As of July 2018, AngularJS development is in Long Term Support (LTS)[1]: while there are no new features planned, AngularJS v1.7 will continue to receive patch updates as needed until June 2021. After that date, developers are encouraged to use Angular (2.0+) instead. The most recent AngularJS update as of March 2020 is v1.7.9, released November 2019. Its a js library. It can be used everywhere there is HTML, CSS and JS supported. Web is the most usable case, but mobile can be another one if you use Ionic framework, or even a webview inside you mobile app in all frameworks on both ios and android
