Candidate dropout between rounds is one of the most consistent pain points we hear about, and it's usually not a compensation problem; it's a silence problem. The candidate aced the technical screen, then heard nothing for nine days, and took something else.

We're looking at which tools actually solve this for teams with four or more hiring stages. What we're hoping to find:

- Automated status updates that fire between stages without a recruiter manually triggering them
- Communication that feels personal rather than obviously templated
- Compliance-aware messaging for teams hiring across regions with data privacy obligations

This sounds like table stakes, but most tools either handle scheduling well or candidate communication well: rarely both, and rarely without stitching together third-party integrations.
