## Zoho Books Reviews
 ### 1. Efficient and intuitive accounting software for small businesses

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

Zoho Books has been a game-changer for managing finances across multiple clients. The automation features, such as recurring invoices and payment reminders save so much time, and the dashboard gives a clear overview of cash flow at a glance. I also find the seamless integration with other Zoho apps and third-party platforms like Stripe and G Suite useful.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

The biggest drawback for me is the lack of consolidated reporting across multiple entities. As someone who handles multiple legal entities, this limitation makes it hard to get a bird’s-eye view of overall financial performance. It would be amazing if Zoho offered native multi-entity consolidation or at least a more advanced workaround. Until then, I still need to export data and manually stitch reports together outside the system.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zoho Books has significantly reduced the manual workload involved in day-to-day financial operations. It streamlines invoicing, payables, bank reconciliations, and tax compliance across multiple entities. Features like automated journal entries, recurring transactions, and audit trails help ensure accuracy while improving overall efficiency. As a Finance Manager, I’ve been able to standardise processes, reduce errors, and maintain cleaner books, all of which contribute to faster month-end closes and better visibility for decision-making. It’s especially beneficial for lean teams managing multiple clients or subsidiaries.

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

I switched von Google Workdrive to Zoho One. The offer is just amazing. It was very easy to switch due to the migration tools, Zoho offers. And now we replaced much of our tool stack with tools from Zoho (like Bigin replaces Pipedrive, Books replaces our old accounting, Campaign replacing ActiveCampaign etc.) So Zoho is our daily driver for everything and with the Zoho One offer, it's really affordable.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

If you do not get support from India, e.g. when you are in LATAM and have support by a local partner, the quality of support is/can be much lower, as the partners are lacking the experience and direct contact to the development teams.

**Reviewed by:** Jordyn W. | Head of Finance & Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

Zoho Books has an easy to use interface, across web and mobile apps. Transactions are easy to create, edit and send to customers, suppliers and other users. Portals are super helpful for our customers and suppliers to view their transactions with us, as well as add or update their details and add credit cards and/or direct debits.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

Bank feeds are through Yodlee for Australian users - this can take up to a week to fetch new transactions, or, have to be manually refreshed with accounts protected by 2FA. This is an issue I have raised with our bank and Zoho, but seems to be taking longer than expected to resolve. This issue isn't the wort to have, just inconvenient at times.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zoho Books helped us move away from Xero, which as helped us integrate with a solid suite of apps to help us deliver products directly to our customers. Books is easy to grasp, highly secure and reliable. We have never had an issue accessing it, even outside of normal business hours.

 ### 16. Zoho One lacks B2B lead management efficiency

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

Zoho One offers a comprehensive suite of tools that integrate well with each other, which is great for streamlining multiple business functions in one place. The level of customisation available in some modules is useful for adapting the system to different business needs.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

The lead management process is frustrating for B2B companies. Zoho’s requirement to map a “Last Name” for all leads, even when only working with companies, leads to inefficient workarounds. As a B2B business, I source company details, not individual contacts, and Zoho's CRM doesn't provide a proper solution for mapping company information efficiently. The support process was also slow, and the workaround offered added more manual work, which defeats the purpose of using a CRM to streamline operations.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zoho One helps centralise multiple business processes, offering an all-in-one solution for managing operations, marketing, sales, and accounting. Its integration with other tools in the suite, such as Zoho Books, helps streamline invoicing and accounting, which saves time and improves operational efficiency. However, its lead management system for B2B businesses is far from ideal, creating inefficiencies rather than solving them.

The customer support for this software experiences take too long for revert and it could should be improved.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You can easily access user data in one place and modify billing address descriptions or add new customers. You can choose your preferred invoicing format, and file GST directly from the Zoho portal. ### 31. A full accounting app at a very good subscription price!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Teresa K. | Owner, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

When I started freelancing, I had to use at least three different apps to keep track of my new business. When I found Zoho Books, I canceled all three because Books handles everything! It allows me to set up clients, projects, tasks, and track time. From there, I can generate invoices and accept payments via credit card and even ACH. And it is a full accounting software, too. So helpful at tax time.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

My only issue with Books is that their support sometimes gives me too technical answers. It would be most helpful if they could talk to me as a user and not an IT person.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me keep track of my business fully. I only have to log into one app to track time, invoice clients, receive payments, reconcile bank accounts, and prepare tax reports.

 ### 32. Awful Experience

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vitaliy V. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

I used to like that it would connect to accounts and that it was included as part of my Zoho one subscription until it broke and support was non-existent.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

It just disconnected from my banks with no notifaction and support can't fix it. They want me to do everything manually which defeats the whole purpose of the software. Essentially useless. A lot of Zoho products are just slapped together and break constantly. Their plugin reviews and off-site reviews show that quite clearly.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not solving much anymore. Thankfully my bank introduced an accounting feature this year so I can just do things through them.

 ### 33. Meets all requirements for accounting processes

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marie S. | Project Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

I appreciate that our invoices can be readily monitored, that they can be sorted by date, invoice number, status, or search by client or dollar amount, and that it can link with a variety of services, including Paypal, Payflow Pro, and Square. Zoho Books is an amazing accounting solution on the market, the main features that Zoho offers include automated reconciliation in the banking module, GST compliance, and interaction with other programs such as Zoho Analytics to generate dashboards and deliver vital insights. It is an excellent accounting tool that can automate regular bills and installment changes and is frequently monitored or freely integrated to other Zoho suite products such as Zoho CRM.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

Business expenditure reports may be time-consuming, especially if you have many business entities, it's all too simple to be in the wrong company "view" and wind up entering your work in the wrong corporation. Zoho Books has to work on the data extraction aspect; the data output in Excel has formatting issues and is often difficult to handle; and the online display of reports such as Balance Sheet, P&L, and Trial Balance is obsolete and may be improved, improvement, everything else is great and noteworthy.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zoho Books is an all-in-one accounting software that categorizes all your receivables, payables, invoices, and estimates, moreover, since we use various other Zoho apps such as CRM, it is a seamless integration to complete tasks like creating customers and linking activities like quotes and invoices to CRM, Zoho Books comes with rich features and many other Zoho applications that help you solve many complex business problems. Great features include automatic adjustment of banking modules, cloud storage, easy remote access, analytics and advanced intelligence with Zoho Analytics and Zoho Books, and integration with amazing payment strategies like PayPal and Stripe, you can process many payments and track them through robot updates.

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

It has a clean and simple UI with loads of automation to help with reporting, budgeting, and payment administration, It is also simple to integrate with the Zoho platform and third-party applications. Zoho Books is a cloud-based accounting software that can link with payment gateways, banks, and other financial institutions, making it simple to track, make, and receive payments. Zoho Books is a top-notch program that does all I need and much more, making accounting simple.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

It is strict about following the procedure, and you are somewhat limited in utilizing handwritten journal entries, so you must make sure you do everything correctly the first time. To take use of all the wonderful intricacies and features, further training is necessary.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use software to manage all project accounting, including invoices and accounts payable, this will save you a lot of time, find everything you need for your company, It's also very easy to share information with other colleagues. ### 35. Simplify accounting with Zoho Books has everything you need.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

One of the things I like most about Zoho Books is its user-friendly interface, the software is intuitive and easy to use, making it accessible to users of all experience levels, this is especially useful for small business owners and entrepreneurs. You may not have a lot of accounting experience, another great feature of Zoho Books is its integration with other Zoho products, If you are already using other Zoho software like CRM or Invoicing, you can easily connect them to your Zoho Books account for seamless data transfer. This saves time, reduces cost and risk of errors, there's a lot to like about safety and feasibility, I think the two-factor authentication, the various transaction recovery options, and all the other things that you need to keep your business running are working very well.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

A major disadvantage of Zoho Books is that it may lack sophisticated functionality compared to other accounting software solutions; while it provides a wide range of tools, it may not be the ideal option for firms with highly particular needs or those require a high level of customisation. Another issue I have with Zoho Books is its limited reporting capabilities; while the software provides some basic reporting choices, it lacks the comprehensive reporting tools seen in other accounting applications. Customer service may be significantly improved.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zoho Books helps businesses optimize their accounting processes by providing a user-friendly interface and a wide range of services such as invoicing, expenditure monitoring, and bank reconciliation, which may save time and money, errors are reduced, allowing business owners to focus on other parts of their operations. Second, it assists organizations in better managing their money by giving real-time financial information and data that may aid in decision-making and budgeting, It addresses practically all billing and accounting concerns, and I can gladly report that the experience has been fantastic so far in invoicing, payment tracking, and inventory sorting.

 ### 36. Fluid, powerful, fairly user friendly even if you don't know what you are doing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Travis H. | Sole Proprietor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

The ability to carry multiple organizations has been significantly helpful for my uses. The application range has made it easy for my team and I to collaborate on the fly. The look and feel is very clean, makes sense with a little bit of learning, and has a lot of tools o haven't even begun to dig into. I am beyond excited to keep integrating it further into our operations. Using the product on a daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly routine has been fairly seamless for our team.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

I have had some challenges with the way services link, though with the appropriate help from the Zoho team; everything has been stellar. I honestly cannot think of something I didn't appreciate or could understand the limitations. Other products have had gla ing defects. I am failing to find them for Zoho books, though I know some of the integration and extension stream could have some improvement.

One area of challenge was implementation. Though, again, I can understand the issue we had. To avoid the issues we had to resolve; ensure you implement and setup Zoho books using the instructions. Oversight or mismanagement is easy to cause. Knowledgeable individuals and professionals that have used this product frequently can disregard. Though for you newbies, follow the setup steps!

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Consolidating everything to a single location has been huge. Having our billing, subscriptions, all the elements available in a well thought out system has increased productivity.

Benchmarks and data management has also improved by leveraging the systems available within Zoho Books. This streamlines the information and makes reconciliation a less complex process.

 ### 37. Excellent software makes accounting easy.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Darlene V. | Project Manager, Clinical Supplies, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

It is really simple and intuitive to use, which simplified the whole accounting process. I especially appreciate the different reports that can be exported with the press of a button. Zoho Books has all of the functionality required for transparent accounting. GST compliant invoices may be issued from Zoho Books, and journal entries are created immediately when clients pay an invoice. Bank statements instantly connect with Zoho Books, making bookkeeping simple.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

Because it has cloud access, information virus can arise, strange intruders can access sensitive data, custom reports in Zoho Books are a little flaky and not very flexible to use/view, and it does not allow or enable complicated management reports. It takes a lot when you obtain data from many sources and sometimes you can't manage the data properly; it may have been better if they added exact formats in Zoho and linked with their partners.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is assisting us in automating our accounting compliance, where we have granted payroll access to submit costs (subaccounts), and it has also made the whole accounting process significantly easier. Zoho Books simplifies accounting and bookkeeping by creating GST-compliant invoices and recording payments in a single program, reducing total bookkeeping time and thereby increasing performance. Zoho Books manages our financial needs very easily by correctly recognizing transactions, facilitating collection and payment, and managing employees' salaries and wages on time. It has improved the smoothness and satisfaction of my suppliers and employees, and has made collections easier.
