Zip has significantly simplified the management of procurement workflows across various teams. The intake form is particularly helpful, as it collects all the essential information from requesters at the outset, minimizing unnecessary back-and-forth and ensuring that approvals from Finance, Legal, Privacy, and Security are automatically routed. Additionally, it proves valuable for tracking renewals and consolidating requests in a single location, which enhances visibility into spending and vendor management. Overall, this tool has played a key role in centralizing processes that were previously fragmented and handled manually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Zip? While Zip has certainly streamlined our procurement process, it can sometimes feel inflexible when requesters fail to provide all the necessary information. This often results in delays, as Procurement must follow up to clarify missing details. It would be much more efficient if there were an option to transfer a request into a different workflow when a requester selects the wrong one, rather than having to cancel and start over. Another issue involves the feature that lets you add people to departmental queues for visibility. Although the idea is solid, those added individuals automatically receive email notifications from Zip, which can lead to excessive and unnecessary emails. Some teams, such as Accounting, have also mentioned that certain aspects of the P2P process feel rigid. However, in my experience, this sometimes stems more from the learning curve and the need for users to fully engage with the tool, rather than from actual limitations of Zip itself. I would also appreciate the ability to generate a PO after a request is finalized, especially if the original payment method was chosen incorrectly or needs to be changed. Additionally, the platform could be improved with more user-friendly reporting and analytics, particularly regarding renewals and usage patterns. An escalation feature to prompt slow approvers would also help keep workflows moving smoothly. Overall, these are mostly minor adjustments, and I believe the company is actively working on enhancements. What problems is Zip solving and how is that benefiting you? Zip has centralized and standardized our entire procurement process, which was previously fragmented and heavily manual. By adopting Zip as our intake and approval platform, we now benefit from a transparent, auditable workflow that ensures Finance, Legal, Privacy, and Security teams are involved at the appropriate stages, eliminating the need for email threads or manual tracking. With Zip, we are able to reduce cycle times by gathering all required information upfront through structured intake forms. Compliance and risk management have improved, as requests are automatically routed to the correct stakeholders. We also have greater visibility into active requests, renewals, and vendor data, allowing Procurement to take proactive rather than reactive measures. Additionally, invoice management, sourcing, and P2P processes are now consolidated within a single tool, which has helped minimize duplicate requests and reduce shadow spend. In summary, Zip has made our procurement process more efficient at scale, lowered the risk of missed approvals or renewals, and provided stakeholders with a much clearer understanding of spend and vendor management. Its flexibility allows us to either integrate with other platforms or operate entirely within ZIP, which is a significant advantage. We've successfully mandated approvals and facilitated interactions across various supporting areas of the business, making it easy to track every step. The platform offers a high level of transparency, enabling stakeholders to clearly see the status of ongoing processes. One of the most important aspects is that it's completely code-free and plug-and-play. We don't require assistance from consultants or developers to make changes, even to live workflows.
