  ### 1. Easy to Use, Great-Looking Forms & Tickets—No Fees

Easy to use!

Reporting is easy for our Finance person. She loves when we use Zeffy.

**What do you dislike about Zeffy?**

You desperately need to integrate with a credit card reader. 

The biggest issue we are having is selling tickets at the door and telling everyone to scan the QR code and make a purchase. Older people get MAD and want to just scan their card. I believe their are workarounds for this, but we have not been successful at implementing them. We use Square for some events/programs for this reason, and we hate Square.

Zeffy fees default to extremely high %. I know you make your money off of these fees, but you might be better off having a 10% fee available, and removing the ability to assign a 0% fee. Honestly, the inclination we have now- in order to sell more tickets- is to let people know that they can edit the fee -- and once they do that, they see that they can set it to 0, which is bad for you guys.

**What problems is Zeffy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy ticket sales for event without fees. We use Zeffy specifically for large scale events that have paid tickets. The ONLY issue with this is the at-the-door sales which are complicated by not having a card reader.

Adding a note in your event description in your own words is the best way to prepare attendees before they reach checkout. On keeping the zero option: it is intentional, both for donor trust and for donors who genuinely cannot afford to contribute to Zeffy. Zeffy's peer to peer fundraising is worth a look for events where you want supporters to build their own fundraising pages and drive ticket sales from their networks. It is so much easier to use than the previous platform, very user friendly for our new organization's learning curves!
It also is a selling point that their card won't be charged credit card fees automatically, the donor can choose any amount to support Zeffy instead.

Some people objected to the voluntary fees "to keep Zeffy operating without automatic credit card fees".

It really helps tracking the donations and ticket purchases instead of having to manually track them. it offers multitudes of ways to print out and track entries, collects information to respond to the donors too.

**What do you like best about Zeffy?**

This year we switched from another platform to Zeffy for registration for our annual, multi-day conference. The process was super easy. They were responsive to questions. Our organinzation kept more of our revenue and the payout feature was better. Purchasers were happy with the ease of use and the reporting feature was customizable and easy to use for us as event orgaizers. We had such a good experience, we are using Zeffy for registration for all of our events now.

We would love if Zeffy was more mergable with Zoom or other online platforms.

As an advisor to nonprofits, I give Zeffy.com my highest recommendation. 

Zeffy is a nonprofit technology platform that, unlike it's competitors, is completely transparent when it comes to pricing -- it's 100% free. 

Zeffy is like a Swiss Army knife! Multiple features are contained in a single integrated platform that covers every aspect of fundraising and nonprofit operations. Zeffy recently added newsletters that eliminate the cost and hassle of Constant Contact and MailChimp. 

Their free mobile app has a "Tap to Pay" feature that transforms your standard iPhone or Android device into a credit card terminal. You no longer need to buy clunky hardware or Square readers to accept payments at a gala, bake sale, or charity run. You simply open the app, enter the donation amount, and the donor taps their card or phone against yours. It is seamless, professional, and like the rest of the platform, completely free of transaction fees. It is a game-changer for live events. 

When you consider all the standalone services your nonprofit is currently paying for, replacing them with Zeffy is the logical choice.

**What do you dislike about Zeffy?**

When I tell my nonprofit clients about Zeffy, they are usually skeptical—we are all used to "free" software having hidden transaction fees or "pro" tiers. Zeffy is the exception. It is genuinely 100% free for the nonprofit. They cover all credit card processing fees (which usually eat up 3-5% of your revenue) by asking donors for a voluntary tip at checkout. Zeffy provides appropriate messaging during the process. However, not all donors are familiar with the concept of "tipping" Zeffy. Donors are unaware of the substantial investment Zeffy made in creating, maintaining and improving their technology platform.

As an advisor to nonprofits, I know that my clients will have an easy transition to the Zeffy platform and will substantially reduce their cost of operations.

**What do you like best about Zeffy?**

What I like best about Zeffy is the simplicity combined with functionality. After more than 25 years using CRM and donor platforms, I really appreciate how easy it is to track donors, view their communication history in one place, and see engagement such as email opens and link clicks. I also love the organization page, which gives supporters a clear landing page to see our activity and ways to engage. Compared with many costly platforms, Zeffy offers tremendous value and has the features nonprofits truly need.

**What do you dislike about Zeffy?**

I do not have any major dislikes. One of the things I appreciate most is that Zeffy listens to its users and continues to improve. The platform keeps getting better, and that responsiveness gives me confidence that they are building with nonprofits in mind.

Zeffy helps solve the problem of having to piece together too many different tools to manage fundraising, donor engagement, events, and outreach. What I like best about using Zeffy for Alberta Northwest Palliative Care Society is how simple and cost-effective it is. I’ve used Zeffy for a bunch of different types of campaigns, and it’s been amazing every time. Because Zeffy doesn’t charge transaction fees, we know that 100% of donations go directly to supporting palliative care in our community. The platform is easy to use for both our team and our donors, which saves us time and reduces stress, and it makes tracking donations and managing campaigns really straightforward.

One drawback is the CRM management. It’s not super easy to use, and managing donor information can feel a bit clunky at times. There’s a learning curve compared to other platforms, which can make some tasks take longer than expected.

I was extremely excited to learn how there are no processing fees and that a group of individuals took this on as a project.  Thank you from us but the many donors and other charities that you are helping, truly a great idea and software.

Nice to know that I can say "every penny you donate, is coming to the charity, no processing fees, no software fees..."  This speaks volumes to our donors and it's so great to have a NFP company who listened and took this on.

Clearly have a system that is intuitive, easy to use and the customer support is switch and really good.

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.  The software is really easy to use.

**What problems is Zeffy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cost of software - it's expensive and yours is free to use with all of the benefits of saving the processing fees, and people who actually help when you contact support.  If you need support...  The software is simple to use, easy to set up and the money transfers are seamless.  You don't even have to initiate, the automation is wonderful as well.

The only thing that I would change is at the end of checking out, making sure users know that the donation is going to Zeffy instead of whichever organization is using it.

The platform is also very user-friendly: it’s easy to set up, and it’s simple for our supporters to navigate. Knowing that more of every dollar goes directly to our mission makes Zeffy an easy choice for our nonprofit.

Honestly, there’s very little to dislike. Since it’s a growing platform, there are a few more advanced features and customization options that could keep evolving over time, but nothing has gotten in the way of us successfully running registrations, collecting donations, or hosting fundraisers. **What do you like best about Zeffy?**

I use Zeffy for receiving donations to my Church, and its biggest draw is that it's free. Zeffy easily provides my Church with a QR code for donations, which we've incorporated into our church slideshow so people can easily donate from the pews, as very few people carry around checks or cash anymore. We even used Zeffy to sell raffle tickets for fundraising which showcases its versatility in creating unique fundraising campaigns. I found the analytics on the backend to be really useful for tracking donors and sending donation receipts with our tax ID information. Setting up Zeffy was easy enough for someone who is only mildly tech-savvy.

**What do you dislike about Zeffy?**

I think Zeffy is great! Many people struggle with navigating technology so perhaps more free, virtual forum on how to use the product and what’s its benefits are would be helpful!

**What problems is Zeffy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Zeffy because it's free, provides our Church with a QR code accepting donations, is versatile and, finally, because it offers useful analytics for tracking donors and sending receipts.

Zeffy has completely transformed how we handle transactions at our window. The donor UX is incredibly frictionless: we use Tap to Pay directly on our phones (iOS and Android), so there’s no clunky hardware to faff with. The moment a donation is made, the system sends an automatic receipt, which donors love for their records and saves us hours of manual work.

The biggest "win" for us is the ability to link campaigns directly to participation waivers and registrations. We’ve actually seen an increase in donations because we’ve integrated the "ask" into the registration process. By making it one seamless step instead of two separate tasks, people are much more likely to give. It’s professional, fast, and ensures that 100% of the funds go toward our mission.

It’s hard to find a downside when the platform is free and works this well. Any time we've had a question about setting up a new campaign link, their support team has been quick to jump in and help.

We moved away from PayPal and Zeffy solved the "fee problem" while simultaneously making our check-out and donation process much faster for our supporters.  We’ve seen a direct increase in donation volume by linking our waivers to our giving campaigns.

What's not to love about Zeffy?! We made the switch a few years ago because of the no-fee platform, but have stayed because of everything else! The user interface, the capabilities to customize, all the features besides just accepting gifts, have all been extremely helpful. We've seen a significant increase in online donations since using Zeffy. We use for events and membership, and if we ever have questions, the help desk is there!

What I like best about Zeffy is how much money and time it saves us. We keep 100% of every donation or sale, no transaction fees, which has saved us $2,212 in just one year. It’s easy to issue refunds, quick to set up same-day campaigns for concessions or on-site sales, and flexible enough to handle our events without added hassle. It just works, and that makes a big difference.

**What do you dislike about Zeffy?**

At this point, there isn’t anything I strongly dislike. It’s been reliable, easy to use, and has consistently met our needs.

**What problems is Zeffy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Most platforms skim 2–5% off every donation or ticket sale. Zeffy doesn’t. That means when someone pays $20, the organization actually receives the full $20 — not $18.73 after processing, platform, and “surprise” fees. Over the past year alone, we’ve saved $2,212 by using Zeffy, which is real money back into programs instead of payment processors.

Refunds are straightforward and easy to manage, which matters more than people realize when running events. We’re also able to create same-day campaigns for concessions and on-site sales during events, making it incredibly flexible and practical. It’s reduced administrative headaches, simplified our workflows, and honestly just made things easier across the board.

Zeffy is amazing about taking a step by step approach to begin you fundraising journey. They provide every training tool imaginable to make it seamless to fundraise. I also LOVE that we are keeping 100% of our profits! This platform is perfect for beginners!

If I had to disclose any dislikes about this organization is the attachment of logos and photos. They must be smaller to fit in the selected area. That's the only small thing I can think of.

It isn't a big deal, but I needed my Google ads to go to a thank you page on my website after someone donates, Zeffy took care of it right away. It might be nice to be able to enable that myself, but not a big deal.

We designed our nonprofit around Zeffy using various campaigns to set up donation pages for specific restaurants or geographic areas. This allows us to determine where the donor wants the money to be spent.

We were struggling to find an inexpensive, but effective way to sell tickets to our events. As a nonprofit, cost is very important, but most other free, or low cost, services are confusing or complicated. Zeffy is the only one that checked both boxes for us.

Zeffy has been very easy to set up and start using quickly. In a few hours we had our account set up and posted the donation form on our website. Zeffy is also very easy to pull reports from and they transmit incoming donations to our bank account efficiently.

We also use Boomerang for our donor management database. It would be great to see an integration between Zeffy and Boomerang to help us avoid manual data entry.

It is super easy to use. It took me step by step to create our campaigns. I was able to add our logo and customize each campaign with attention grabbing graphics. And Zeffy doesn't take a % of our sales so 100% of the money raised goes towards providing educational opportunities for our students!

There was nothing to dislike about Zeffy.

We used to use Cash App, Venmo and EventBrite. Venmo and EventBrite took a % of our fundraising efforts. That wasn't fair to our students who worked so hard to fundraise. Cash App gave us 100% of our revenue, but it crashed when more than a handful of people donated at the same time. That caused a lot of frustration and we lost sales/donations. 

Zeffy gives us 100% of the money we raise and does not crash when multiple people purchase or donate money at the same time. We have only received positive feedback from our parents and families. They love how easy it is to use the platform. We can even translate our campaigns to Spanish. This is extremely important for our bilingual parents and families.

Zeffy is easy to use, super powerful, and low cost. It has a great contact management system for mass communications and an impressive page builder for fundraising campaigns and ticketing. I recommend it to all my nonprofit friends.

We add the option to add a membership purchase to all of our fundraising campaigns. However, we have not figured out a way to link these membership purchase add-ons to our ongoing membership campaign so that our membership data is up-to-date.

What I like the most is having my event registration and payments in the same form.  Too many times were we chasing payments for camp registrations or travel fees when using forms and then another payment platform.

I would love a better way to organize my active and past campaigns.  Currently it is by creation date so sometimes I have active ones that are older and newer ones we aren't using yet all mixed in together.

Event registrations and fee collection all in one form/link.  Another plus is the scheduled bank transfers.  Having it be automatic saves the manual transfers.  Being able to create a report to see what campaigns the money goes to also makes life easy for me as we transfer into a single bank account but then have to transfer the money into different accounts for different parts of our organization.

Love that Zeffy is free for non profits. That ensures all of our fundraising goes to the program and that the students benefit the most. Was easy to set up for an admin and once I had the main account set up I can invite other users to create their event. Works great for our organization.  Great and easy to use feedback from people attending our events.

Have not found a downside yet. Going to start and online apparel store. Will update review once that is up and running.

Additionally, it's very user friendly, and of course we appreciate the support we receive as a nonprofit.

When we needed to update or make clearer our levels of tickets of sponsorship, we could do that.
If we needed to create a specialized ticket level for someone (like a wedding party), Zeffy showed us how to do that.
When I could not get into the site to edit for a couple of days, they responded and we got the issue fixed.

"Dislike" is a bit too drastic. There are some areas I would like to suggest changes. 
a) In their ticket section, I would like to have a "Menu" section first before the tickets, outlining what the various tickets are in that category.
b) I would like to be able to filter a list to see just the various levels of people who have registered (Those with RVs. Those without Cars. Those who need ADA spots, etc).

**What problems is Zeffy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collecting Funds for me, and transferring that money into our non-profit's accounts so smoothly. SIMPLE refund procedures. 
I do wish they had an automatic "collect tax for this zip code" function so automatically add tax to the tickets.

For recurring fees on membership, it would be nice to set the renewal date to something like the first of each month. I haven't found where I can change the date that memberships are charged so they come in at different times over a period of 2 weeks.

Zeffy makes it very easy to set up campaigns, and they're flexible and easily adaptable to causes and to changes to the campaign if necessary. The best thing about Zeffy is that we get all the donations without any fee whatsoever, whenever.

It would be great if the payout were more flexible. Offer same-day or next-day payouts instead of waiting until Monday of next week or once a month only.

I like its many features and that we receive 100% of our donations. I have been able to customize campaigns for our different donation needs. For example we have a general donations campaign, a ticket sales campaign and a corporate sponsorship campaign.

It would be helpful if different campaigns could be linked to different bank accounts. Some campaign funds are designated differently than others and having them automatically separated would be helpful versus transferring the funds manually.

**What problems is Zeffy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is allowing us one place to collect donations, sell event tickets and take corporate donations. I am not having to use multiple apps or websites. It streamlines our donation process. The event features of guest check-in, e-tickets and email capabilities is saving me so much time. Before these features I was having to manage those things manually.

We are so grateful to our Board member who recommended Zeffy. Since we've been using it, we've saved over $1,600 in fees. Setting up campaigns is really simple and it interfaces with our Squarespace website beautifully, making it easy for donors to give and visitors to register for programs.

For us, Zeffy isn't robust enough to replace a real CRM, so there's some double-entry of transactions, but it's great at what it does. If every penny counts, Zeffy is a great option.

Zeffy allows us to have a great general donation form as well as flexible event registration.  It keeps getting more features - all with ZERO transaction fees for ANYONE.

The Zeffy "tip" field defaults to a pretty big amount, and it takes more effort than it should to zero it out, if that's what a donor wants to do.  Too many clicks.

Reports and formatting of app bring clarity on donations and payments, and of course, the ability to focus on true expenses rather than having to factor in payment processing fees for every event or offering.

The campaign system can be difficult to navigate with special circumstances or offerings, but I have seen them work to add more flexibility and options.

**What problems is Zeffy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem was the payment processing fees of Stripe and PayPal which were requiring us to ask for more from our donors and members.  The donations are now all going to our school and its mission.  As we have explored Zeffy more and as Zeffy continues to rollout new features, we have found other benefits in this resource:  easy email communications, clear reports of income and donors, immediate donor contact and receipts, and access points for staff.

Not very customizable with things like membership cards specifically, as they appear to be one-size-fits-all, and we need to be able to manually edit. Additionally, Zeffy doesn't allow for SMS/text msg campaigns. Lastly, reporting is not as dynamic or customizable as it should be; for example, I am unable to report on questions about my membership drive campaign.

We are a non-profit with limited resources, and Zeffy has saved approximately. $75/month since we closed our Constant Contact account, and has become a one-stop shop (centralized location) for all of our fundraising needs.

Zeffy is easy to use and customize for your organization. It is easy for us and easy for our sponsors to use. It doesn't cost our non-profit any money to use.

While Zeffy is free for the non-profit to collect donations the application does ask for a donation from the donors. Which is reasonable, however a tip amount automatically being filled in may not be the best way to operate even though the donor is able to change the amount or even make it zero.
