The reason I like it is because it is free and-open source. And another great feature about this product is it could be used as Private - your links only or Public - anyone can create short links, it also provides traffic statistics, location and sources, good for developers as it is available on GitHub, jsonp support, ajax dashboard, plugins to avoid bloating when customizing, etc among lot of other things. It is not really an issue but I do not find the installation straight-forward. You need to perform multiple steps and also some additional database configuration which I dislike.
