YAPL is a cloud-based project planning and resource management platform that combines interactive Gantt charts with real-time collaboration capabilities and a local-first offline architecture. The software is designed for project managers and cross-functional teams requiring visual scheduling, resource allocation tracking, and multi-project portfolio oversight. The system supports industries managing complex workflows with interdependent tasks, including construction, product development, and enterprise project management. The platform features a comprehensive Gantt chart editor supporting work breakdown structure creation, critical path analysis, and task dependency management. Local-first design enables users to continue editing plans while offline, with automatic synchronization upon reconnection. Version tracking maintains historical records of plan iterations and allows review and restoration of previous configurations. Resource management extends across personnel, equipment, and materials, tracking utilization, schedules, and associated costs across single and multiple plans. Kanban board views offer drag-and-drop task management with customizable status columns and tag-based categorization. Real-time metrics dashboards display counts of active projects, completed tasks, team member statistics, and schedule health indicators. The platform provides S-curve visualization for cumulative spending analysis and compares planned and actual cost progression over time. Activity timelines record chronological logs of plan publications, team assignments, project creation, and archival actions, facilitating audit trails. Task distribution analytics break down work items by status categories, while resource allocation tables monitor capacity and budget constraints. Team management functionality supports organizational grouping by department, contractor type, or functional role, with member assignment tracking across concurrent projects. Import and export capabilities for Microsoft Project and Excel file formats enable data exchange with existing ecosystems. Workspace-based multi-tenancy offers scalable access control and permission management suitable for growing organizations overseeing multiple projects.
