## About XFA
XFA secures every device used for work, including the bring-your-own-device (BYOD), personal and contractor devices that traditional MDM never sees. XFA discovers every device, informs users of any issues to fix, and requires each device to pass security checks such as disk encryption, screen lock and an up-to-date OS before it can access work applications, all without invasive control of the device. It connects to your identity provider (Microsoft, Google, Okta and others) and reports device compliance evidence to GRC tools like Vanta, Drata and Thoropass. What makes XFA different: Complete coverage. Unlike traditional MDM, XFA covers every device used for work, company-owned or personal, so BYOD and contractor devices stop being a blind spot. Privacy-respecting by design. XFA verifies and enforces device security without taking control of the device, so people keep their privacy and IT keeps the assurance. Compliant and audit-ready. XFA automates device-security policy enforcement and feeds the evidence straight into your compliance tools. Fast, self-serve rollout. The organization is set up in minutes, fully automated, and users self-install on their own device, on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android. XFA is a fully automated, privacy-respecting alternative to MDM that keeps modern teams secure and compliant.

## XFA Reviews
  ### 1. XFA Makes Elementary Device Security Easy, Clear and Fast

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jim S. | Full Stack Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2026

**What do you like best about XFA?**

In a few points: ease of use, clear dashboards, fast and efficient support (by email or through appointments) that’s always delivered with a friendly attitude, fair pricing, and non-invasive security.

We started using XFA last year, and it has been a very useful companion for our IT team when managing high-level device security. It’s given us a lot of insight, and it has also saved us time on support thanks to the clear tutorials our colleagues can follow.

The app itself, whether on computer or mobile, is very easy for our coworkers to install and use. It’s lightweight and respects the privacy of BYOD users, which is especially important for us.

**What do you dislike about XFA?**

A key feature that is missing is the possibility to create user groups and allow us to apply policy to them.

A dream scenario would be that, through the office integration, XFA would automatically fetch Office groups, and allow us to apply specific policies to them. So that the onboarding of new colleagues from various departments is as automated as possible.

**What problems is XFA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

XFA saves us time in support, but also in hardware hygiene and a company culture.

  ### 2. Non-Intrusive Security Management Made Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephane J. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2026

**What do you like best about XFA?**

I like that XFA is lightweight, non-intrusive, and easy to manage. It contributes by improving people's security stance themselves. It allows us to have confidence in our security without having a heavy burden of management. The initial setup for users is very easy; just sending a mail, clicking on a link, installing an extension, and off you go in a couple of minutes.

**What do you dislike about XFA?**

I'm looking forward to future releases of XFA that will address specific threats of AI. I hope the updates ensure that data is not shared for training purposes and maybe blacklist some models or apps known to leak data.

**What problems is XFA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use XFA to manage our diverse fleet of devices securely. It provides a nonintrusive way to monitor devices without heavy management, boosting our security confidence without imposing restrictions.

  ### 3. Modern & Scalable Zero-Trust Security for Unmanaged Devices

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2026

**What do you like best about XFA?**

Modern, privacy-first security for unmanaged devices. Excellent fit for BYOD environments, with a lightweight footprint, smooth/easy installation, and easy self-onboarding. Works seamlessly across all device types.

**What do you dislike about XFA?**

As a relatively young product, XFA is still rolling out new features, so some capabilities are evolving over time. The enforcement-driven approach means users receive frequent reminders until they comply with security policies, which is effective from a security standpoint but can occasionally feel intrusive from a user experience perspective.

**What problems is XFA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We operate a 200-person company with a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) strategy, where employees regularly access company data from personal devices, including from home. XFA allows us to enforce a consistent and strong security posture across the entire workforce without intrusive device management.

The zero-touch deployment makes it easy to roll out at scale, while the zero-trust compliance model ensures access is continuously verified rather than assumed. This gives us confidence that company data is only accessed from compliant devices, without adding friction for users or overhead for IT. The solution is highly scalable and fits naturally with how a modern, distributed team works.

  ### 4. XFA - Simple to deploy, keeps our BYOD fleet compliant

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hristo I. | IT Operations Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about XFA?**

XFA offers a simple, user-friendly UI. It's easy for admins to deploy and install, and end users can self-onboard with minimal effort. It also respects user privacy in BYOD environments.

**What do you dislike about XFA?**

So far I haven't run into any significant drawbacks.

**What problems is XFA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

XFA ensures that all of our BYOD devices stay compliant, and it helps us discover new devices accessing our SaaS tools.

  ### 5. Easy to Use with Seamless Vanta Integration

**What do you like best about XFA?**

I love XFA's architecture because it doesn't require admin access to devices like traditional MDM tools. This feature verifies the security of our devices effectively. It's also very easy to set up, which adds to the usability. XFA's integration into our Google Workspace is seamless, and overall, I've had a great experience with nothing wrong so far.

  ### 8. Simple, Clear Explainers That Make Getting Things Done Easy.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2026

**What do you like best about XFA?**

Simplicity. Explainers on how to get things done.

**What do you dislike about XFA?**

Not a problem (in fact, it is the opposite), they update the app too often.

**What problems is XFA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1 Keep track of security issues with the devices linked to my organization. 2 Have an updated list of hardware assets.

  ### 9. Valuable tool to support BYOD

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simon W. | IT admin / software engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 30, 2024

**What do you like best about XFA?**

XFA allows us to easily support BYOD with minimal hassle. All of our tooling is SaaS, with XFA we can simply ensure that people use safe and secure devices to access these tools, whether they are their own or company provided.

**What do you dislike about XFA?**

It's a wild west of different devices and platforms out there, so you might bump into the occasional device where not all properties are recognized correctly from the get-go. However, they are quick to resolve this as soon as you report this.

**What problems is XFA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automatic onboarding and (if needed) blocking of BYOD devices. Employees simply want to login to their work tools on any device and this allows us to support that. If a device is not trusted, they are automatically prevented from using that device for work purposes.
