It provides a central platform to manage many of our Health & Safety requirements, including compliance activities, risk assessments, training, audits, inspections and actions. The easy access to KPIs also gives us good visibility of our H&S performance and helps us monitor progress across different areas of the business. The Power BI functionality is another valuable feature, as it allows us to turn the data collected through the platform into meaningful reports and dashboards for management. The introduction of AI capabilities is also a great added advantage and has the potential to further improve data analysis, reporting and decision-making at a higher level. Overall, Work Wallet has helped us move towards a more structured, consistent and data-driven approach to Health & Safety management. **What do you dislike about Work Wallet?** There are not many things I dislike about Work Wallet. Overall, my experience with the platform has been very positive. Occasionally, the system can be a little slow, particularly when working with larger amounts of information. However, this has not been a major issue, as the Work Wallet support team is very responsive and efficient in resolving any technical issues when they arise. There are also some areas within the Environmental Management System that could be further developed, particularly around COSHH assessments and related environmental management features. However, these improvements are already in the development pipeline, and we have been advised that they will be addressed in future updates. Overall, I see these as areas for continuous improvement rather than significant limitations of the platform. The responsiveness of the Work Wallet team gives me confidence that user feedback is taken seriously and improvements are continually being made. **What problems is Work Wallet solving and how is that benefiting you?** Since its introduction in 2023, Work Wallet has helped us move towards a more efficient and consistent approach to Health & Safety compliance, while significantly reducing our reliance on paper-based processes. One of the key benefits is that many of our Health & Safety activities can now be managed and monitored digitally in one place. This makes it easier to demonstrate compliance, maintain records and have quick access to information when required. The RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) process has also improved significantly, particularly through the communication and collaboration features. It allows relevant teams to review, communicate and manage RAMS more effectively. Asset inspections and H&S audits are another area where the platform has made a real difference. Inspections and audits can be planned, completed, recorded and followed up in a structured way, giving us better visibility of outstanding actions and overall compliance. The Contractor Management functionality is also a great feature. It helps us manage contractor information and H&S requirements more effectively and provides better oversight of contractor compliance. Overall, Work Wallet has helped us reduce paperwork, improve visibility and accountability, and create a more streamlined and accessible Health & Safety management process across the business. ### 2. I also appreciate that it stays focused solely on Health and Safety, rather than branching into other areas. Since adding features such as the contractor gateway, permits, and inductions, it has helped speed up productivity by removing endless paperwork and reducing the need for face-to-face inductions that can take up to an hour at a time. Using the Permits feature also helps me keep track of what’s been raised, what’s currently live, and where it’s being used. The photo feature is useful too, as it helps provide evidence should anything go wrong. The AI in photos is okay, but it rarely meets what’s required and sometimes comes across as too generic. I don’t use this function often, although it does have its purpose in some areas. the support received from Matt has been exemplary, and assisting us where we have struggled to use th system correctly but also taking feedback and ideas to improve the system in a way that could improve the performance of WorkWallet and G F Tomlinson. i feel that we get value for our money and the costs saved where site managers are tied down with paper work **What do you dislike about Work Wallet?** Our biggest gripe with Work Wallet is the inductions process. When operatives need to provide evidence of competencies (i.e., CSCS cards), they have to enter the date taken, which isn’t relevant and is time-consuming. Operatives also need to take a picture of the front and back, but they can only upload one image at a time. This means they end up entering the date taken and completing the same steps four times, which doesn’t help speed things up—especially for people with low IT skills. Toolbox talks also don’t seem to push through to the contractor gateway. It would help if a restriction could be added so that all operatives must complete the TBT before they can clock out. **What problems is Work Wallet solving and how is that benefiting you?** The integration of travel distances between home and site has helped us capture our local labour KPIs more accurately, as well as our carbon capture. This has also supported us on our framework bids. ### 3. It's super easy to use, and all our on-site personnel have adopted it well. I like being able to access both the desktop version and the mobile app, which is extremely helpful for equipment checks and monitoring. The ability to quickly collect and collate data for company meetings is a big plus, since I can manage KPIs, statistics, and trends efficiently. The traceability feature is fantastic, letting me verify that inductions and risk assessments are completed, and check cards are in date, all from my phone. Plus, getting notifications when tasks are closed out is very handy and saves a lot of legwork. Overall, it makes everything so accessible and convenient, supporting both digital and hard copy processes seamlessly. **What do you dislike about Work Wallet?** The initial setup of Work Wallet was a bit overwhelming for me. Since I was in charge of it, the whole process was a bit much at first. I did have support from Elle, our account manager, who guided me through it and helped set things up, which was great.
