What problems is WordPress Support 24*7 solving and how is that benefiting you?
I benefited from some help updating my website but haven't benefited from a hosting package I paid for 2years ago:
- I paid, got no service or support to migrate data
- I followed up again and was offered an extension fo my package but still no migration
- I followed up again a year later (last year) and still no hosting migration or service activated.
- I followed up again this year only to be told my hosting package had a year left. I asked for a refund as I still had no hosted website.
- They refused on the basis PayPal don't refund such old pmts. I sent a snapshot of Paypal's website suggesting refunds for older payments are at the discretion of WP.
- WP replied offering 1 Year refund And a credit for the balance of the last 2 years to be used towards their other services:
- I was still focused on activating and honouring the 3 or 4 year hosting term they offered. Or a full refund if they weren't happy to proceed.
- So by now, they refused to honour the full term. They refused to refund the full amount and they haven't insisted on activating the host service.
- I wasn't happy as I was going round in circles for yet another 2mths by now, getting different information each time and renegging on their offers.
- In the meantime had been paying my existing host $330aud annually. Even my existing host was frustrated and even helped outline in point form a step by step migration process which I forwarded to WP.
- Still no migrated data. They kept insisting on domain details which weren't necessary at that point.
- I asked for full refund on the basis it was 2 yrs later, too difficult and I lost confidence.
- They only just came back to me after a "management meeting" and declined ANY refund, even the 1 year they offered initially last month, but offering a credit towards other services I don't need!
- very unhappy with the level of service and unprofessional inconsistent communication, commitments and behaviour Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
