Honestly the biggest win for us was how fast we could actually use the data we already have. We needed to get our customer history out of Snowflake and right in front of our support agents in Zendesk. Normally that means writing up a huge scope document, begging IT to build a custom API, and waiting six weeks. We use Willow at Wix, mostly together with Claude Code. The biggest thing for me is how simple it makes access to all the MCPs we need. We have both internal Wix MCPs and external ones available through the same place, together with different skills.

The actual experience is very straightforward. I run one command in the terminal and Claude Code has access to the tools I need. There is no need to manually configure every MCP separately or keep track of different setups, which makes it much easier to actually use these tools as part of my day-to-day development work.

The integration side is probably where I get the most value. Having internal tools, external tools and skills all available from Claude Code means I can move between different tasks without thinking too much about how each tool is connected.

Performance has also been good in general. Once I am connected, the tools are available when I need them and I have not had issues with the actual MCP calls. The main reliability issue I run into is the session expiring every few hours, which means I have to log in again.

From an onboarding and usability perspective, there really was not much to learn. If you already work with Claude Code, getting started with Willow is basically one terminal command and you are good to go. That is important because tools like this are only useful if developers actually use them, and having almost no setup friction makes that much easier.

I do not have visibility into the pricing, so I cannot really judge the cost itself. From my side as a developer, the value is mostly in the time and setup it saves. Instead of configuring and maintaining access to each MCP and skill separately, I run one command and everything I need is available in Claude Code. As we use more tools, that becomes pretty valuable because I spend less time dealing with setup and more time actually using them.

I really appreciate that Willow offers pre-built integrations with tools I use like Jira, GitHub, Slack, Snowflake, and Salesforce, so I can just plug in credentials and get started without needing custom integrations. If I really have to pick something, it's the re-authentication flow. We need to re-auth quite often on some of the connectors, more than I would expect, and it breaks the flow a bit when it happens in the middle of something. It would be nice if it was smoother, like longer sessions or some seamless refresh in the background instead of us needing to go and re-login manually. Honestly, there’s very little to criticize here. The connector list has covered everything we’ve needed so far, the platform has been solid since day one, and support has been better than any vendor we’ve worked with, so I don’t really have a pain point to call out.

If I had to reach for something, the product moves quickly and there’s a steady stream of new capabilities. Every so often, I’ll notice a feature has shipped before I’ve had a chance to read up on it. Instead we found Jira, GitHub, Slack, Snowflake, and Salesforce already sitting there, we just dropped in credentials and were running within the hour. close second is how it handles permissions. everything else we evaluated was either a router with a security label on it, or a dashboard that tells you what's wrong without giving you any way to fix it. willow does least privilege at the tool generation level instead of cleaning up after the fact, and the audit trail feeds straight into our SIEM. our security team cleared it faster than they've cleared anything.

if i'm reaching, the only thing i'd say is that with this much surface area there's a bit of a learning curve on knowing what's already available versus what you'd have to build. we found a few connectors by accident that we'd have used earlier if we'd known they were there. not a product problem so much as a discovery thing.
