What I like the best is that when there is a fault on an inspection the driver has to take a picture of the fault and give a brief description. If you get caught in the middle of the inspection and your phone dies or something happens you have to start all over again. They are always open to suggestions on ways that they can change the program and make it better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Whip Around: If you are looking for a product and your company has a fleet of vehicles this is the program for you. With this program they can do vehicle inspections and checks and if you have maintenance workers on staff if there is something wrong with the vehicle it can be assigned to mechanic and the mechanic will see everything that was noted on the vehicle that needed to be fixed. Once the work is completed it can be marked complete and the work is done without having to be questioned again unless another problem occurs Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Making sure that the drivers are actually completing the inspections correctly and documenting anything wrong with there vehicle or equipment. I like that my field guys can report a defect with pictures anytime. I also like how I can track custom services. I do not use the inventory portion of the app. Also, I would say the work order reports are a little wonky. When I try to pull them monthly, there is a lot of unnecessary information on the sheet. The ease of checking all defects within our fleet. Also, the storage of the old files was cumbersome and not very efficient. Would like to see an easier way to identify which mechanic performed the repairs. After years of using other software, this is the best program on the market. Ease of use. Speed in real-time. I would recommend this to anyone that has trucks. The reporting is the best I have seen. After running the program for a while, I looked back at the possibility that maybe something could be better or easier to run. Capture the data you need and schedule your maintenance by mileage, hours or date or a combination of those. The program will track and notify you of upcoming services. For myself, not having to deal with hard copy DVIRs that often get ripped, smudged, or have illegible notes is a sure positive. I love that I can have our staff do their vehicle inspections, and it all comes back to one central location. I use whip around to keep track of all past maintenace, which saves us from having to refer back to file folders. There isn't anything specific that I dislike. The only thing I could point out is that I send the reminders to our staff to do the inspections and half of them ignore it. I have centralized all of our past vehicle records into the whip around system. This allows me to do a simple search in the system to find when brakes were replaced, or a tune-up was done. We use whiparound for our daily inspections for our drivers and helps us hold the drivers more accountable for their damages and reporting faults. This allows to track if a driver reports something like the brakes are faulty. We can pull the faults the next morning and confirm what the drivers are reporting.
