Vulki by Akeron Reviews & Product Details

Vulki is Akeron's sales performance and incentive compensation platform, built for companies that run complex variable pay across large, distributed teams. It governs the full incentive lifecycle — plan design, quota and territory planning, commissions, MBOs, disputes and payout and measures the alignment and growth those incentives actually drive. Akyba, its built-in and LLM-agnostic agent centre, puts specialised AI agents inside those processes. They answer performance questions, propose compensation plans, triage disputes and guide users through the platform. WHO IT IS FOR Vulki suits enterprise and upper mid-market companies where compensation is complicated: many roles, many plan types, many countries, many currencies, and plans that change often. Sales Operations & RevOps teams own it, Finance, HR and IT are all involved, and sales reps and managers use it every day. It fits companies that have outgrown spreadsheets, and companies stuck with a legacy tool that needs a consultant every time a plan changes. THE PROBLEM IT SOLVES Incentives are the strongest motivation lever most companies have, and most still get them wrong. Plans take weeks to set up, because design, data mapping and rule configuration are manual work done by overloaded comp admins. Data sits everywhere, but trusted data sits nowhere, so commissions get calculated on stale exports and territories get built on last quarter's CRM pull. When the foundation is weak, every number downstream is questionable. Payouts then get disputed, shadow accounting fills the gap left by missing transparency, and reps spend their time checking your maths instead of selling. Sales-only tools miss half the picture, because variable pay motivates finance, operations, HR and customer success too. THE FULL INCENTIVE LIFECYCLE - Plan and set the foundation. Split your market into territories by geography, customer segment or product line, and use revenue potential and other KPIs to check the split is balanced. Assign territories to reps and teams to maximise coverage, then set quotas that are ambitious but achievable, based on past performance, territory potential and market forecasts. When a rep leaves, reassign the territory in minutes. - Design and adapt incentive plans. Build plans on quantitative and qualitative KPIs, and adapt them yourself when the market moves. A calculation and simulation engine handles commissions, bonuses, contests, spiffs and accelerators of any complexity, and the calculation book shows comp admins how every number is produced. Run contests across indirect channels too, so partners, dealers and distributors pull in the same direction as your own team. - Extend variable pay beyond sales. Non-sales programmes start with KPI measurement that blends quantitative and qualitative factors. HR defines the templates, managers and payees customise scorecards together, and managers validate and approve. MBOs, bonuses and KPI-based incentives then sit in the same system of record as commissions. - Engage the wider ecosystem. Points, badges, levels, challenges and reward catalogues motivate direct and indirect teams alike. Define user profiles, onboarding journeys and contests to shape behaviour across your whole network, including people who do not work for you. -Measure what the money bought. No-code reporting shows sales performance, quota attainment and incentive ROI, so you can see whether a programme changed behaviour or only cost money. AKYBA: SPECIALISED AGENTS, NOT A CHATBOT - Akyba is Akeron's agent centre, fully integrated in Vulki. It is not a chatbot bolted onto a dashboard, but a set of domain-specific agents that work on certified data, inside your rules, with a human in control at every step. - The Compensation Admin Assistant generates plan proposals in seconds from your inputs. You review and decide, and it handles the setup directly in the platform. The Dispute Manager triages commission disputes and routes each query to the right person or agent, so fewer cases escalate and resolution comes faster. The Analyst answers performance questions straight from Vulki data, so you can see where to intervene while it still matters. The Coach gives step-by-step guidance inside the platform, so every user can work with confidence without raising a support ticket. - Bring your own model. Akyba is LLM-agnostic, so use the enterprise AI subscription you already pay for — GPT, Claude, Gemini or another model. No proprietary model tax, no vendor lock-in, no data sitting in a black box. -Build your own agents without engineering. Every agent is made of the same parts: a prompt, a knowledge base and a set of tools, so your team can duplicate and tailor agents to your business without writing code. -Three things make this work underneath. A semantic layer gives agents a governed understanding of your data. An MCP server lets agents act on real processes rather than only read from APIs. Certified agent instructions keep behaviour inside defined guardrails, whichever model you choose. WHAT SETS VULKI APART A system of record you can defend. A system of record holds the rules, calculates the numbers and enforces compliance. When it fails, trust breaks: miscalculated commissions, overlapping territories, rising disputes. Vulki is built for precision, governance and auditability first, and everything else follows. Plans you change yourself. Tailor incentives to individual roles and behaviours, and keep plans adaptable when conditions shift. Vulki supports complexity without becoming the complexity, and business users make changes without waiting for IT or professional services. Finance-grade logic, inherited. Akeron's founders built Tagetik, an enterprise performance management platform, and Vulki carries that heritage. Aggregation, allocation, forecasting, version control and audit trails are native rather than bolted on, so incentive spend becomes predictable and accruals take care of themselves. Results at the point of the deal. Reps simulate a deal before closing and see exactly what they will earn: commission, bonus impact, quota progress. Earnings update the moment a deal closes, and a dedicated app shows every payee where they stand, including the logic behind their plan — tiers, accelerators and KPI weights. Behaviour changes in the moment, not in a dashboard three weeks later. Integration that business users own. Vulki DataFlow is the integration, preparation and transformation layer, with business logic embedded directly in the flow. Pre-packaged connectors to ERP, CRM, HCM and payroll get you live fast, and API-based, file-based and middleware-ready options cover the rest. Every dataset and every transformation stays visible, auditable and editable by business users, not only by engineers. One platform for everyone who drives revenue. Sales and beyond, on the same rules and the same data. Deployment on your terms. Cloud or on-premises, multi-language and multi-currency, built for local rules and a global operating model. Certified to ISO 27001, 27017, 27018 and 27035. Total cost that survives scrutiny. Vulki can cost up to half what first-generation tools do, largely because configuration changes need no external consultants. BUILT FOR EVERY ROLE Chief Revenue Officers get real-time visibility into territory coverage, quota attainment and incentive ROI. Finance gets accruals, cost projections and audit trails that make incentive spend defensible. HR gets MBO frameworks and KPI scorecards for non-sales roles, so every team aligns to company goals rather than only the ones carrying a quota. IT gets cloud or on-premises deployment, no-code ETL, and governance over its own model and data. Comp admins and Sales Ops describe a plan, review the proposal, approve and launch, which turns the job into strategic support instead of data entry. Reps get real-time earnings, pre-deal simulation and full plan transparency with an app. INDUSTRIES Consumer Goods, Advertising and Marketing, Insurance, Power and Utility, Retail Banking, Telco, Travel and Hospitality, Fashion and Luxury Retail, Sport Clubs Manufacturing and Pharma.
