**What do you like best about vNode?**

What I like most about vNode is that it combines flexibility with simplicity. It supports a wide range of industrial protocols and makes it very easy to integrate data from different devices and systems. I particularly value its reliability and how quickly an integration can be up and running. The technical support is also excellent and always available when needed. In my experience, it is a very solid IIoT gateway that solves many integration challenges without adding unnecessary complexity, while delivering an almost immediate ROI.

**What do you dislike about vNode?**

So far, I haven't found any significant issues or drawbacks with vNode.

**What problems is vNode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

vNode solves several key challenges around IT/OT connectivity and industrial data integration. It provides a secure way to connect OT environments with IT systems, making it possible to implement proper DMZ architectures and isolate industrial networks while still allowing the required data flows. At the OT level, it also makes it much easier to integrate different systems and devices using different industrial protocols, without creating point-to-point connections everywhere. In addition, using vNode as a plant or process historian provides a centralized and reliable way to collect and store industrial data. Overall, this simplifies the architecture, improves cybersecurity, reduces integration effort, and makes industrial data much more accessible across the organization.

**What do you like best about vNode?**

I've been doing data connectivity and systems integration in industrial automation for a little over 21 years, so I've been through more OPC servers, gateways, and "universal" connectors than I care to remember. Most of them demo beautifully and then fall apart the first time you point them at a real plant floor with mixed hardware and a network nobody documented. That's the lens I'm reviewing vNode through.

What sold me was how little effort there was getting it stood up. I had it installed and pulling tags off equipment the same afternoon, which is not something I say often. The driver coverage handled the PLCs I threw at it without me having to go hunting for some obscure add-on, and mapping tags between protocols was straightforward enough that I wasn't constantly flipping back to the manual. For anyone who's spent a weekend babysitting a connectivity install, that alone is worth a lot.

Reliability has held up, which is the part that actually matters once the initial implementation is over. I've had connections running for stretches without it dropping tags or needing a restart, and it's behaved itself under the kind of load a production line puts on it.

The part I didn't expect was the people behind it. When I did hit a question, I got a real answer from someone who understood the product, not a canned reply or a week-long ticket queue. That responsiveness makes a genuine difference when you're on-site with a customer watching over your shoulder and a deadline in front of you.

I have just started using the AI/MCP adapter and I am excited to start exploring how AI can further add value to my projects.

Bottom line on value: it's saved me real hours on commissioning and cut down the back-and-forth I usually burn on troubleshooting connectivity, which translates pretty directly into money on a project.

**What do you dislike about vNode?**

Like with any data connectivity software, vNode does not replace actual knowledge of the protocols that are connecting different systems together. That being said, their support department has been outstanding in bridging any lapses that I or my team has had to be able to approach many different environments.

**What problems is vNode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

vNode ticks all of the boxes that modern data connectivity projects have so I am able to approach clients and data connectivity problems with confidence that I have the right tools.

  ### 3. A Reliable Multi-Protocol IIoT Gateway Backed by Strong Support

**What do you like best about vNode?**

What I value most about vNode is its genuine multi-protocol versatility: within a single gateway I can integrate Modbus, OPC UA/DA, DNP3, IEC 60870-5-104, MQTT, and DLMS without relying on multiple middleware layers. The Scripting module and Derived Tags have let me solve complex use cases (state machines, point-by-point historization, data backfill) that would normally require external development. On top of that, the technical support and speed in resolving architecture questions make a real difference compared to other IIoT platforms on the market.

**What do you dislike about vNode?**

Honestly, there isn't much to dislike — if I had to point to something, it would be that protocol coverage keeps expanding, so there are still a few less common protocols (like IEC 61850 or CANopen) not yet natively supported. That said, the roadmap moves fast and the team is clearly listening to real-world feedback from integrators and end customers.

**What problems is vNode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

vNode solves the challenge of connecting heterogeneous industrial equipment (Modbus, OPC DA/UA, DNP3, IEC 60870-5-104, MQTT, DLMS) without needing separate middleware for each protocol. This has let us cut integration time and cost significantly on multi-vendor projects, and reduce the number of moving parts our clients need to maintain and support long-term.

  ### 4. vNode: All-in-One OT/IT Integration in One Place

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about vNode?**

vNode is an all in one platform, for OT and IT integration. This means I don't have to look for other application to complete the integration, I can do it all in one place.

**What do you dislike about vNode?**

Depending on the project, if it is too small, it might not be cost effective sometimes, the larger the project is, the better the cost.

**What problems is vNode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

vNode integrates my OT data with IT and IOT, with zero coding or no coding. It also include security features required by IT. So it solves the OT/IT integration in a secure way.

  ### 5. Flexible Integration with Strong Security and Cost Efficiency

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about vNode?**

I appreciate vNode for its security and flexibility. It offers a great cost-benefit for managing small projects and has the capability to scale to multiplant projects. The initial setup was much easier but still maintained flexibility with more than 50 features extended with a scripting module. I've also found it helpful in delivering data to customers regardless of the protocol or format in both OT and IT.

**What do you dislike about vNode?**

I find the flow and visual diagram resources lacking. It could use features that some concurrent platforms offer.

**What problems is vNode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use vNode for data integrations between devices, systems, and APIs across OT and IT. It helps deliver data in any protocol or format that customers want, enhancing connectivity.

  ### 6. Virtual IIoT Gateway Application That Seamlessly Bridges OT and IT.

**What do you like best about vNode?**

Its modular and nodal architecture is designed to act as a connectivity bridge (IIoT Gateway). Its core function is to natively unite the world of operational technology (OT) with that of information technology (IT)

**What do you dislike about vNode?**

Price PER MODULE. I suggest Vnode offer packages for the purchase of two or three modules or more.

**What problems is vNode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data Loss Due to Unstable Networks

  ### 7. Simplifying Industrial Data Integration

**What do you like best about vNode?**

There are multiple modules available depending on your needs. They are all easy to implement and useful for industrial applications.

**What do you dislike about vNode?**

After two years of using it, I haven't found anything I dislike about it.

**What problems is vNode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solved the challenge of transmitting data from our customers' device networks to our production system.

  ### 8. Scalable, simple and multiplatform, with great performance and up-to-date support

**What do you like best about vNode?**

Scalability, simplicity, performance, multi-platform compatibility, its native protocol for replicating information between nodes, universality in its modules (nodejs, S7, OPC/UA, Modbus/TCP...), its interface is lightweight, up-to-date support and competitive price.

**What do you dislike about vNode?**

I miss having a section for custom and exportable graphics via link.

**What problems is vNode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves all industrial connectivity problems. It can transform raw data into qualitative data.

The benefit is having an ecosystem of industrial and functional data synchronized in real time.

Another benefit is troubleshooting thanks to its historical data collection capabilities.
