
Virtru seems to be well-known and trusted as a secure sharing solution in my field (medical billing). From time to time, I receive e-mails secured by Virtru from clients and other colleagues, so I trust it when I need to share something securely. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Long story short: the two times I needed Virtru, I was not able to use it and asked a colleague to do it for me as if I was incompetent.
Virtru usability is confusing to me and not at all new user friendly. When I go to Virtru, I want to share something. But as soon as I log in, I'm facing "My Data", "Settings", "User", "Admin" screens, none of them help me do what I need to: share things. I have to remember to go to the bottom of the screen looking for "Products > Share", even after the LOG OUT feature (whaat?). Once I hit the "Secure Share", I'm asked AGAIN to sign in.
After making my way to secure share, it's time to share. My first experience: Could not share. Why? As a new user, sending sensitive data, I wanted to make sure how my e-mail would be received by the user, and if I was doing it the right way. So I sent it to myself to check, and everything was working. Then I created the same thing again, this time adding all recipients, but I could not share it because I hit my limit for the day (one email). Result: I asked a colleague to do it for me, as I was incapable of doing it. Virtru did a terrible job informing me beforehand of this, and even worse when trying to submit, because it says: YOUR CONTENT WAS SUCCESSFULLY SENT, even when not delivering the messages.
The other case I have is: Knowing I have just one e-mail to use, I just wrote it and add the 4 subjects right away. When trying to send, Virtru said: limit of subjects above limit. Then I tried again with 3, with 2 and could not send. When I reached 1, Virtru said: you have reached the limit of messages today. WHAT? SERIOUSLY? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
