Vela for Schools Reviews & Product Details

Vela for Schools is a counselor and district portal that gives your team real-time visibility into every student's college and career planning, with no extra data entry for students or staff. Counselors get a live, read-only view of each student's application status, college list, FAFSA progress, and upcoming deadlines, plus a triage view that surfaces the students who need attention first. Aggregate analytics show FAFSA completion and recommendation-letter progress across a school, with per-student risk flags and a no-safety-school signal. For each student, the portal surfaces talking points drawn from their real activities and academic record to support more specific recommendation letters. Vela pairs the counselor tools with a full student experience: college search, application tracking, SAT prep, scholarship matching with verified deadlines, financial aid and true-cost tools, and a career discovery engine built on real occupational data. Student data is never sold or shared with third parties, counselor access is relationship-based and read-only, and a data processing agreement is available for districts.d
