There is a lot of capacity and your university needs to buy all the parts, but if you look at the screen you can pretty much figure it out. **What do you dislike about Ellucian Student?** The interface could be a little more polished and it would be great if it had an area where your last viewed areas were able to be clicked on. **Recommendations to others considering Ellucian Student:** If you want a once stop shop for all the things at your university, Banner is the way to go. All users will appreciate its intuitiveness. Since everything is in one place, it is nice to know you only need to go to one portal in order to get your jobs done. I think you need to remember, though, that there are many pieces to Banner and if you want it to work with all your other systems you need to be willing to invest and have on site support to make it happen as best as possible. **What problems is Ellucian Student solving and how is that benefiting you?** The ease of use for all area of the university all in one place is great. ### 2. I can access information that would normally require contacting another office. **What do you dislike about Ellucian Student?** Banner is difficult to use for most people that are not familiar with a query database. It's controls are not intuitive and sometimes you have to search at length if you don't know where you need to be looking or what the specific code is. **What problems is Ellucian Student solving and how is that benefiting you?** Banner unifies communication and data from multiple departments. It is the most effective tool to integrate with other systems such as the LMS. Everyone is familiar with it and knows how to modify it based upon the needs of a specific software. ### 3. Being a CRM, it should be an easy-to-understand process with simple input that correlates with data being inputed, rather than confusing codes that do not align with information. **Recommendations to others considering Ellucian Student:** Be sure to ask how information is inputted and how quickly banner is understood. **What problems is Ellucian Student solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are solving the issue of having our data held in a CRM. There are no benefits at this time. ### 4. Able to tailor it to our needs. **What do you dislike about Ellucian Student?** Some field names are bulky. Some additional software is challenging to link. **What problems is Ellucian Student solving and how is that benefiting you?** Able to increase efficiency - when student records are updated in one office, that change is made real-time across campus. ### 6. It can be modified to do a great many things. **What do you dislike about Ellucian Student?** You can't resize the window, the text size cannot be enlarged, it's difficult to find different 'jobs'. Isn't entirely user friendly. It's hard to experiment with; you have to remember a number of different variables and codes. It takes a lot of getting used to. **Recommendations to others considering Ellucian Student:** It is very useful once you get the hang of it. Absolutely requires documentation on how to perform various tasks. Memorizing the procedures etc. **What problems is Ellucian Student solving and how is that benefiting you?** It can integrate well in generating lists for Excel. It can keep track of data to be used in a multiplicity of ways. ### 11.
