# What's the best AI sales assistant for SDR teams running high-volume outbound?

I've been researching what's the best AI sales assistant for SDR teams running high-volume outbound for a team that's scaling outbound, and the category is muddier than it looks, because "AI sales assistant" covers everything from an email drafter to a full prospecting platform. For an SDR team doing volume, the useful split is tools that find and prioritize accounts versus tools that run the sequences. Here's the picture from the AI Sales Assistant category on G2.

Salesloft. Sequence and cadence execution with AI scoring on which accounts to work next, built for teams measuring activity per rep. Best for structured SDR motions.

GTM Workspace - Powered by ZoomInfo. Contact data, intent signals, and outbound workflow in one place, so list building and sequencing aren't separate jobs. Best for teams whose bottleneck is data quality.

Close. CRM with calling, emailing, and AI call summaries as the core interface rather than bolt-ons. Best for small teams who want one tool instead of a stack.

Aircall. Cloud phone system with AI transcription and call summaries that write back to the CRM, which matters when volume is phone-led. Best for outbound calling teams.

Cirrus Insight. Keeps activity logging and scheduling inside the inbox so reps aren't switching to the CRM to record work. Best for Salesforce teams with an inbox-first workflow.

6sense Revenue Marketing. Intent and predictive scoring to tell SDRs which accounts are already researching, rather than working a flat list. Best for account-based outbound.

The thing nobody mentions in these evaluations is that at high volume, deliverability and data hygiene decide the results more than the AI does. A smarter assistant sending from a burned domain still lands in spam.

For anyone running SDR teams at volume, did an AI assistant actually raise reply rates, or did it mostly just raise the number of emails sent?

The deliverability point is the real story here. We doubled our outbound volume with a new tool and reply rates barely moved until we actually fixed our sending domains and list quality. I think the AI just executes faster, it doesn't fix a shaky foundation underneath it.
