Overall, Veeam Data Cloud for Azure has been working well for our Azure backup needs. The interface is fairly simple once you spend some time with it, and integration with Azure services has been smooth. Backup and restore jobs have been reliable so far. Setup took a bit of effort initially because of permissions and policies, but after that it’s been stable. It doesn’t really have advanced AI features, but the automation part definitely helps reduce manual work.

**What do you dislike about Veeam Data Cloud for Azure?**

One thing I didn’t like initially about Veeam Data Cloud for Azure was the setup process, especially configuring permissions and policies in Azure. Troubleshooting some backup issues can also take time since the error details are not always very clear. Pricing can increase depending on storage and retention requirements.

I like this Microsoft tool because it is instinctual and permits you to configure and manage the different types of backup processes in a very comfortable and simple way without any issues, even for clients or users without knowing of advanced technical skills or experience. It also delivers extensive protection for all applications and big data in Microsoft Azure. Achieving fast and regular backups, Along with competently recovering data in the case of any event, is mainly design to integrate flawlessly with the Microsoft Azure platform. It provides robust and reliable solutions to safeguard all kinds of user's data in the cloud platform.

**What do you dislike about Veeam Data Cloud for Azure?**

The cost-cutting is against Veeam, As we know it provides extensive and powerful data protection solutions, so its license would be expensive for small enterprises,  any businesses, or different projects with solid budget. The learning capability of this platform has a different curve, so those users deprived of any prior previous experiences might require some knowledge to enhance familiarity with all kinds of functionalities and the features that it offers from the Microsoft.

One of the best features that this program presents is by far its intuitive interface; since it is very calm and easy to move gracefully in each of the functions of this program, it seems organic to me how I can secure each of my data and how the program is implemented, Veeam Backup has been a card up my sleeve to strengthen my work, this program is essential to have support in each of the projects that have lived in my work area, that is why I I love this program because automatically this program will create a copy of all the most critical information and files that I implement in this program, this is a huge advantage when it comes to managing my work since I am confident that I have a place on the web where I have the availability to enter my results.

The only setback that we have had with this program, and that must be taken into account, is the price; from what we have seen, it is the program with the highest value among its main competencies; this makes it a somewhat tricky program to acquire since the fee to be paid on each bill increases rapidly. In my case, this program has become a necessity, but the economic investment is indeed something that stands out. I do not recommend it for small companies since it is unreliable with that price.

What I like about this incredible program is the domain that it offers me to manage each of my most relevant data in my work area; that is to say, thanks to the help of Veeam Backup, I have been able to control my workload in a better way, this program is one of the main protagonists for managing all the files that are created or shared in my corporate department, and that is why we use it because it is an immediate solution for the security of each of these documents, there are many years that I have been working hand in hand with this program, and I have been able to notice the growth and improvement in the workflow, Veeam Backup can locate my data in the cloud and in a trusted space avoiding any contamination for our benefit, it is always an advantage to have this program since it is a backup for the management and development of the information of my work.

I use it as a backup for Microsoft Azure virtual machines, but since the backup is done per job, I can split the target into smaller parts. You can access the target folders and files in Explorer format, so the usability is excellent. When restoring from a backup, restoring to file drives and restoring the ESX host can also be converted to a different environment. Changing the environment and restoring the data when it flew during verification made it possible to verify without worrying about resources. The actual configuration of the backup user interface is also easy to understand, and restoring is easy.

As the name suggests, it is a backup product, but I think it is the strongest competitor in this category, it is famous for Windows and has a high share. So far, Veeam was mainly used for asset protection (failover countermeasures) in my development projects, but the best thing about this product is that it can backup up to 10 workloads (VMs Azure) for free. I don't think there are 100 or 1000 server devices unless it's a very large development team, so I feel there's no reason not to use this server feature if it's free for up to 10. Also, although the operability is quite different, there is no particular specification on how to operate the backup job, and I think anyone can operate it easily.

I backup to Microsoft Azure, but the backup time is overwhelmingly short compared to other backup software. In particular, there is no concept of full or differential backup. Doing a differential backup every time becomes equivalent to a full backup, so it is possible to do a stable backup. It is beneficial because it also reduces the time it takes to restore. Also, as a feature not found in other software, starting directly from a backup image is possible. Although there are some caveats, it is very effective as a BCP measure. Since there are no issues with daily backups, it reduces operational costs.  With other software, there were cases where a backup was not performed for various reasons, but Veeam has none. It works very stably. Smooth operation contributes to reducing person-hours for the person in charge of operations.

As for the notification feature, I think it is convenient because it provides more detailed status notifications than other companies' products.  Previously, there were two types, CPU socket unit and instance unit, but now it is instance unit only. Backing up multiple environments, such as physical, virtual or cloud, is possible with one license for each instance. I was able to protect all virtual machines in my virtual environment easily. The speed of backup and restore depends on the hardware performance of the backup destination, so overall, I am satisfied.

Initial documentation may be difficult , marketing should be improved from them. Work wise they are excellent and it would be helpfull if they can reduce bit on pricing other than community edition

We were using azure backup but we wanted to make sure some other services to take backup of secured data later we came to know about veeam we were impressed with veeam with easily and with few clicks we were able to maintain backup for disaster recovery
