**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I really appreciate Vanta's numerous integrations, which we utilize and find to be generally quite deep. They help us maintain transparency in how things are set up and ensure everything stays compliant over time. I'm glad we chose Vanta over Drata because of its clean interface. The whole policy engine and onboarding experience are very clean, making the organizational experience quite positive. Setting up Vanta is literally so easy, contributing to the positive experience.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

Sometimes when Vanta's rolling out new AWS or GCP policy controls, it can be a bit difficult to keep a clean slate internally. Even with our small portfolio, when they're rolling out a new task that might or might not be relevant, it's not a smooth exercise because usually you have to plan engineering changes to accommodate them.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Vanta for implementing compliance controls internally and ensuring we remain compliant over time. It helps us remain transparent with how things are set up through integrations and ensures compliance stability.

I like the simplicity and intuitiveness of Vanta. It makes the complex process of compliance much easier to manage. Having everything simplified in a viable and compliant way is super valuable. The initial setup seems pretty easy as well.

Well, I would have to use the platform a bit more since we're in the middle of the audit. But, I mean, evidently, these types of things take time to do.

The UI is sleek. It has a high level of integration with different 3rd party products. Access is pretty good and not delayed. We appreciate the visible ROI on the product. Support, be it automated via chat or via in person chat or email is smooth. The AI model is continually developing too.

I would say the occasional bugs but these get ironed out quickly.

I like Vanta's easy UI and the progress bar, which make it straightforward to see how far along we are and who owns what. I also find the descriptions of all necessary docs and controls really helpful. It helps keep everything up to date and ready for audits, and lets us know when renewals are due.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

Sometimes it's hard to know exactly where missing items sit, like policies. I'd like everything to be available in one tab with all expiration dates and status.

I use Vanta for HIPAA and SOC2 compliance, ensuring everything is up-to-date and audit-ready. It makes tracking ownership and progress easy and helps us know when renewals are due.

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

The way it connects directly with our cloud environment and the tools we use every day. This level of integration makes it easy to keep everything in sync without a lot of manual effort. I also find the alerting system extremely valuable because it lets me know right away when something isn't working as expected or when we are drifting away from compliance requirements. Having visibility give me peace of mind, although I don't get all the information as clearly as I would like, but I deal with it, and it also helps my team address issues before they become bigger problems

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

While the alert system is valuable, the way it presents information can sometimes be overwhelming or unclear. Certain alerts lack enough context and appear in some cases as codes, which make it harder to immediately understand the source of the issue. This can turn into extra time spent investigating and trying to allocate the affected resources. A more streamlined way of categorizing alerts and linking directly to the impacted systems would make the experience far more efficient

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vanta Helps me manage and maintain the controls required for the certifications my company holds, as well as for clients who also rely on Vanta. We work with frameworks like SOC 2, HITRUST, HIPPA, and the platform makes it much easier to stay organized and compliant. One of the biggest benefits is that Vanta centralizes all the controls, documentation, and related policies in on place, this allows us to track progress, maintain evidence, and ensure that everything is always audit-ready. It also streamlines communication with auditors, since they can go directly into the system to review the required documentation without back-and-forth requests, saving us significant time and effort.

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

What I like most is the clarity it gives me. I can immediately see what’s in place, what’s missing, and what actually needs my attention, without second-guessing or keeping things in my head. That makes a big difference in my day-to-day work on ISO 27001 and ISO 9001. Audits feel calmer, there’s no last-minute evidence chasing, and I can focus on the substance of compliance instead of the logistics around it.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

One thing I miss is having ready-made templates for internal audits. The data and evidence are there, but when it comes to structuring an internal audit, a lot still has to be built manually. Having simple, well-structured audit templates to start from would save time and make it easier to turn the available information into something immediately usable.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vanta solves the problem of visibility and coordination in compliance work. Rather than tracking controls and evidence across multiple tools, documents, and people, everything stays in one place and is easy to follow. For me, that reduces uncertainty and the mental overhead in day-to-day work. I don’t have to keep double-checking whether something is missing or whether it’s up to date.

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

Vanta’s automation fits our needs perfectly. It automatically collects evidence from all our systems, including AWS, Google Workspace, Okta, and GitHub, so we no longer have to spend time tracking down screenshots or logs. The continuous monitoring feature is especially useful, as it provides immediate alerts whenever something falls out of compliance. Being able to manage both SOC 2 and ISO requirements from a single dashboard has saved us a significant amount of time.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

Some of the vendor risk templates seem a bit outdated, which occasionally requires us to make customizations outside of the tool.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Vanta, we managed compliance manually, which was not an efficient use of our time. Now, most of the compliance checks are automated, significantly streamlining our processes. Our audit preparations, which used to take months, now only require a few weeks, and we experience fewer errors. Vanta helps us keep everything organized and provides us with greater control over our security.

Vanta had a very tech forward platform and their continuous monitoring made going with them a simple decision. As Assembly is now Soc2, Vanta is a key part in our security journey. Their team was also amazingly kind, prompt and helpful every step of the way!

Vanta is a no brainer. They are the best in the game. Why else would they be growing so fast!

We are an HR platform and every time we went out for new business, we'd be asked if we were Soc2 compliant. Not having compliance was a show stopper. Working with Vanta was fast, efficient and now we're winning business left and right thanks to Vanta.

I appreciate Vanta for making it incredibly easy to track personnel, policies, and put controls in place. It's convenient to have everything in one place, where I can quickly make updates and changes. The notifications about policies or controls needing attention keep me well-informed and proactive. I like the templates for policies and other items, as they considerably simplify the process of creating and editing drafts since most of the work is already done. These templates save me a significant amount of time because I don't need to conduct independent research.

I find the layout of Vanta a bit confusing and it took me some time to get accustomed to it. When I receive notifications about a control or test needing attention, I'm often uncertain how to address the issue. I believe Vanta should be more explicit in detailing the actions required to remediate a control or test and provide clear guidance on how to execute these actions.

All of our compliance-related tasks are centralized in one location. Whenever I have a question or need to handle a process, I can easily find it through the sidebar menu.

If you don't use it often, you might have trouble finding what you need. Changes in the product and features are communicated through email, but most of us don't read newsletters nowadays. An in-app update would be helpful.

Managing all compliance tasks in one centralized location is very convenient. Auditors and other stakeholders have their own access to the platform, which makes the audit process much smoother. The system also handles many processes automatically, including setting up reminders and renewal dates. Additionally, the risk assessment feature is excellent.

That everything can be done online and streamlined smoothly. The implementation is very easy, and the integration of work in the company is very seamless. The features are great yet not too complex. Users are likely to use Vanta more frequently. Customer support is quick and to the point.

Less involvement with the entire team to further deep dive into issues at the company

Problem giving startup company a way to meet compliance requirements that would be a huge problem if Vanta doesn't exist. Traditional audit and compliance program or firms that are doing the audit and compliance would cost a lot more and make things much cumbersome. What I appreciate most is that Vanta truly serves as our all-in-one platform for GRC and audit activities, so we have a single source of truth for compliance. I'm also consistently impressed by their rapid pace of development and innovation. They clearly listen to feedback and are always rolling out valuable new features. The AI implementation is a perfect example - its use in streamlining vendor reviews and answering security questionnaires is excellent and has become a significant time-saver for our team. Finally, the customer support has been fantastic whenever we reached out to them. They are responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely seem invested in our success.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

My primary concern is the limited ability to deeply customize the platform. It tends to be rather prescriptive, and not every compliance task can be automated. There remains a significant amount of manual effort, particularly when dealing with controls or systems that lack native integration. Additionally, the platform is quite costly, and expenses can escalate rapidly beyond the initial subscription fee.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The AI capabilities for handling vendor reviews and security questionnaires are extremely valuable, transforming what used to take days into just a few hours. I also appreciate the concept of ongoing compliance, as it supports audit readiness throughout the entire audit cycle and significantly lessens the workload when the audit actually takes place. Additionally, Vanta hosts our Trust Center.

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I love how Vanta provides such an immediate return on investment and impact, especially as someone who has implemented hundreds of different applications. It's exceptional in delivering quick and effective results. The dashboards in Vanta are incredibly valuable to me as they offer an immediate glimpse of progress towards compliance without overwhelming the user with details or dig through information to figure out where we stand. This feature simplifies my workflow significantly. Additionally, I find Vanta extremely efficient for achieving more with a lean security team, relieving an incredible amount of operational burden in preparing for our annual security audits. The onboarding process with Vanta has been the easiest I've probably ever experienced, which speaks volumes about its user-friendly design.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

I find Vanta's vendor risk management feature lacking in robust capabilities. I would love to see it become an all-encompassing tool for security, IT, and finance vendor reviews. Currently, it's limited, as it doesn't allow me to input crucial contract and renewal information. This limitation necessitates the use of additional tools, preventing Vanta from being a comprehensive solution.

I’ve noticed delays with syncing on some platforms. Also, there are too many sub-menus and settings to click through, which makes navigation feel unnecessarily complicated and leads to wasted time trying to find the right page or dashboard.

The feature of having a list of tests and controls is invaluable as it allows me to manage my tasks clearly and without the need to track them externally, like on a spreadsheet. I can make changes, and it automatically re-runs the tests, saving me significant time and effort. The initial setup was also quite easy, making my overall experience with the platform very positive.

I feel that Vanta could improve in how it informs me about tasks and provides reminders. The current ways it tells me what I need to work on and reminds me of tasks are perhaps not as effective as I would like. I would appreciate a feature that encourages me to engage with the platform more frequently instead of primarily at the end of an audit cycle, although I'm not sure what exactly this improvement would look like.

There’s a lack of proper integration for monitoring tests. For example, the current monitoring tests are all tied to infrastructure providers like AWS and GCP. However, even though there is a Datadog integration, there’s no way to satisfy these tests through Datadog.

The main problem Vanta solves for me is during audits. The Audits tab in Vanta is very helpful for submitting evidence to auditors, and it also lets them send requests there.

Vanta guided us through our SOC2 and ISO27001 certification and made the process easy. It also continuously monitors our compliance through integrations. We had our ISO audits completed within a month of signing up. There's no way we could have done it that quickly without Vanta. Also, customer support has been 10/10.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

It's expensive, but it does mean that audits cost much less because it cuts down the length of time for the audit process. So it's overall cheaper than doing it any other way.

Vanta automates tests for security compliance so we know if real time if there are issues.
Vanta also let's us know exactly what we need in order to pass security certifications.

That said, sometimes I feel that Vanta is not very intuitive, perhaps because I don’t use it regularly, only when a task is assigned to me. Since I haven’t explored it deeply yet, I find myself a bit lost when trying to access other functionalities, such as the policies section, which I believe also adds great value to the platform.

Vanta is helping me a lot with client security questionnaires, which used to be a time-consuming process in my former company. The AI provides suggested answers based on previously completed questionnaires, making the process much faster and more efficient. At the time of writing this post, it isn’t feasible to assign roles with different views on the platform. As a result, users are forced to see all the tabs. However, I believe this is already on the roadmap.
