**What do you like best about Vanta?**

Honestly the main thing is the integrations. We connected AWS, Bitbucket, Google Workspace, Jira, Confluence, and Slack and it just started collecting evidence automatically. Access reviews, inventory from AWS, policy docs from Confluence - stuff that would've taken us a while to figure out how to document on our own. We got Vanta because we needed SOC 2 and didn't really know where to start, and the onboarding walked us through what controls we actually needed to have in place, which helped a lot early on. The dashboard is clean and easy to scan - I check it most weeks to see if anything's drifted and I don't have to dig around to find what I need. Year and a half in and it does what we need it to.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

The Slack notifications are too noisy. We had to tune them down pretty quickly because the channel was getting flooded with stuff that didn't need immediate attention, and at that point people just start ignoring everything. Could use better filtering or some way to set severity thresholds for what actually gets sent. The AI features also feel pretty early. I've poked at them a few times and the output wasn't useful enough to trust without rewriting most of it anyway, so I just stopped using them. Not a dealbreaker since we didn't buy Vanta for AI, but if they're going to put it in the product it should do more than generate vague first drafts.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed SOC 2 and didn't have it. We had ISO 27001 already so the security foundations were there, but SOC 2 kept coming up in sales conversations and due diligence questionnaires and eventually we couldn't keep putting it off. We're a small team, maybe 4-5 people touching compliance stuff, and while we understood the security side we hadn't been through the SOC 2 process specifically. Vanta helped us map what we already had from ISO to SOC 2 controls so we weren't redoing work, and filled in the gaps we were missing. Took us about 4 months to get audit-ready which felt reasonable. The ongoing monitoring is probably where we get the most value now - evidence collects itself, controls stay mapped, and we're not spending time on it unless something actually needs attention. For a team our size it would've been hard to justify a full-time compliance hire, and Vanta costs a lot less than that.

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

Vanta’s automated integrations and centralized dashboard can be useful for monitoring technical controls once everything is properly configured. The platform does provide a single place to view compliance frameworks, automated tests, policies, and evidence. However, in our experience, these benefits were outweighed by the confusing implementation process and lack of hands-on support.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

The platform is confusing, requires far more manual interpretation and evidence creation than the sales process led us to expect, and lacks the hands-on support an early-stage company needs. After the sale, our salesperson stopped responding while we were simply trying to identify our account manager. The Workstreet assistance was time-limited, involved communication delays, and did not provide the live, hands-on guidance we had received from our previous compliance provider.

When we decided Vanta was not a workable fit, we proposed that Vanta keep everything we had already paid and cancel only the unpaid remainder because we had no intention of using the platform. We later offered an additional monthly payment as an early-termination fee. Vanta refused both proposals, citing its policy against mid-contract cancellations and revenue-recognition practices. Instead, it insisted on enforcing approximately $13,500 in remaining payments from a small startup for a platform we will not use.

The combination of poor post-sale support, a difficult implementation process, and complete contractual inflexibility made this one of our worst vendor experiences.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At this point, none. We decided Vanta is not the right fit for our company and will not be using the platform for SOC 2, HIPAA, or HITRUST. The compliance work and support model did not deliver enough value for the cost or implementation effort required.

The automated evidence collection saves a lot of time, and features like continuous monitoring, risk tracking, and policy management give us a better overview of everything. The pricing is still the main concern, especially for smaller teams. Some of the advanced configurations can also take a little time to get right, but after the initial setup, it has been working well for us.

Vanta has made our compliance process much more manageable. The automated evidence collection saves us from doing repetitive tasks manually, while continuous monitoring and risk tracking help us stay updated. The dashboard is simple to navigate. The platform performs reliably and onboarding was also very quick. Their customer support has been also helpful whenever we had questions. Like we have been doing the process of evidence collection manually, after purchasing Vanta its AI features automatically do it for us like we don't have to take thousands of screenshots manually and keep them in a separate folder.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

The cost can be a concern for smaller teams. Some integrations and advanced configurations also need a little extra effort during setup, but once everything is configured, the platform works very smoothly.

Vanta helps us handle compliance and security work without having to manage everything manually. The automated evidence collection is probably the best feature or I should say most useful feature, along with continuous monitoring and risk tracking. The platform is responsive, the dashboard is easy to use, and the onboarding process was quite smooth. Customer support has been quick to respond whenever we needed help.

The pricing could be better, especially for smaller organizations. Some advanced settings and integrations also require a bit of configuration before they work the way we want, but overall the experience has been positive.

I like the automated evidence collection , continous monitoring and the thing which I like the most is risks tracking because they reduce a lot of manual work . the platform is quick and responsive , onboarding was really smooth and customer support has been helpful when we needed assistance.

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

The main thing I like about Vanta is how much time it saves during SOC 2 audit preparation. The UI/UX is clean, making onboarding and navigation simple. Setting up the integrations with AWS, Github, and Slack was smooth , and the system performance is fast with zero lag. The support was very responsive during initial setup.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

The initial setup for non standard integrations takes more time than expected and requires manual workarounds. Also, during the first couple of weeks, the email alerts for failing controls were way too frequent until we tuned the monitoring rules.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Vanta, preparing for compliance audits required manually taking screenshots and organising logs across teams. It solves this by continuously our security posture. The ROI is high because it saves our team around 15 hours of manual work every month, and their support team helped us smoothly during onboarding. Their AI features helps automate document review and evidence collection.

I have been using this tool for so long now and we have mainly used it to automate our processes, the thing which i like most about Vanta is automated evidence collection feature and data governance compliance because it has helped us in saving our time like I need not to manually take thousands of screenshots and save them to separate folder and also its super fast onboarding features reduces our mannual efforts. its user interface is really very clean and it makes it very easy to use.

I personally feel that its pricing needs to be improved, because even its base plan costs a lot , so far smaller teams it can feel extremely expensive other than that everything is fine.

The feature that I like most about Vanta is the automated evidence collection. it saves us a lot of time by collecting compliance evidence automatically instead of making the team gather screenshots and documents manually . the setup is also quick and the interface is really clean and easy to understand .

the main downside for me is the pricing . the starting plans can be quite expensive , especially for smaller companies or startups with limited budgets . apart from that , I have not faced any major issues .

The cost is probably the biggest downside , particularly for smaller teams . a few advanced features can also take some time to set up and understand , but we have not had any major performance issues.

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

Using Vanta to screen the random property management and escrow portals our brokers find has been a total lifesaver. I can instantly see their actual security posture on the dashboard instead of begging some external sales guy to email me a valid SOC 2 PDF.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

A lot of the local legal and surveying firms we partner with have absolutely no idea what a formal security framework even is. I end up manually marking their Vanta profiles as accepted risks just to stop the dashboard from sending them angry automated compliance emails every week.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

High-net-worth property investors get really paranoid about wire fraud and data leaks when they buy commercial real estate. Handing them a Vanta export proves we actively police our software supply chain, which gets them comfortable enough to actually sign the funding agreements.

Vanta gives us a single place to monitor the security certificates for all the external carbon-tracking and ESG data platforms we rely on. I can instantly verify if a new environmental analytics tool actually protects sensitive metrics before we connect it to our main database.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

A lot of the newer sustainability startups we partner with get completely overwhelmed by Vanta's automated security questionnaires and end up ignoring them. My team constantly has to jump on video calls just to hold their hands through uploading a basic data privacy policy to clear the alerts.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Major corporate clients demand absolute proof that their internal emissions data won't get exposed by our third-party software stack. Handing their auditors a live Vanta vendor dashboard immediately kills their security concerns and gets our consulting agreements signed without delay.

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

The system is very easy to use, and it’s extremely helpful to be able to see at a glance which items need to be addressed. The integration process was quick and straightforward, without requiring a heavy lift from our engineering group. The update emails that call out what needs to be reviewed and resolved are useful as well, and they help us stay on top of everything in an efficient, organized way. Vanta's pricing was also very competitive compared to the other vendors we evaluated during our RFP process.

Several third-party vendors we use didn’t have an integration feature at first. We were able to update and connect those vendors; however, the integration still isn’t fully functional and doesn’t report on all the necessary aspects of the service being used. For example, the system doesn’t seem to recognize when web browser password managers are used. It would be great if these password manager options were visible within the system.

I love how well structured it is and how it’s tailored to the security standard you want to focus on. It clearly shows your organization’s current standing against each available security standard, so you can adjust your priorities and focus where it makes the most sense. I appreciate how Vanta has made a significant difference in the way we manage security, compliance, and governance by reducing the burden of fragmented and manual processes. It centralizes our data collection and automates scheduling, which uplifts our practices towards SOC 2 Type II. The way Vanta integrates with our ecosystem is incredibly valuable, supporting access reviews, surfacing known vulnerabilities for patching, and keeping evidence updated, doing a lot of the heavy lifting. I think the practicality of being able to integrate things simply is a great advantage. Vanta has several integrations with the systems we already use here at Zenvia, which makes it easier to connect my MDM tools, for example. Additionally, it already provides compliance evidence, such as encrypted hard drives and screen lock policies, and also checks if antivirus is installed. The more I integrate, the more I can automate the collection of compliance evidence for the next audit, which greatly optimizes the entire process. **What do you like best about Vanta?**

Honestly the feature of Vanta that I like the most is its Automated Evidence collection , like before people used to manually take the screenshots and then make a folder for it but it directly checks everything automatically by connecting to AWS , Google Workspace etc.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

I think it is a bit costly for small organisations because its basic plan starts from 10k dollars and the worst part about it is that when you renew it or add new frameworks then the bills increases gradually.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vanta is helping us as a tool which helps us solve the problems of security certifications and audit . Like now vanta automatically collects all the informations and it monitors 24/7 automatically . Now we do not need to manually take the screenshots and collect them and write the policies . Also its performance and support team is really good.

Honestly , the best thing about it is like I don't need to manually take thousands of screenshots and keep them in a folder , this tool automatically does it for me , it helps us in security and audits . its performance is really good. The user Interface is also good

the only thing I don't like about it is its high cost , like it is very costly for the teams which has lesser number of employees other than this everything is alright

It is helping our team in reducing the manual efforts like it automates things , it does automatic monitoring for us 24/7 , it sends us notifications or warning all day also we use it for automation puroposes like for security compliances we don't have to manually do everything . also it has 400 plus integrations available

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

We use Vanta mainly for SOC2 compliance and to make sure we have all items listed in a way that we can easily track them, understand what their current status is and also who is responsible for each item. Vanta gives us the visibility and easy handling of tasks.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

So far, I can’t say there’s anything I don’t like about Vanta. We’re a startup with fewer than 10 employees, and we really value easy access and a quick, clear summary of our status. Up to this point, Vanta has delivered on both of those needs.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a startup, we had (and still have) a bit of a mess when it comes to documentation, control, and access visibility for something as important as SOC2. Vanta is helping solve the issues I mentioned by keeping everything in one system and giving us the control and visibility we need.

The Feature of Vanta that helped our team the most is its automated evidence collection feature , it automates the human efforts because we don't have to take screenshots manually and keep it in a particular folder , Vanta itself does it for us . Its user interface is also good

The thing which I don't like about Vanta or I should say the downside about Vanta is its pricing like it can feel a bit costly to small teams or startups , everything else than pricing is good

Vanta has been helping our team for so long now like it has massive integrations available like whatever tool  you are using you can integrate it with this , also vanta provides super fast onboarding so it is helping us in many ways like it monitors data quality and send alerts
