What do you like best about UserTesting?

UserTesting helps my team move exceptionally fast when capturing feedback directly from real people, which helps our company make better decisions and save time and money. Additionally, every single employee - from the education team to customer success to executives - is incredibly smart, kind, and eager to help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about UserTesting?

The product is a bit outdated in its interface and capabilities but they are consistently implementing new features and actively working to release a product overhaul with new capabilities! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about UserTesting?

UserTesting has been a fantastic tool for gathering real user feedback. The platform is easy to use, with features like targeted demographics, video feedback, and various testing modes, which allow us to gain insights from the right audience. The reporting tools make it simple to analyze feedback quickly, making it a valuable asset for creating user-centered designs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about UserTesting?

Sometimes the participants that we reach through screeners are not a perfect match and have cheated the system a little bit, but userzoom and UserTesting are doing their best to make sure that this does not occur regularly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great for creating highlight reels, but lacks some crucial advanced functionality."
3.5/5
What do you like best about UserTesting?

The ease of creating clips and highlight reels. That's a game-changer for qualitative analysis and reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about UserTesting?

It's lacking some functionality that a professional researcher/ research team needs. For example, the ability to blacklist certain urls to prevent the recording of PII (vs relying on an imperfect blur filter set at the task level). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about UserTesting?

One fairly objective tool that designer can gather and collect user`s opioions Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about UserTesting?

There arnt the chinese panel if i want to test the china targeted users, there is no way .

To find the Commercial user panel is always a big challenge in Usertesting.com, and the commercial pannel is enough trust and we designer can persuade `project`s stakholders to trust the panel that we find in UT.com , especially the commericla users.

There arent place that we can directly type the email adresses that who can be in the test, when you test the Dell / company internal tool Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Immediate usability feedback, unnecessarily tricky UI"
4/5
What do you like best about UserTesting?

I love the immediate feedback from users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about UserTesting?

There are times where the UI is confusing or where I cannot do something simple, like cancel or reschedule a test because it has crossed a time threshold, or delete a test that malfunctioned. The process for signing onto moderated tests and understanding what I will be able to do whether I am sharing use of the screen or not is a little unclear. Prototypes can often not perform well, and I am not sure if this is due to glitches with figma or with the interface between user testing and figma. I think the format for making unmoderated tests is excellent. I do often however get confused when creating the test, leaving it, then going back in to edit it. It can feel strange to me to have the demographic section outside of the rest of the test building. I love the transcript and the AI interp of the transcript. "Great support, subpar product and built-in panel of testers"
3/5
What do you like best about UserTesting?

It is one of the more thorough options in the unmoderated testing space. If you pay as an add-on, they have a dedicated and accessible team for questions on structuring tests, upcoming roadmap updates, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about UserTesting?

Very confusing pricing structure that feels like smoke and mirrors at times. Low level of trust in their panel - a lot of "testers" that come across as falsfiying screener responses for incentives. The product itself is pretty limited in terms of test flexibility. Doesn't go in-depth in any particular research capability area. UserZoom acquisition doesn't seem to have fully happened and/or provides any additional benefit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Essential Tool for Effective User Experience Research"
4.5/5
What do you like best about UserTesting?

UserTesting.com is an invaluable platform for gathering qualitative insights directly from target users. The ease of creating and distributing tests is great, and the variety of test types will also cover the research needs of any team. The sentiment video feedback feature is particularly useful, allowing us to observe genuine user interactions and reactions, which significantly enriches our understanding of user behavior and preferences. The pool of available testers is also decent Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about UserTesting?

While UserTesting.com offers extensive capabilities, the cost can be prohibitive, especially for smaller teams or startups with limited budgets. Additionally, the volume of data collected can sometimes be overwhelming, and the platform could benefit from more advanced data analysis tools to help distill key insights more efficiently. Sometimes testers respond to screening questions not very honestly, just to join a test. This can be a waste of time both for them and for the reseachers. The way video reels are created could also be more powerful, it's not great currently. Despite these minor drawbacks, the platform remains an essential tool for any UX researcher's toolkit.
