It keeps books current continuously rather than closing them in a monthly batch, pairing AI agents that handle repeatable accounting work with professional accountants who review it. Most small businesses choose between manual bookkeeping, an outsourced service running on its own schedule, or the cost of an in-house hire. Uplinq is built for owners who need accurate, current financials without taking on that operational burden. HOW UPLINQ WORKS Uplinq connects to bank and card accounts, reads the files a business already produces, and works from QuickBooks-connected records. Eight AI agents handle categorization, reconciliation, close, document extraction, anomaly detection, cash flow, tax estimates and reporting. When confidence is high, an entry posts immediately with a full audit trail. When judgment is required, a professional accountant decides and stays accountable for the result. Every entry keeps its source evidence, confidence score and review history, so any number can be traced back to the document behind it. The platform allows me to manage multiple companies effortlessly and lets me switch between them easily. The financials are well organized, allowing me to track profits and losses, expenses, and revenue in real-time and compare them with prior years, which I find much easier than using QuickBooks. The feature of communicating with the team directly through the portal by typing notes or uploading files simplifies my workflow greatly. Another thing I appreciate is the reliable 24/7 access through my Google account that reduces the need for personal communication, making the entire process efficient. The classification of expenses is often pre-done, and if adjustments are necessary, I can quickly make them or leave notes for Uplinq to review. I also appreciate the accommodating and friendly staff, as well as the efficient solution for scheduling meetings and ensuring accuracy. My primary point of contact, Tillany, is simply outstanding! The transition from an accounting firm to Uplinq has also been economically beneficial since it operates with a fixed monthly payment rather than on a per-minute charge like others I’ve experienced. I was also pleased with the setup process, which was easy and helped along with guidance over the phone, making sure everything was set up correctly. **What do you dislike about Uplinq?** The only thing that could be improved with Uplinq is the response time from the tax team. My primary contact is George, and he's outstanding but understandably also in high demand. It would be great if they could cut down the response time, as sometimes I have to wait a few days before I get a response. This is especially important when I receive a notice from the tax authority and need it reviewed right away, ideally within half a day instead of a couple of days. Additionally, although I haven't used the tax strategy service much, it seems okay but I wonder how it compares with other services, and I don't believe they have a tax attorney on staff, which I might need to explore further. **What problems is Uplinq solving and how is that benefiting you?** Uplinq organizes my bookkeeping, helps me file taxes, and connect me with Engineered Services to get R&D credits. The intuitive dashboard updates my financials monthly, and the communication features streamline interactions with the team. ### 2. It's also great that they've embraced AI tools to make things more efficient. The AI categorizes my transactions between business and personal, creating patterns and figuring out transactions by referencing past ones. This makes it easier for my bookkeeper to create the records needed for taxes, especially now that my personal finances include my husband and have gotten more complicated, but they handle it very easily. **What do you dislike about Uplinq?** The reporting with Uplinq is challenging because working solely with Excel datasets is tough. I miss the kind of reports I was used to with QuickBooks. But more than that, the people are what set it apart. Being able to discuss and have discourse on accounting measures is very important. It’s also great to be able to collaborate when it comes to my specific clients. I appreciate that I can correspond with people rather than just some AI or software thing. The people at Uplinq help solve problems, especially when it comes to human connection during bookkeeping processes. **What do you dislike about Uplinq?** I think the correspondence with the client could be improved, and sometimes I feel caught in the middle in the relationships between CPA and myself as a liaison. It can seem like there's more of a battle over who knows what, rather than a collaborative effort.
