## UpCloud Reviews
  ### 1. Responsive and great support channels, fair CPU server pricing and good amount of features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristian O. | Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about UpCloud?**

Extremely responsive and great customer support, no need to wait to get responses to your questions and feedback is taken to team directly from the support chat.

Servers offer latest 5th Gen EPYC CPUs (9575F to be specific), which have very good performance for both multi-core and single-core needs.

Very generous "Fair Usage Limit" for outgoing network bandwidth outside the DC's. It's basically free egress unless you're doing something really heavy, in which case I believe a quick chat with the customer support will solve that as well.

For more direct server management/usage, it's been very easy to use, instructions on how to connect to the server using SSH are easily available and reflect the current network settings of given server.

The CPU server pricing is very fair given the above, and I have a 24/7 WebRTC SFU running on one lower-end server without any issues or downtime so far.

**What do you dislike about UpCloud?**

GPU pricing is bit heavier compared to other providers, also there's only single GPU model available at the moment and it's only NVIDIA (L40S). Would love to see other vendors for their SR-IOV support.

Lack of CaaS (Container as a Service) features, there's Kubernetes but that's quite heavy for my simpler needs.

Lack of Team/Project grouping or similar feature which allows multiple accounts to manage shared servers with possibly shared funds. The feature is in their roadmap, however I believe this is quite important for any larger projects and should've been added long ago.

Some of the server templates are very outdated, granted it's hard to keep a rolling distribution such as Arch up-to-date, but since it's an option - I'd expect it to be kept up-to-date with couple months of lag atleast, not over a year. Additionally, the custom image storage option is perhaps bit too pricey, since you can have storage device with same size bundled with a server plan for way cheaper.

**What problems is UpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We utilize UpCloud with low-latency cloud streaming for virtual desktops, gaming and other needs. Our solution requires recent and capable CPU models to handle multitude of workloads, with powerful enough GPU to handle anything from 3D modeling and rendering to gaming on the go. So far UpCloud is meeting those expectations very well, other providers tend to use older and/or weaker CPUs which always were a bottleneck for our needs.

  ### 2. Reliable Hosting with Top-Notch Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcus D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2026

**What do you like best about UpCloud?**

I appreciate UpCloud's European tone of voice, and how they are very quick to respond to inquiries without any nonsense. It's just generally easy to use. The initial setup was very easy, and I found the support to be good as well.

**What do you dislike about UpCloud?**

Reduce the amount of marketing-like emails I get perhaps, that's all.

**What problems is UpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UpCloud provides reliable European hosting, has a straightforward approach, and great support. It's very easy to use, making the setup smooth.

  ### 3. UpCloud is great choice for growing businesses

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gulshan K. | Server Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2025

**What do you like best about UpCloud?**

As a sysadmin with over a decade in managing cloud infrastructures, I’ve worked with multiple providers but UpCloud has stood out for the last 5 years as my most reliable choice. Their intuitive dashboard, free daily backups, and lightning-fast live chat support streamline my workflow and keep systems running flawlessly. Zero downtime in half a decade is rare in this industry, and that’s exactly what I’ve experienced. Recommended by a trusted peer, UpCloud continues to deliver the performance and stability that serious professionals demand.

**What do you dislike about UpCloud?**

If I could suggest one improvement, it would be to make disk resizing and password resets more seamless, as they currently involve a bit of manual work.

**What problems is UpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UpCloud enables me to manage WordPress sites for my clients with complete peace of mind, knowing data is secure, backups are automatic, and uptime is consistent. This reliability frees me to focus on delivering value to my clients instead of troubleshooting infrastructure issues.

  ### 4. Solid EU Cloud Provider

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jean-Paul d. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2025

**What do you like best about UpCloud?**

Great performance, modern and easy online interface. It is super easy to implement instances, and supports features such a reverse dns settings without customer contact. Further more the integration with infrastructure as code tooling is very good. I've not had a need to contact customer support as everything is smooth and easy, however they reached out me to see how we are doing and whether we required any assistance. That was a nice touch. Our services are running daily, with easy backups integrated. Furthermore have I already mentioned this is an EU provider, and owned wholly by an EU company. This is important for data sovereignty.

**What do you dislike about UpCloud?**

The only downside I've found at the moment is billing; I'm not keep on the top up system, it makes invoicing in a business context and processing the receipts cumbersome. But what is truly cumbersome is that there is no grouping of services, and thus applying different cost centers and processing them quickly is a pain. Not only that, the bills include the UUID and not the names or tags. I hope they resolve this quickly.

**What problems is UpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing our datacenter in a manner that enables data souvernity within the EU.

  ### 5. Simple reliable fast hosting.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David E. | IT Manager/Devops/Systems Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2025

**What do you like best about UpCloud?**

After 2 years.....
Easy to spin up multiple different VMs qucikly and then delete them when you're done.
Simple interface that is clear and works really well. You can logon to a VM after a few clicks and about 45 seconds.
API so you can do lots from code & Terraform.
I've seen comments about complicated costings and poor support. In my experiance support has been very good, when I've needed it.
How much something is going to cost is very clear, you know how much it is before you create the service. Ongoing costs can be complicated to work out as all costs are logged by a UUID, but that's getting updated I believe.
Costs are very competive.
Disks are very quick, even the standard disks.
No charge for Egress is brilliant.
Documentaion is good.
I get a server console and can watch it boot.
Only really used for VMs and a bit of Object Storage. Not used DBs or K8s.
We have multiple VMs behind Nginx proxy servers.
Multiple datacenters in different countries.
New services constantly being added.

**What do you dislike about UpCloud?**

This isn't Azure or AWS, don't expect the same things they offer. There are limted services available, which might not suite everyone, but what's there is very good.

**What problems is UpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed easy to configre fast hosting and a resoanble cost.

  ### 6. Outstanding Performance and Lightning-Fast Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rumen D. | Senior DevOps Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 27, 2025

**What do you like best about UpCloud?**

It's great to be using the new AMD EPYC, as it offers a noticeable improvement. I also appreciate the very fast response from support, which has made my experience even better.

**What do you dislike about UpCloud?**

So far, I haven't encountered any issues with UpCloud.

**What problems is UpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using UpCloud for personal purposes, not for business, so I don't have an opinion on how it performs in a business context.

  ### 7. The perfect balance between performances and simplicity of use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pierre Jean D. | CEO, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2025

**What do you like best about UpCloud?**

Upcloud bring prices adapted to your business (we spend thousand of eur monthly) . We are using upcloud during 11 years.... (we started in october 2014) and support, prices, upgrades was always their at the right moment for us....support is very good and with an high IT level. very easy to understand, very easy to manage...all is think to be just "business oriented" with a minimum of time spent on non-valuable time. Very easy to onboard everybody from non-technical to technical people. SLA is quiete perfect too.

**What do you dislike about UpCloud?**

In 11 years of use we did not have any negative feedback to give.

**What problems is UpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cost problem : while other system with other client had a natural spent growth, we control easily it with Upcloud and maintain the level of cost we want.
Performances : the infrastructure is really good
Ease of deployment : all is accessible easily and non-technician understand the interface too.

  ### 9. Upcloud is the most approachable service I know.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joop R. | Researcher and Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2025

**What do you like best about UpCloud?**

The best thing about UpCloud is their service. I find that I actually deal with people and over the years, usually with the same people. That is just great.
Also, the dashboard and subsequent screens are really clear and they've got great help. As individual user/developer, at times I find it hard to find all the intricacies of running a server and then their help is really valuable

**What do you dislike about UpCloud?**

I'd be hard pressed to come up with things I don't like about UpCloud.

**What problems is UpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm on a long term open source development project and run CouchDB, RabbitMQ, Apache and such for remote deployment and testing on two servers.

  ### 10. Great new cloud infrastructure provider

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2025

**What do you like best about UpCloud?**

Easy to use platform and best support team ever.
Costs are low.
Real easy to implement infrastructure ad code and terraform with lots of online samples
It will be my goto platform in the future

**What do you dislike about UpCloud?**

Missing global cross datacenter load balancing and DNS with Geo blocking to be able to build zone redundancy accross data centers
Server group network security rules
Lack for build in terraform backend "s3" support for storing terraform state online. Eventhough this can be done using a Managed Object Storage it would be nice to have it supported out of the box and integrated in the upcloud terraform provider
Maybe build in support in UI for creating server templates

**What problems is UpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I do not need to be conserned with hardware server OS issues

The permissions on the Administrative panel could be more granular for subaccounts.

We had some network performance issues, before their new object storage was available (directly) at multiple data-center locations, but now it's only a shadow of the past.

**What problems is UpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been using UpCloud for several years across a variety of use cases. We rely on UpCloud for hosting SAAS for our customers, for internal services, building custom automation pipelines (DevOps), and delivering remote training sessions and webinars. **What do you dislike about UpCloud?**

Many maintenance emails on the object storage front, it makes it appear that the object storage is not yet as mature as the rest of the platform.

**What problems is UpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are hosting our SaaS on UpCloud servers.

Easy to understand and good performance compared to other cloud service providers.

  ### 16. Outstanding service - easy to deploy

  ### 18. Superior to other cloud providers in every way

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2024

**What do you like best about UpCloud?**

A little-known outside of Europe company in Finland is by far superior to its peers in terms of value, pricing, simplicity of use, and reliability.

The support is OK, although I am not particularly impressed with the Singapore team, but it's everywhere like this.

**What do you dislike about UpCloud?**

I have two gripes, generally.

One is that the pricing went up in 2023, but I can understand why. The bigger issue is that they switched to euro, which makes it more difficult to convince my US partners to use it.

The second one is support in Singapore. They are so-so, although responsive.

**What problems is UpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hosting servers

  ### 19. Speed, quality and usability in virtual servers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2025

The ease of use to create, manage and make backups.
The data transfer is very fast too.
The support when something has happened has always been fast via chat or email.

**What do you dislike about UpCloud?**

The server packages are very competitively priced, but when customizing them I would like them to be priced more proportionally to the increased features.

**What problems is UpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need fast servers that can handle a lot of connections, with low latency and that are easy to set up, deploy and expand. Upcloud does this very well with its web portal.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2025

**What do you like best about UpCloud?**

A high-standard cloud system with upgraded hardware every three years. Users can fully manage the system themselves. It offers high stability and fast, congestion-free internet. The quality is more cost-effective compared to major service providers.

**What do you dislike about UpCloud?**

I would like the option to pay in US dollars again, or at least have the ability to pay in the local currency of each customer. Since switching to accept only euros, it feels more expensive when converted to Thai baht.

**What problems is UpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

help reduce costs related to computer hardware, maintenance, and high availability (HA) implementation

Some minor features from the Big Three Hyperscalers are missing, but I've been told those are under development.

**What problems is UpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've used UpCloud for years as an infrastructure provider. Lately we've started to use their managed services for many of the features we've previously had to run ourselves, e.g. Database and Kubernetes. These save time and effort from our side.

As a business that looks to offer seamless and branded experiences to our clients, the lack of extensive white-labeling features in UpCloud's services sometimes limits our ability to fully integrate and present these cloud solutions as our own.

**What problems is UpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UpCloud has been instrumental in addressing several critical challenges in our business. As of today UpCloud serves as the robust backbone of our entire cloud infrastructure.

**Reviewed by:** Jo G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2024

**What do you like best about UpCloud?**

The servers are absolutely blazing fast and utlra reliable, we've been very happy customers for years, furthermore the partnership with Upcloud is excellent!

There team is great, and the support is fast. Sending in a mail, we have usually a response within minutes.

**What do you dislike about UpCloud?**

Nothing too much to not like, maybe the invoicing could be a bit more detailed.

**What problems is UpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The reliable fast servers and services at Upcloud are the base for our TurboStack , they are in fact the underlying layer of our whole Platform-As-A-Service. Thanks to the combination of speed and reliabilty, we never have sleepless nights :)

We are truly happy with them as a partner, since with them we can keep our focus on the software stack and never have to worry about the hardware.

  ### 31. Better performance for same price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Asle B. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2024

**What do you like best about UpCloud?**

I can use less resources at Upcloud and still get better performance. Good support and faster response than the other big hosting companies.

**What do you dislike about UpCloud?**

I wish I could access incremental backup without reinstalling a new server. Like Jet Backup

**What problems is UpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Serve websites and databases

  ### 32. Unparalleled cloud performance and reliability

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2023

**What do you like best about UpCloud?**

If we need to get our work done faster, we can go to Upcloud since it has high-performance SSD storage at reasonable pricing. There is good transparency in pricing, which is fixed. We can get in touch for any assistance, which is quite easy.

**What do you dislike about UpCloud?**

The documentation is not very good because it cannot match AWS in that regard. The data centers are fewer compared to AWS availability zones. We can use it for small companies, but for MNCs, it is not suitable.

**What problems is UpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One significant advantage is that any large application, which would eventually slow down your cloud server, will perform well because it has a really good SSD. Easy scalability.

  ### 33. Great and fast support for great service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Davor S. | System Integrator / System Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2024

**What do you like best about UpCloud?**

It is not expensive and support is very helpful. Speed is also great

**What do you dislike about UpCloud?**

I dont have anything to report. It works as expected :)

**What problems is UpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have fast server with acceptable price. Support helped me out when I was in trouble. Thank you support.

  ### 34. It prioritizes security and implements robust security features to secure user data & infrastructure

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** charan kumar p. | Test Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2023

**What do you like best about UpCloud?**

Upcloud provides a comprehensive API and allowing users to automate and seamless management and integration with their cloud infrastructure and with other applications and services by continuous live monitoring to detect and track the threats.

**What do you dislike about UpCloud?**

Nothing i have seen but one thing i can suggest here is that ensure that your cloud settings are configured correctly when the initial coud setup is done during the transition from on premises to cloud

**What problems is UpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hybrid cloud a feature that is available for all private cloud setups for deploying the critical resources on private cloud and scaling the performance using public cloud spaces by creating many server plans as per user choice and manage control in the single control panel so that it is easier to clone any backup to a new storage device

  ### 35. Upcloud is very useful service provider.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hrithik S. | Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2023

**What do you like best about UpCloud?**

It has high performance as compared to other cloud service providers.
It offers 100% uptime SLA.

**What do you dislike about UpCloud?**

It has small ecosystem and with this it has very small services which gets full and sometimes causes issues for Max users.

**What problems is UpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is very scalable.
As per usage rise, it accordingly charged according to users usage.
We have to only pay for what we are using.
So it helps in getting low costs and expenditures and providing more profits to the organisation.

  ### 36. UpCloud- Unbeatable Cloud Infrastructure

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhranil C. | Associate Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2023

**What do you like best about UpCloud?**

The service of UpCloud is scalable and the costing is also very flexible, the redundancy they offer is amazing, Even they claim 50x payback to client if downtime occurs more than 5 mints. The interface is also quite easy to use.

**What do you dislike about UpCloud?**

The costing of UpCloud is bit higher compared to the other services provider in the market. The copy of server can be improved, it can be in bulk. Some popular server can be added for service like MS SQL. Else all the functions are very good.

**What problems is UpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In SaaS where performance depends on memory and storage, UpCloud works like pro. VPS service is also amazing. Very much cost effective, faster than other competitors in the market.

  ### 37. A very efficient and a reliable Iaas and cloud server with a transparent pricing and billing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alamanda N. | DevOps Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 05, 2023

**What do you like best about UpCloud?**

Excellent performance with multiple data centers with 99% uptime SLA with high availability to reduce the downtime of different applications. Also, it has the maxiops storage that provides fast executions

**What do you dislike about UpCloud?**

The worst experience I faced was the response time was off delayed, and the support team had no proper knowledge of the issues that were occurring related to the cloud platforms

**What problems is UpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has the best features of backup for virtual machine snapshots and also proper firewall security mechanism that can allow/deny the network traffic from users

  ### 38. Best data center maintainer across the globe

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manikanta K. | System Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about UpCloud?**

Customized UI interface with high speed and flexible prices with good availability zones and availability sets with zero downtime SLA

Hosting the applications is quite impressive

**What do you dislike about UpCloud?**

There will be a slight change in gui interface for this cloud iaas servers

Cost analysis and management with better advisory option should be improved

Not user friendly for use the iaas servers

**What problems is UpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Free migration of hosting the servers with 100% uptime SLA and can deploy the services in less than fraction of seconds

Private and public servers are in a isolated location

  ### 39. UPDATED: Great VPS but now way overpriced

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brady P. | Marketing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2022

**What do you like best about UpCloud?**

Customer support is great. Onboard console page makes it easy to make changes if you're not on your own computer for some reason. I also love that they have an affiliate program.

**What do you dislike about UpCloud?**

For me the script feature worked sometimes, but not always. I wish there was a way to copy servers in bulk rather than one by one as I run masternodes and often spool up several at a time.

More importantly, they just had a huge hike in their rates to the tune of 40+% and changed the currency they charge in, further adding to the issue.

**What problems is UpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed reliable hosting for my masternodes and UpCloud does that well, particularly the US servers have been the best for me. Also, I teach others how to run masternodes and it's nice to get a reward for that.

UPDATE: I am amending this review, and I don't recommend UpCloud to anyone now as it's not priced competitively. It does work the same, just not worth the cost.

  ### 40. Review about Upcloud

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kanishk B. | Software Engineer Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2023

**What do you like best about UpCloud?**

The downtime of the server is negligible and helps the user to acces the service more quickly and effectively. Loading performance of the website becomes more faster.

**What do you dislike about UpCloud?**

There is no free trial or the premium version is available initially which makes people think about before taking the service.

**What problems is UpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is more fast and efficient while accessing the applications over the server.
Pricing also seems to he descent for the new users.

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2023

**What do you like best about UpCloud?**

UpCloud provides an extremely high-performance cloud infrastructure that uses cutting-edge technology and SSD-based storage, resulting in quicker data access and overall performance.

**What do you dislike about UpCloud?**

UpCloud bandwidth price may be deemed more expensive then the oither similar priovider.

**What problems is UpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UpCloud capacity to efficiently scale resources up and down caters to us who have fluctuating workloads. Because of its scalability, teams can respond swiftly to changing needs, assuring optimal resource allocation and cost-efficiency.

  ### 46. It has a better deploy and configure environment

**What do you like best about UpCloud?**

It enables the best firewall for our on premises and cloud servers and free scalable

**What do you dislike about UpCloud?**

Customer support and user interface should be concentrated

  ### 47. Computational backend support offered by UpCloud is satisfactory for our Cloud Servers

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ravi C. | Cloud Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2022

**What do you like best about UpCloud?**

UpCloud provisions compute services for our organization which includes data storage & computational capacities without directly managing the server. It gives flexible plans with predefined resource allocations and configuration options based on our necessities. Its billing is processed on an hourly basis and sends the cloud resource expenditure every month to our business email. In case we want to enable its metadata service, we can do it directly at any point without having the need to restart our cloud server. UpCloud ensures to reflect the changes on a real-time basis which is helpful while working with distributed teams.

**What do you dislike about UpCloud?**

UpCloud doesn't offer licenses for a few of our requirements. Recently we had a customer request to work with MS SQL server in UpCloud platform but since it doesn't provide MS SQL license, we notified the client and moved the deployment to the AWS platform. It would be great if UpCloud provides licenses for popular software so that we can integrate them and work on a single platform.

**What problems is UpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UpCloud guarantees 100% SLA for our cloud servers which effectively prevents unscheduled interruptions in our cloud infrastructure. We also utilize dedicated servers for a few of our business use cases and also resize its storage capacity in its server settings. For secure communications between our internal servers, we configure its SDN private network feature which gives me more control over the connected cloud servers.

  ### 48. Huge speed and power at a great price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcus B. | Design and Marketing Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2022

**What do you like best about UpCloud?**

Having tried a number of cloud services, Upcloud won on performance, value, reliability, and ease of use. I'm not as technical as some users I'm sure, so by combining with a service like Ploi or Runcloud I get a huge amount of power with minimal effort. I can upsell what I believe to be the best hosting to my clients.

**What do you dislike about UpCloud?**

Nothing at all. The functions that are too technical for me to do directly I can manage via a tool like Ploi or Runcloud. So Upcloud just works seamlessly in the background for me.

**What problems is UpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowing me to resell hosting to clients, offering better value, better service, and less admin/stress for me. All my clients sites perform far faster now I've moved them.

  ### 49. Best VPS Provider

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arafat Ahmad M. | Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2021

**What do you like best about UpCloud?**

The speed of Upcloud Storage are awesome. It is super fast for transferring files inside VPS. The bandwidth quota is so high compared to the budget. Overall is very great. Using it since past 2 years

**What do you dislike about UpCloud?**

One downside of UpCloud is, UpCloud automatically shutdown my VPS & Website when my balance run out of balance. They should atleast give time to topup. This is really bad. Even when they won't able to bill automatically, they shut down . And all of my SaaS users starts complaining

**Recommendations to others considering UpCloud:**

I recommend Upcloud to those people who need to scale their SaaS applications to next level while keeping in tight budget.

**What problems is UpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using UpCloud for my SaaS product which is highly dependent on memory and storage. So in this case, UpCloud worked faster than Digital Ocen. It is even cheaper considering the price/value.

  ### 50. Poor Customer Service & Refusing Refund

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua C. | Chief Executive Officer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2020

**What do you like best about UpCloud?**

Nothing at the moment, there wasn't anything that our hosting company wanted to continue operating with.

**What do you dislike about UpCloud?**

- We are 6 days outside of the initial 30-day window account opening window.

- Contacted support to get the remaining, unused balance refunded to our account as that is our money, not UpCloud.

- Support pushed back saying it's not possible, as it's in the Terms of Service: https://upcloud.com/terms-of-service/

- We continued to discuss back and forth via email, support confirming that when an account is closed, the balance is absorbed by UpCloud, not returned to the customer. (Last time I checked, that's robbery, regardless of written policy.)

- Support's quoted response: "...If I am to offer any advice for your dealings in the future, demanding us to break the agreement because it suits you, will not garner any good will in any forum you seek. The rules are in place for a reason and will not be broken just because you demand it so. Please feel free to report or leave account open so funds can be used later. But if you want the account deleted, the funds will go away..."

- Then to top it off, we had auto-billing enabled for when the balance falls below a set amount, it would auto-debit the company account. The support team, took it upon themselves, to continue trying to cancel the account (which is what we asked for), which resulted in the balance hitting zero. So the balance we had was wiped out and then we were charged again.

- I had to request a manager twice in order to get some kind of acknowledgment of the request.

**Recommendations to others considering UpCloud:**

Avoid it and go with anything else.

**What problems is UpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not solving any problems, their support is just creating more.
