Unstract's pricing is best suited for small businesses and mid-market companies in document-intensive industries. G2 reviewers span insurance, IT services, accounting, financial services, industrial automation, and commercial real estate, with small businesses dominating the review base. The $499/month Starter tier fits small teams processing invoices, contracts, or carrier statements at moderate volume, particularly those bringing their own LLM keys to control costs. The Growth tier at $2,249/month suits mid-market IT and software firms running multi-client pipelines at scale. The On-Premise tier targets regulated industries like insurance and healthcare requiring data sovereignty. G2 reviews of Unstract consistently highlight technical teams as extracting maximum ROI.
Unstract does not offer a permanent free tier, but a free trial is available for evaluation. G2 reviewers mention using Unstract on a free plan for basic image validation and project support, suggesting the trial provides meaningful hands-on access. Unstract's paid plans start at $499/month (Starter) with 5,000 pages/month, LLMWhisperer access, SinglePass and Summarized Extraction, Human Quality Review, and SSO. The Growth tier at $2,249/month scales to 25,000 pages with reduced overage rates. The On-Premise tier, priced on request, adds deployment control for strict data regulation environments. Key paid upgrades over the trial include volume capacity, overage handling, and enterprise governance features.
G2 reviewers broadly rate Unstract highly, averaging around 4.3 to 5.0 across segments, signaling strong satisfaction relative to cost. G2 users in accounting, insurance, and IT services cite 90% workflow automation, 65+ hours saved monthly, and elimination of manual data entry as concrete returns. One G2 reviewer explicitly notes Unstract is cheaper than LlamaIndex. However, pricing of Unstract draws isolated criticism: one financial services reviewer flags the $499/month Starter tier as steep for early-stage startups, and one reviewer in computer and network security notes pricing could be lower. Overall, G2 reviews of Unstract indicate strong value for teams processing high document volumes, but budget-constrained startups may find the entry tier a stretch.
