**What do you like best about UnitLook?**

What I like most about UnitLook is its unified combination of request ticketing, capacity planning, and built‑in time tracking all in one platform, which fits our market‑research workflow really well at Bright Horizon Marketing Stuttgart. Before we switched over from Upprovall, we juggled intake forms, workload spreadsheets, and separate time‑tracking sheets across different tools, and data never connected properly. One memorable incident: we accepted three client audience‑survey assignments at once, but had no real‑time workload visibility. We overloaded two research analysts, data‑processing work dragged on, and we nearly missed a major brand‑tracking client’s campaign kick‑off deadline, forcing our account team to do emergency client damage‑control work. The platform ties together ticket intake, resource visibility, and time logging natively, so we avoid those over‑commitment mistakes. When new client research requests come in, I log each brief as a ticket first, convert approved tickets straight into research projects, then split out subtasks for questionnaire drafting via Qualtrics Market Research, sample setup, raw‑data cleaning and final insight reports. I check the capacity‑planning dashboard right away to see each researcher’s live workload and rebalance assignments before anyone gets burnt out. I heavily rely on its time‑tracking function, as every team member logs hours against individual research tasks. This provides factual breakdowns showing exactly how many hours go into survey design, data processing and report writing for each client. I share these concrete figures with our sales team to set accurate project quotes and justify realistic timelines for new proposals. Having intake, resource oversight, and time tracking in a single tool removes the need for us to jump between three separate systems. UnitLook brings structure to our chaotic incoming research pipeline and keeps our market‑research work predictable and transparent for both internal teams and our clients.

**What do you dislike about UnitLook?**

There are several practical pain‑points with UnitLook that create recurring manual work for our 11‑50‑person marketing agency team at Bright Horizon Marketing Stuttgart. Exported CSV and PDF reports struggle with German special‑character encoding. Client company names, target‑group labels, and local‑market references get garbled with broken umlauts. I must proofread and edit every exported file before passing deliverables to account managers and clients, then save corrected copies into Microsoft OneDrive for Business. On one recent client deliverable, I rushed and skipped full proofreading; garbled umlauts messed up target‑audience segment labels in the exported PDF, and our account manager almost sent the flawed file directly to the end‑client. There is also no built‑in scheduled reporting function; I have to manually generate and send progress updates to stakeholders, which eats into my actual analysis time. Beyond export issues, there are no out‑of‑the‑box starter templates for market‑research projects. Every new client survey project still requires me to build custom ticket fields and subtask structures from scratch. Junior team members struggle with advanced admin panels that are only available in English, slowing down onboarding. We also lack native integration with our survey tools Qualtrics Market Research and QuestionPro. All survey outputs need manual copying into UnitLook tasks, which carries human‑error risk during high‑volume project cycles. These are not deal‑breakers, but better industry‑specific templates, survey‑tool integrations, improved export encoding, and scheduled reports would cut down a lot of our repetitive administrative overhead.

**What problems is UnitLook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UnitLook helps me organize my team's research pipeline with connected request ticketing, capacity planning and time tracking, preventing team overload and enabling timely project delivery. Back when we used Upprovall, we had no unified way to view incoming research requests alongside team bandwidth. On a past high‑priority brand‑perception study, we took on too many client survey jobs without knowing our analysts were already at full capacity. Critical audience‑data processing got delayed, we almost missed a client’s campaign launch window, and our account team had to spend extra time smoothing over client frustration. Now every new market‑research request starts as a formal ticket inside UnitLook, so no client brief falls through the cracks. I convert approved tickets into full projects, assign subtasks for questionnaire work, data cleaning and insight writing, and use capacity views to spot overloaded team members early so I can shift tasks around. Its time‑tracking captures real hours spent on each client engagement, rather than us guessing effort numbers. I can take those hard metrics and clearly justify our client project timelines and pricing to sales and leadership. Even though we still need manual data hand‑offs with Qualtrics Market Research, QuestionPro and Nutshell CRM, UnitLook eliminates the blind spots we suffered in our previous tool. It stops us from overpromising research deliverables we cannot realistically finish, and gives us audit‑ready time‑log evidence for every client market‑research assignment we complete.
