Documents are an output of combining information, including both internal and external sources. Yet, many editors today fail to evolve to suit our style of digital workflow. As a marketer, there are a lot of files, contents and references that I handle daily, and as much as I try to stay organized, there are always cases where things get lost. This platform helps me keep track of all my information in a single space, share information with my team, and become almost twice as efficient. It's too bad Typed wasn't around when I was back in school. It would have made term papers an absolute breeze. **What do you dislike about Typed?** It does have a bit of a learning curve, but if you take just 30 minutes out of your day to press around and test some of the available features, you'll be able to figure out a few features that'll immediately add value to your daily projects and improve efficiency. The rest you can take your time to learn. **What problems is Typed solving and how is that benefiting you?** As I write a lot daily, jumping from screen to screen or file to file becomes a hassle when looking for references. The platform not only helps me keep track of all of my files and references, but also lets me read and write in a single space, drastically cutting down the amount of time I spend searching. ### 2. It is very intuitive to use and really solves the problems I have been having with researching and writing documents while referencing a crazy amount of tabs/articles/pdfs/screenshots/etc. Especially now that I have been using Typed for quite a bit, it really has become my go-to tool when I'm writing anything. Would highly recommend Typed. **What do you dislike about Typed?** As one of the first users of Typed, I've experienced the pdf loading speed/some miscellaneous bugs. However, to see Typed fixing those and adding new features, especially some features that I exactly wanted (such as external share/improved pdf viewer), was amazing and that has been a good enough reason why I chose to and will continue on using Typed. **What problems is Typed solving and how is that benefiting you?** It does the tedious work for me, the work that doesn't really matter in terms of importance but takes up so much time-organizing files, searching for previous versions of the document, asking people around who took the note for a meeting. The hassles of working have been greatly reduced because of Typed. ### 3. Connecting the Docs? Typed, enhances productivity by allowing me to focus only on work. Features like recommendations of useful resources I have created before, and syncing are AWESOME, not having to worry if this is the new one or not. As an intern working as RA, I spend most of my time collecting new references and putting them together to create my insight and sharing it with seniors. Typed enables me to collect all kinds of references (URL, PDF, Docs, Excel, etc.) and save those in the "library" of one document. It shortens my routine of researching & organizing them. The MAIN AHA MOMENT, I experienced was when I was writing down a report about a specific industry. With the split viewer in Typed, I can simultaneously analyze the flood of references (which I collected previously using Typed). & write down insights I developed through it. Plus, no more need to get stressed out with citations & references. since anyone who has access to my doc can check and even download the original reference themselves. EVEN BETTER WHEN USING IT TOGETHER Doing work by myself is only the start of the work. Requesting feedback, sharing it with other teammates, distributing tasks... Lots to go on. Always suffered from colleagues saying "I forgot" or even worse, no response after a week. But with Typed, all things are settled. Sharing docs is much easier since they now have access and do not question me "Where did you get that data from?". I can request a review after my work is done, which gives notification to the person I requested it & distribute tasks right away in Typed. Efficient collaboration, thanks to Typed. Fast Updates When I request a feature, Team Typed responds fast and applies it quickly. The product is getting better week by week. **What do you dislike about Typed?** Nothing specifically, but I expect more progress in the mobile app though. However, the team told me they are working on it so I am really looking forward to it. **What problems is Typed solving and how is that benefiting you?** One Software, All done Moving back and forth mail, slack, docs... and all the tools our company is using always took so much time & effort. TYPED syncs it all together. Work is all completed from beginning to end in Typed. No more tools needed. ### 4. Not a standard to but incorporates AI to help organize, structure and suggest document organization. This is becoming a great tool to not only organize work flow but increase content productivity. **What do you dislike about Typed?** As a few other mentioned mobile app development, voice commands and more integrations. It is a terrific idea to have the visual dashboards on the right & left that you can open and close at any time, for both functional and aesthetic reasons. Love the fact that you're able to transfer the highlights from other files straight into your document. In contrast to numerous other apps, this one is obviously centered on "creating" written content. **What do you dislike about Typed?** Nothing to dislike per se for the price, but I wish they could add voice typing to its product feature which is a crucial function for a lot of professionals in the content writing industry. **What problems is Typed solving and how is that benefiting you?** As a part of our Elearning content, creating content was one of the biggest time sucker given the sheer amount of research that goes into writing content. Having said that, given the large number of documents, Me & My team was sick of getting lost in G-Drive. Not any more..Writing a well-research script in less time & Finding & organizing these created documents is now a breeze! ### 6. Typed allows me and my colleagues to organize important files (documents, PDFs, images, ppt, etc.) in an output-oriented manner, allowing efficient management and tracking of projects ongoing within the company (e.g. marketing campaigns, fundraising, etc.). The interface is perfect for "building" documents that require multiple contexts or heavy research as we can view any reference files through the split viewer. The AI-driven file recommendations are absolutely fantastic as they provide me with useful files to utilize as I am writing my document! These recommendations feel like magic. Finally, Typed is a perfect tool not only for internal purposes (meeting notes, project proposals, business plans) but also for external communication as it allows sharing of multiple files, once again, in an output-centric manner. As opposed to email or communications tools in which the "text message" is the primary mode of communication, Typed allows communication that revolves around OUTPUT. This was what I really needed all along! **What do you dislike about Typed?** Nothing so far! The team has been very responsive in terms of any questions that my team had and was very clear on what features are coming next. Looking forward to the document review feature! **What problems is Typed solving and how is that benefiting you?** For my team, Typed is solving the issue of file organization and utility within the company. Before using Typed, we organized all of our files in Google Drive, which was effective in the beginning but got messy as the folder system got confusing as more members joined the team. I love the fact that Typed is perfectly synced with Google Drive, and it's definitely helping my startup regarding file organization which has been such a headache. ### 7. You can bundle all the links you need asking with multiple open doc files at the same time. **What do you dislike about Typed?** Still a bit nervous that I need to give Typed universal access to my GDrive (unless there is a way to limit it that I don't know about?) **What problems is Typed solving and how is that benefiting you?** Wrangling all the various reference sources and working documents together in one space. The Typed Drive is a bot that is a link between your drive and our software to manage all the files and permissions you set and it allows you to have unlimited storage with G Drive through Typed - but very soon in the next month, we will have the setting that allows you to choose between using your own drive (with your own storage limits) or using the Typed Drive (unlimited storage) if you are concerned.
