They were able to accommodate the high level of specs that we have to track regarding our commodities and were one of the only ones that had an option for price quoting before and order is created. Having the ability to do document management right from Truckbase allowed us to eliminate multiple other pieces of software along with giving us the ability to share documents like permits easily with our drivers through the Truckbase app and order landing pages. **What do you dislike about Truckbase?** There haven't really been any cons that we have been able to notice as Truckbase has been incredibly responsive to all of our questions and requests. **What problems is Truckbase solving and how is that benefiting you?** Truckbase being all in on heavy haul is a huge factor for us because they understand our business and offer features to match. -Our drivers are happy with the visibility of what they have to do ahead of them. The landing page has all of the information for their loads, all of the documents they need for their load along with information on upcoming loads which has increased communication that the drivers have appreciated. -Truckbase is incredibly fast to respond when it comes to support and they have been quick to fix any small bugs that have occasionally popped up. ### 2. Integrates with Geotab and Quickbooks Online. Notifies customers with load status changes. Superb customer service and continued innovation **What do you dislike about Truckbase?** We have experienced a few bugs, but their team is very quick to correct them. Really, nothing significant. **What problems is Truckbase solving and how is that benefiting you?** It has been a much smoother transition than we expected. Truckbase has literally saved us 20 plus hours per week in duplicate tasks, order entry, dispatching, billing, etc. The driver scan feature allows us to invoice almost immediately once the load is delivered, speeding up cash flow up to a full 7 days on loads that deliver on Mondays. The software and app are very user-friendly, allowing smooth implementation even with our older, less tech-savvy drivers. Customer service is superb in making sure we are satisfied, fixing/helping us through any issues that arise, and asking for suggestions on improvements. And they are constantly innovating. Multiple updates with very useful features have come out in the less than 7 months we have been using the software. ### 3. They have already set the bar high. From onboarding to customer support, my experience has been exceptional. Super user friendly design for both office and the driver use, it doesn’t get easier. I have had virtually no headaches during our transition. The one bug issue we had was resolved right away. Managing our fleet and managing our drivers has been so smooth. A breath of fresh air. Last but not lease, they are affordable even for a small outfit like ours. Growing our company is going to be a breeze! What I like most is their Customer Care and their focus on equipment hauling and oversized equipment hauling aspects of the trucking industry. It’s almost as if it were designed just for us. The ease of setting up heavy equipment hauling loads to creating an invoice to its connection ease with Quickbooks is very nice. Truckbase has focused on the carrier as opposed to a broker or OTR customer to customer trucking company. **What do you dislike about Truckbase?** I didn’t find any dislikes. They are still developing and open to suggestions to improve their TMS which is a huge plus. **What problems is Truckbase solving and how is that benefiting you?** Having important detailed information on customers invoices along with photos attached has made our customers happy. ### 4. It is really user friendly and mostly easy to use and understand. **What do you dislike about Truckbase?** There are a few things that don't work exactly right for our business. But we are also adapting our business model to work with truckbase more for invoicing and payroll. We have also told truckbase of a few things and they are working on improving. I like that. **What problems is Truckbase solving and how is that benefiting you?** I can't be in the office 60 hours a week. This allows me to leave and still be sure everyone is dispatched. It is also helping the business get a good comparison of what the company makes and the driver makes. It is helping us becoming more productive as a company. ### 5. Before integrating this cloud based software, many of our processes were manually performed which added time and redundancy across our various daily tasks. Truckbase has streamlined communication between our dispatchers, drivers, billing department, and customers. Our team is more organized now and benefits from being able to quickly reference historical data using the various search filters. New features are regularly added, and you can tell the Truckbase team is working hard to become the TMS software of choice in the trucking industry. It's well worth the investment. **What do you dislike about Truckbase?** Currently there are no downsides worth noting, I would recommend it to everyone in the industry. When we first started using Truckbase one year ago, the software had some bugs and slow processing speed, but after pointing out the issues to their customer support team, those issues were quickly fixed. **What problems is Truckbase solving and how is that benefiting you?** The top three are: 1. Keeping track of customer load requests and referencing historical data. 2. Communicating dispatch information from office to drivers. 3. Billing customer soon after completion of delivery. ### 7. Having come from the tech industry where the majority of employees are technically savvy regardless of interface, I knew ease of use would be the biggest determining factor of a successful implementation. Luckily for us, Truckbase has more than delivered. On top of the product, the team is always willing to go above and beyond for their customers. **What do you dislike about Truckbase?** To get nitpicky, I do wish that I had a little bit more flexibility in the system from an admin perspective. It would be nice to have access to more granular settings or even grid-like bulk updating features. However, it is so easy to get lost in providing a million features, so I would pick Truckbase 10/10 times over a system like McLeod. **What problems is Truckbase solving and how is that benefiting you?** Lack of operational visibility and performance forecasting was a huge issue that Truckbase directly solved. Issues with invoicing, specifically with POD collection, has been been made way easier with Truckbase. Our previous solution required so many different points of data input that mistakes were everywhere, Truckbase provides a single location so data only needs to be input one time vs many. ### 9. Have seen several product improvements in last few months and bugs are quickly worked out. Excited to see what improvements they make as the product continues to grow. Truckbase saves me hours of work and counltess headaches from experiences I have had with other TMS systems. Can't imagine how many hours of work it has saved me. Streamlines and makes the work easy. Provides automated tracking e-mails and updates to customer. Gives me the flexibility to build loads and dispatch from anywhere with mobile friendly interface. Support responds quickly and development values my input and uses it to grow the product. PDF importer allows me to build loads quickly and easily. Was very easy to get started and use from day 1. **What do you dislike about Truckbase?** Reports, empty and loaded miles, are things in development but haven't been implemented yet. **What problems is Truckbase solving and how is that benefiting you?** Very easy to organize loads, dispatch them, and get information to drivers quickly. AI rate importer makes it easy to pull informaiton from orders into system to dispatch. Invoicing is very quick and easy. Saves 10+ hours versus doing with spreadsheets or quickbooks. ### 10. Their customer support is top of line and the ease of use and ease of implementation is best in the industry. I have taught my maintenance manager to search Truckbase for trailers that might have been damaged on loads in minutes. I have even taught people who have never used any TMS or dispatch software how to invoice loads to customers which keeps our delivered to invoiced loads count at nearly zero. Their driver app is simple to use and has all the features necessary for a driver to know what their pay will be on each shipment. I run approximately 550 loads per month through truckbase and in 12 months I have never had an invoice rejected for documents not attaching properly. I have lots of EDI customers and the updates flow flawlessly from our drivers phones to our customers back end systems. **What do you dislike about Truckbase?** Driver settlements need some work and that is on their radar and scheduled to get revamped in Q1 2025. They're more expensive than the cheapest systems(ITS Dispatch etc)but far more capable. **What problems is Truckbase solving and how is that benefiting you?** EDI/API Integration has been huge, having that capability levels the playing field with the mega carriers when it comes to capability of integration and keeping the customer updated. Ease of use has been huge for me as the system I came from was incredibly complicated and the reporting feature was hard to byzantine. Now I can quickly glance at all lane history searches and revenue numbers to make better and more timely quotes. The last TMS i used had to send a representative to my office for 3 days and teach my dispatcher how to dispatch the loads, teach my accounting helper how to invoice and teach me how to run reports. When the dispatcher would go on vacation I struggled to do the data entry and load assignments. When our accountant left I had to pay her to come back and teach me how to do invoicing.
