## Triplebyte Reviews
  ### 1. How Improved Searching and Hiring Techniques Can Save Time and Effort

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eda D. | Talent Acquisition Manager, Information Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

I like Triplebyte because it allows me to apply to multiple companies at once, which increases my chances of getting hired. Additionally, it operates in multiple countries and welcomes candidates at all levels of experience, including those who are currently employed. The fact that they can help me negotiate my salary and benefits is also an advantage. Furthermore, the guidance and resources they provide for visa sponsorship is helpful as well. Overall, Triplebyte offers a comprehensive and flexible approach to job searching that is tailored to my needs.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

The lack of transparency in the criteria used to match me with job opportunities makes it hard for me to understand how the process works, causing me frustration and uncertainty. I find it difficult to assess my chances of getting a job and what I need to do to improve.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have improved the quality of the searching and hiring of software engineers. This saves us time and effort when recruiting staff, because it allows us to quickly select candidates based on their specific skills, such as server side, frotend and SQL. It also helps us, upgrade engineering teams by matching them with job opportunities that are well-suited to their skills and interests.

Saying for individual use, it allows them to find and eventually hire multiple engineers directly from the platform under license in one place, providing leverage in the hiring process.

  ### 2. A responsible free experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arjun B. | Senior Systems Architect

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

Its free and the questionnaires for a free site like this is great

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

There is nothing to dislike at the moment

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gives a good screener for our prospects with built-in questions, is very easy to set up, and the scoring helps us quickly sort out the best applicants.

  ### 3. Great resource for finding devs to reach out to

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris A. | VP of Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

The best part of Triplebyte is the peace of mind knowing that the devs on their platform have taken their test. Overall we found that devs from Triplebyte were of a higher caliber overall.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

Even though there are lots of devs on the platform, very few of them are actively looking. Thankfully that doesn't mean they aren't open to new opportunities, but it does mean that you'll have a lower response rate than you might imagine.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding quality developers without spending absurd amounts of time. As a small startup having a resource that can do a lot of the heavy lifting for you was really attractive. Overall it let us focus on the human element of hiring instead of the recruiting side of the house.

  ### 4. Great tool for startups to screen technology talent around the world.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Siddu K. | Founder and CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

Companies can create tests in minutes.
The hiring team can collaborate before finalizing a test.
The hiring team can create multiple tests minor tweaks.
The test results are accurate with candidate verbal interviews.
Candidates can start a test within minutes.
The hiring team gets notified when the test is completed. High-level test results are embedded in an email.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

Ability to edit a test is not possible even though no candidate has taken a test yet.
The ability to add domain-specific questions is not possible.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are screening candidates for Backend, Frontend, and database skillsets. Triplebyte helps us screen candidates, faster and efficiently.

  ### 5. Great candidate pool to add to your top of funnel recruiting needs

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zak A. | VP of Engineering, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

Triplebyte offers a large pool of candidates and has more detailed technical stats on top of their raw experience. This combination allows for us to know more about candidates before we do intro calls with them. 3 of our current team of 10 are from Triplebyte!

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

We used to use Triplebyte over 3 years ago when the product was a little different. It was more of a white-glove service. Now more of the onus is on you as the hiring manager to find and source candidates from their pool. They changed the pricing model to account for this, but ultimately leads to more work within their product. The lack of diversity of candidates is something that we've noticed as well.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have lofty aspirations to grow our engineering team and Triplebyte helps us with just that. As one of many top of funnel sources for candidates we can dial up or down the amount of time we spend within Triplebyte depending on our other sources. We've found a lot of recent success in our two most recent hires coming from Triplebyte.

  ### 6. Easily source, review, and engage technical talent

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian D. | Senior Manager of Recruiting, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

I have been using TripleByte for the past 18 months, and I like that they are continuously improving the product. It was straightforward to set up the integration with our ATS (Greenhouse) so that once we engage with a candidate, we can quickly move them through our interview funnel. TripleByte is also great because it allows you to see test scores for many different areas of technical aptitude - which makes it easy to target our outreach and hone in on the specific technical need for a particular role. TripleBytes Account Managers are also readily available to help when I have questions, and they also provide a QBR to their clients which has many useful metrics to improve the hiring process.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

I dislike that TripleByte doesn't allow candidates to upload a regular resume - though it does provide a link to their LinkedIn profile which is helpful when used in conjunction with the candidate's TripleByte resume. It would also be nice to know when a candidate was last active on TripleByte.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can consistently brand our organization through TripleByte's profile page, which helps us remain competitive while hiring software engineers. We have hired several high-quality engineers through the platform and realized the benefits and cost savings vs. using a staffing agency from day one. TripleByte is also great because it provides us with meaningful context as to which factors are essential to a candidate in their job search so that we may speak directly to these topics while interviewing them.

  ### 7. Great platform for candidates and hiring managers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

I have used Triplebyte as both a candidate and a hiring manager.

Candidate: Triplebyte lets you show off your actual skills, not be constrained by a non-traditional background. They also provide excellent feedback on your interview performance and give you the resources you need to improve.

Hiring Manager: Triplebyte gives you access to a large pool of verified technically competent candidates. I have never brought a verified candidate onsite and found them lacking in technical skills. This allows me to focus on soft-skill assessment along with culture fit and reduce the overall complexity of the hiring process.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

It is difficult to find niche candidates sometimes. I struggled to find a candidate with experience in MacOS desktop application development. Another concern is the number of candidates who are active on Triplebyte, but not really looking for a new role.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Triplebyte has drastically reduced the number of initial screening calls with candidates. The ratio of hires/screening calls has gone up significantly.

  ### 8. Amazing value and leverage

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jack D. | Head of Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

It's incredibly useful to see an objective signal of an engineers technical ability early on in the sourcing process.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

Some aspects of the interface need iteration and further development. It's challenging to build great search and filtering tooling and it's solid and getting better.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was able to source and ultimately hire a number of engineers, on my own, directly from the platform. To get this all under a single seat license is immense value and leverage.

  ### 9. Easy searching for niche technical skill sets

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carolina L. | Senior Technical Recruiter, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

I love being able to see what area candidates are proficient in, allows me to understand the likelihood of them passing our technical screens.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

I dislike how the platform is always changing without much of a heads up to the user.

**Recommendations to others considering Triplebyte:**

Keep on top of changes! They are always improving the platform so you will see things changing.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Identifying what candidates will do best in our interview process and at Braze.

  ### 10. Best hiring platform bar none

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** William C. | Head of Talent, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

Candidate quality is extremely high, the exam is very calibrated to our needs, and response rates are above average

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

Candidate volume is a little low - which is fine given how high the quality is

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Can hire 1 top flight engineer per week if we really juice the platform. Nothing else on the market even comes close to that (including agencies). And the pricing is very fair

  ### 11. Triplebyte has been great for us in the past

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

The skills assessment is the most reliable we've seen in the industry; it has allowed us to save time by skipping the technical screen portion of our interview process.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

The quality of candidates seems to have gone down over time. I'm not sure if the threshold for getting listed on Triplebyte has changed, but we now have to filter through many more candidates than before. Additionally, the response rate for candidates has gone down.

**Recommendations to others considering Triplebyte:**

We're still vetting their new pricing model, but Triplebyte has been great in the past.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're able to fast-track candidates, saving our engineers precious time doing technical screens.

  ### 12. Solving real problem but average candidates and weak screening process.

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

The user interface and experience is good. It's intuitive and they take care of end-to-end solutions. They make process super easy in terms of logistics, and they also provide services for on-sites which is great.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

Candidate quality and screening process. The screening process seems random, the quality of high scoring candidates was quite low tbh. We had to interview candidates with low score as they were much better. Apart from that the pool is limited, and the response rate of candidate is really low.

**Recommendations to others considering Triplebyte:**

It has potential, but it doesn't have great talent pool. It does make process easy

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sourcing candidates easily, and less time investment in finding and vetting candidates.

  ### 13. Great recruiting tool to hire top engineers!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff G. | Director of Talent Acquisition, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

Access to prescreened candidates with specific details of what these candidates are looking for in a new opportunity. It allows you to take a more targeted approach with your recruiting efforts.
I like the screening tools that they offer.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

I think they are still building out their talent pools with more developers. It would be great if their was a larger pool of talent but I think that will take some time, and eventually, they will get there.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have had success recruiting development talent and generating efficiencies through their online assessments.

  ### 14. Half of our engineering team is from Triplebyte!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

- access to a large set of pre-screened engineering candidates
- candidates are generally actively looking for jobs, making sourcing easier for a zero-recruiter company
- growing focus on DEI

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

- more useful for entry and mid-level engineers: the quantitative metrics they have aren't as helpful for senior candidates
- FastTrack pipeline hasn't been super huge lately

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At least half of our ~30-person engineering team comes from Triplebyte—as a small company without a dedicated recruiter, Triplebyte lets us focus our time on engineering instead of recruiting.

  ### 15. Great place to find Talent

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael S. | S, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

Prescreening and candidate profile layout

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

The options given for filtering candidates. Too vague and mean too many things to too many different people. Should add a section for skill set, like Java, .Net etc.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding new hires and building a bench of talent.

  ### 16. 2 thumbs up!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

I like that each candidate has been assessed technically on this platform. We even go as far as pushing candidates through past our first technical screening because of this making your platform easier to find great talent. It also maximizes the time of our team/ engineers.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

Triplebyte recently made changes to the platform which I know left our team a bit confused on how the ratings for each candidate compare to those in the past. It would be great if there was a publication on how to judge this.

**Recommendations to others considering Triplebyte:**

Check platform each week to view new candidates who have joined that could be a fit for your open positions.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

-

  ### 17. Major driver in early startup recruiting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

Saves me tons of time screening candidates and drives up the signal to noise ratio.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

Too much attention on fast track candidates, creating a bidding war with much better funded companies for good candidates.

**Recommendations to others considering Triplebyte:**

If you need to hire fast and don’t mind competing with other companies for the best talent on the platform, go with Triplebyte

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Eliminating the most dreary and repetitive part of the recruiting process, initial phone screens.

  ### 18. Triplebyte is great!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

I like the ability to directly access candidates, being able to utilize Triplebyte screening and only filter top-tier candidates. That saves a long time in our hiring process.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

The filter system is very good, but there can be some improvements regarding AND conditions.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We want to reduce our signal-to-noise ratio when interviewing candidates, as every candidate we take through our process takes a lot of time and resources. Triplebyte pre-screening and advanced filters allow us to only approach candidates that have higher chance to get through our hirigin pipeline.

  ### 19. Quality candidates improving our time to hire rate

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chika K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2020

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

Triplebyte does technical screens which reduces a lot of time and work from our engineering teams .

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

The scheduling tool. It's an extra step because it does not connect with our ATS (Greenhouse). I have to schedule through Triplebyte and then again on Greenhouse.

**Recommendations to others considering Triplebyte:**

Think about all the time you would save if your team did not have to do technical screens. I highly recommend Triplebyte.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Technical screens take away a lot of time from our Engineers and with Triplebyte, our engineers do not have to spend as much time in the hiring process.

  ### 20. Great platform with great candidates who are ready-to-hire.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Braden H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2020

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

Candidates are easily scheduled via the Google Calendar integration. As a recruiter I can see what times work best and it auto-updates not only to the candidates profile but also the recruiters. If no times are available we are able to suggest multiple time slots for the candidate to choose from. The ability to source for different roles simultaneously posed great value as well. Since we had multiple positions open with vastly different requirements sourcing was easy with Triplebyte. Not to mention, the candidates that are on the platform went through a rigorous exam that we could trust having a technical bar met.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

The new layout is generally more difficult to initially understand. There should be a layover tutorial for recruiters to click next through to understand the changes. I wish, also, that there was more granular clarity on other companies in their offer-pipeline and those companies offer numbers. The biggest problem our org had was in closing Triplebyte candidates because there was so much ambiguity at the end of the process. If there was more information on the companies we are competing against or numbers that are proposed in the other offers we would have a more competitive edge.

**Recommendations to others considering Triplebyte:**

The only recommendation that I have is to identify the requirements by your org. Set-up Triplebyte with all the recruiters at the org and know that Triplebyte can and will bring great candidates who are ready-to-be-hired.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sourcing very qualified and ready-to-hire candidates, for one. Second, removing the recruiting coordinator that would be used to schedule calls.

  ### 21. Great for tech resources!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victoria T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

Love that these candidates opt in. I really love that these candidates are prescreened for certain technologies and skill sets. I love that candidates can let you know how interested they are in hearing about new opportunities.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

The filter options are getting better but they could still use some tweaking - I do find myself still looking through a lot of profiles to find exactly the right skillset. But this is a minor thing to dislike as I have seen these ability to filter candidates greatly improve over the past year. When we first started using the platform in Sept 2019 the technical write ups were way more detailed than they are not. You're lucky to get 1 sentence regarding the candidate when in the past there would be way more detail about the technical feedback on each candidate.

**Recommendations to others considering Triplebyte:**

It's far more affordable when you're looking to make multiple technical hires than using an agency. Plus you have the added benefit of candidates going through a technical screen.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's way easier to find candidates that are qualified for the roles I'm looking for. Great that candidates can like your company or your job so you know they've already spent some time reviewing what your engineering team is working on.

  ### 22. TripleByte is BY FAR the best self-serve platform for recruiting software engineers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gur B. | COO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

TripleByte's product (tool) is easy to use and provides a great deal of flexibility.
The available talent pool is outstanding, and in many cases, tested and evaluated, which is fantastic.
TripleByte offers outstanding service to hiring businesses like ours.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

There's nothing I can say I dislike about TripleByte. The one thing that we found a little tedious is the adherence to the hiring steps in the process, but in most cases, we simply moved our hiring process along, and then updated TripleByte as needed.

**Recommendations to others considering Triplebyte:**

Easily the best platform for a small tech company. Learn to trust the product and the outstanding people on the team who support it.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our obvious problem is hiring, especially in the Bay Area where competition is fierce.
We found that Triplebyte's platform has everything we need in one place: an intuitive tool for us to use, outstanding candidates, who are engaged in the process, and excellent customer service.

  ### 23. Excellent service

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

Selects for individuals who are looking for a job.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

Sometimes the profiles are a bit out of date, but I know they're working on that.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hiring. I've made 1 hire in a month and am close to a second.

  ### 24. Great Platform for finding talent.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

The scores for candidates help determine their success during the interview process.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

There is a lack of quantity on the platform.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving hiring problems in a competitve market.

  ### 25. Super helpful platform!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

The percentile of the candidate in specific categories we care about

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

Wish there was more people and diversirty

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Decrease hiring time and finding qualified candidates

  ### 26. Great for employees and employers!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kaylan H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2020

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

As an employer, Triplebyte serves as one of the most reliable sources for quality talent. We're given the opportunity to connect with fantastic candidates who have proven skillsets; people that we might otherwise miss in our sourcing efforts.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

While we're given the opportunity to connect with highly qualified active candidates, candidates are given the equal opportunity to interview with several companies at once. This is actually a positive on both sides - companies must do everything they can to provide a great candidate experience and stay competitive, all to the candidates' benefit.

**Recommendations to others considering Triplebyte:**

Stay competitive, give candidates a reason to join your team.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can find qualified, active candidates fast - Triplebyte cuts down on the assessment phase of our interview and expedites the whole process from sourcing to face-to-face interviews.

  ### 27. A no-hassle, full service platform to explore qualified engineers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jori V. | Talent Sourcer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2020

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

The flow and ease of use of the platform, the details provided about the candidate, clear descriptions of what the candidate has worked on and what they want in their next role. I love the time Triplebyte invests in interviewing their candidates. From each profile, I felt like I'd already had a clear sense of the candidate without having spoke to them! The messaging feature between the company and the candidates is seamless, and the ability to note multiple team members on a profile makes Triplebyte feel like an ATS.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

Sometimes hard to find very niche engineers. Depending on your companies' industry and complexity of your system, niche engineers will appear at a slower rate. Some hiring managers would like to give the candidate a technical interview, which Triplebyte doesn't allow as they've already vetted the candidates' technical capabilities. Sometimes hard to convince hiring managers that this is a value add, not a risk.

**Recommendations to others considering Triplebyte:**

If you're looking to increase the quality of your engineering interviews, reduce time to hire, and hire skilled engineers rapidly, Triplebyte is an asset. Really checks all the boxes: easy to use, candidates are responsive and qualified, easy to find gems, easy to format and post jobs, easy to source from, and you get excellent information on someone you'e never spoken to. You will be able to make highly informed decisions in the engineering hiring process using this platform.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed to reduce our time to hire engineers as well as increase our candidate quality. We hit a point where we had 15 or so senior engineering positions given to us, a recruiting team comprised of 2 coordinators and 1 manager acting as the sole recruiter for an entire high-growth phase startup. Triplebyte took so much off our shoulders - freeing up our time and allowing us to reinvest it into bringing quality into the company. On a personal note, I was new to engineering recruiting, and this platform helped me get used to the basics of software engineering recruiting.

  ### 28. Powerful, with still great potential.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2020

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

As a candidate, I most enjoyed the vetting process. It helped me understand my placement among the broader pool of candidates. The feedback after the technical test was immensely helpful.

I also enjoyed being able to focus on companies that we eagerly looking for candidates.

I enjoyed communicating directly with the companies, and not a recruiter.

---

From the hiring standpoint. I think the search features are wonderful. The grading system makes it easy to compare candidates. There were, however candidates with only partial profile, I wish those could have been filtered out.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

I recall Triplebyte leveraging some approaches to help remove bias in the vetting process. I did find however, the candidate pool to be very homogeneous. I understand the industry is bias as a field, but I had anticipated a more representative list of candidates.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I enjoy being able to look for candidates, rather than waiting for the candidates to come to us.

  ### 29. Good Overall Experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alyson L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2020

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

Triplebyte makes sourcing technical talent a lot easier as we can set preferences.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

When scheduling triplebyte intro calls, it doesn't give us much autonomy. For example, we are not allowed to edit the schedule except cancel/reschedule.

**Recommendations to others considering Triplebyte:**

I think Triplebyte is a great technical sourcing resource and it definitely makes sourcing for engineering roles a lot more efficient and you would be able encounter a higher volume of candidates. Also it is incredibly efficient because the technical requirements that we assess in the technical phone screen are already provided in the candidate profile so there is no need for this step in the interview process.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are getting a higher volume in candidates.

  ### 30. Great source of great software engineers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

Triplebyte cuts down on the time it normally takes to get to a final interview with a candidate by providing testing and evaluation before the candidate is available in their system. Filtering becomes more meaningful than wading through resumes, as Triplebyte has provided more detailed filters that matter to identifying candidates who are right for us.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

Filtering on candidates who are passively looking has improved but has not provided the same level of seamlessness that the core service provides.

**Recommendations to others considering Triplebyte:**

I recommend Triplebyte as a solid source of software engineers who can be hired much faster thanks to Triplebyte's service.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hiring smart and fast for a startup building a distributed software engineering team.

  ### 31. The best way to hire software engineers!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Will H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

Finding great software engineers is *really* hard. Resumes don't tell you much (anything?) about someone's actual abilities, and cold outbounding is damn near impossible. TripleByte solves both problems at once, providing you a list of easily sortable engineers who are actively looking for new roles. Cuts time to hire in half and increases quality significantly.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

The Lever integration could use a bit of love, but that's a small issue.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use TB as the sole way to hire software engineers. We find great, hidden talent and can move quickly, which is essential when hiring software engineers.

  ### 32. Great candidates, diverse sources, and smooth process

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

We love that Triplebyte helps us find candidates who are strong on the dimensions we care about. Triplebyte's especially good at helping us identify candidates with non-traditional backgrounds who deserve our attention because of their skill. The Triplebyte process is quite smooth as well, and we save time by skipping all the pre-onsite stages for Triplebyte candidates since they're vetted by Triplebyte before we even meet them.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

Candidates on Triplebyte tend to be in high demand - so success on Triplebyte requires a really effective interview process that shows off your company in the best light.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Triplebyte helps us higher a strong, diverse team faster.

  ### 33. Great service - source many high quality candidates

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2020

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

The quality of the candidates. We did not connect with any candidates that were obviously bad, as we did frequently from other sources. Most of the candidates are top not coders.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

There can be a lot of competition for the candidates. They receive numerous offers, so it can be a bit more difficult to close.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sourcing good candidates. It has saved us a ton of time avoiding candidates that look great on paper but can't write simple code. Most of our strongest candidates have come through TripleByte or internal referrals.

  ### 34. Triplebyte connects you with top talent and streamlines the interview process

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2020

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

I like the quick and easy scheduling and candidate interests / what they are looking for in their next role. It also connects you directly with strong candidates and streamlines the scheduling process.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

I don't like that the experience portion in their profile is not up to date a lot of the time. I come across Source candidates who started a new role rather recently, preventing me from reaching out, but I wouldn't know this if I didn't go to their LinkedIn profile.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Triplebyte assessments ensure that you only interview candidates with the skills you are looking for. I also love how easy it is to connect to candidates directly, rather than waiting for them to answer an email.

  ### 35. Vetted candidates presented in a non-overwhelming fashion

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

Great descriptions/insights of candidates' abilities, what they're looking for, their background, strengths, and weaknesses.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

Their number grading system makes no sense. Not based off an absolute scale (unsure what it's actually based off of).

**Recommendations to others considering Triplebyte:**

No specific recommendations.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sourcing people with a good baseline of competency. Great funnel. Good way to find people with certain interests.

  ### 36. TripleByte

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2020

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

I like being able to schedule pitch calls pretty easily with interviewers and candidates. Makes it pretty seamless.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

I don't like how there isn't a great way to search for candidate names in case you need to find someone.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hiring technical talent is a problem being solved and the benefits realized are reduced cycle times.

  ### 37. Triplebyte has been fruitful for our org

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

The UI--very easy to use. The platform presents all the necessary information in an organized manner and it's easy to maneuver through.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

When using the platform, we are allotted the "Fast-Track" list. For some reason, the list doesn't update with the newly added candidates on top, it tends to show the same candidates over.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Triplebyte provides an targeted bunch of candidates considered to be "low-hanging fruit" as they are already screened and are made up of a higher quality talent pool. The candidates on Triplebyte are generally very responsive.

  ### 38. Great service to find undiscovered engineering talent

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2020

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

Ability to source and reach out to candidates, filtering and search criteria. Ability to manage the process (reach out, schedule interview, make offer, etc)

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

Takes quite a bit of effort to find candidates.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have hired two great engineers (not from central casting) through triplebyte

  ### 39. Best platform for engineering talent

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

Technically vetted candidates with intuitive UI

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

The UI between Source and Fast track candidates is confusing

**Recommendations to others considering Triplebyte:**

Consider a year long contract with them especially if you are planning to hire a few people over a 12mo period

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hiring engineering talent

  ### 40. Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2020

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

It allows you to see the status of candidates easily.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

I'm not certain on how to set up alerts for candidate changes.

**Recommendations to others considering Triplebyte:**

N/A

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're solving our hiring issue needs. Benefits of a one stop shop platform is great.

  ### 41. Highly recommended!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2020

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

High-quality candidates, great customer service.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

There are no downsides to using Triplebyte.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TB helps me to filter out the top-quality candidates.

  ### 42. Good source for additional candidates, need more clarity into screen process

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucy X. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2020

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

Large selection of candidates to sort, customizable by role

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

Would like to see stronger filter and reporting functionality.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building pipeline

  ### 43. Triplebyte is great!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

Triplebyte provides a lot of specific information about candidates' technical proficiency, which makes it more helpful than similar recruiting platforms.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

There isn't a dedicated way to search candidates based on keywords, so I often have to wait for Triplebyte to add more candidates throughout the week.

The passive pipeline feature is a bit naive at the moment and I would like additional functionality here. Response rates also seem to be abysmally low compared to other platforms.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Triplebyte helps provide more information about candidates before requesting a call, which saves recruiters time and can, in some cases, increase confident when bringing someone onsite.

  ### 44. Triplebyte is the gold standard in engineering hiring

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

Triplebyte is the highest quality engineering hiring service out there and we have tried them all (e.g. Hired, Vettery, Angel List, etc. etc.). Triplebyte consistently has the highest quality candidates (we have already hired two folks).

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

The scoring in Triplebyte could be improved (often doesn't correlate well with performance as we subjectively judge in interviews). Specifically needs a better score for "CS Fundamentals"

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Triplebyte has made engineering hiring easier for us. So far we have hired a founding engineer and full stack engineer from Triplebyte.

  ### 45. The best programmer hiring resource I've found

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2019

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

They vet the candidates for me. They write up the candidates and give them scores. The placement fees are reasonable so the value for the money is excellent.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

They discourage my doing a follow-up phone screening, they want me to go directly to an onsite interview.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hiring quality programmers. On most platforms, I get a lot of unqualified programmers, but triplebyte can screen them for me.

  ### 46. Incredibly useful for identifying exceptional but uncredentialed individuals

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2019

**What do you like best about Triplebyte?**

The vetting seems to work quite well for identifying strong engineers who would otherwise be dismissed by traditional resume criteria and whiteboard style interviews.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte?**

The numerical scale seems to be hit or miss or inconsistent, even in the same batch.

**What problems is Triplebyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hiring is hard. Triplebyte increases the size of the funnel while increasing conversion and decreasing wasted effort.
