Trimble TMS is more than just a load-entry tool. It supports the full flow from order capture through execution, visibility, billing, settlement, and reporting. That breadth matters because transportation teams often lose efficiency when dispatch, accounting, customer service, EDI, and reporting are split across separate systems instead of working together. Legacy feel in some workflows

My main concern with TruckMate is that certain workflows can feel a bit dated compared with newer, cloud-native platforms. For companies trying to move quickly with APIs, a modern UX, automation, and self-service configuration, parts of the overall experience may come across as more traditional and more dependent on specialized knowledge. The most helpful thing about Trimble is that it is easy to keep track of our fleet of trucks and to keep our drivers compliant with DOT regulations. Trimble TMS has a wide array of customizations built-in to the product, which allow us to fine-tune the most minute details to fit the workflows of our transportation enterprise. The front-end can be customized through the use of menu securities, field validations, and custom views that allow us to set what each type of user has access to easily. The software itself looks and feels outdated. It's based on older technology that gives it a more mid-2000s look and feel. The applications do have some obscure bugs that come up and get patched in later releases. The design is very outdated. It could use some updating to help make it look better, as the design can be overwhelming with the amount of information there is to look at. The page doesn't automatically refresh, so it can be frustrating working on a load that has already been booked because I need to make sure I am constantly refreshing the page.
