**What do you like best about Toptal?**

I’ve had the chance to work with more than 60 clients who were carefully chosen to match my working style. Toptal takes care of the client and takes care of the talent, which makes you feel in good hands all the time. I don’t have to worry about contracts, payments, or any other business aspect, which lets me focus on the best I do—design.

**What do you dislike about Toptal?**

Nothing bad about it. I'm pretty happy with the company, the projects, and the opportunities they give me. I would recommend them 100 times and choose them again.

**What do you like best about Toptal?**

Toptal is great for helping talents to find the best clients and handle all the extra work in the middle. Moreover, they are also helping to improve talents with internal training.

**What do you dislike about Toptal?**

The only downside I can say is that since we are always with different clients, we cannot have paid vacations. It may be included in long-term contracts.

**What problems is Toptal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are finding the best clients to work with according to our preferences, tech skills and hourly rate expectations. They are handling payments so we don't have to deal with clients for urging payments or we don't have any delayed payments. If we had any problem, they are always close to help us.

Services and support from the Toptal team are just incredible. Besides, you can find the project that may be in your best interest, there are a lot of opportunities.

I did not see any downsides of using this platform SO FAR.

I can work anywhere I want, and my income is relatively high compared to others.

I like that toptal cares about its community and guide you through the journey from start to finish. The quality of work in the organization is also on of the best

Finding gigs is hard and it seems now the company is aiming for more users and not so the top people. I feel the market is too crowded at this point and is hard to get more gigs.

I like they handle the administration part of my career and for the most part and I get to focus on the most important part which is my work.

Toptal makes the life of developers easier as they handle everything and care about their developers. They have great rates that you can comfortably live in any country worldwide.

**What do you dislike about Toptal?**

Not always easy to find an engagement quickly. But I have specific expertise in my field, and I think that is the main reason.

**What problems is Toptal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They handle the payment process and legal sides, I think that is the most powerful and comfortable side for me. 
They have an active and highly talented network worldwide

**What do you like best about Toptal?**

What is unique about Toptal is that once you pass the initial screening process, you can focus on doing only what you love without worrying about payments and finding work. Toptal does all this for you. Great benefits for education and learning and a very responsive support team make everything work seamlessly.

**What do you dislike about Toptal?**

The screening process is necessary to guarantee quality, but from a freelancer's point of view, it takes such a long time that you start to question whether it is worth it.

Toptal is solving problems of finding good clients that need complex things finished. Toptal is also handling payments and client satisfaction. Toptal also supports me in the working process and gives me education opportunities.

- Doesn´t have a vacations plans since you are a freelancer and work by project. I am fine with that but it will be awesome If we have like at least a week per year paid for it.

They are changing the way we receive our Wires and now it is very fast to actually have the money in our account.Toptal is also helping me out to work on my free time and earn extra money which is great.

**What do you like best about Toptal?**

I have been a freelancer for over 15 years and have had the opportunity to work with many different clients. I have found that Toptal is one of the best talent networks available. It is a steady source of quality work and great clientele. I have been able to find consistent work through Toptal and have never had any issues with clients. I would recommend Toptal to any freelancer looking for quality work.

**What do you dislike about Toptal?**

Sometimes the expectations on the client side are unrealistic. But, I guess, it comes down to better communications, which are key, as always. 🤷

Finding quality clients is always a challenge for a freelancer. Toptal solves that. Simple.

**What do you like best about Toptal?**

Toptal does all the legwork for you that otherwise would have consumed a lot of your time - finding leads, vetting clients, securing payments - so that you could focus on what you can do best as a professional.

**What do you dislike about Toptal?**

I wish there were a bit more transparency on the fee structure and rate negotiations while interviewing as well as during the engagement.  In the long-term engagement, you may end up being locked into a rate much lower than your market value without a clear path to making an adjustment, even though both the client and the freelancer have a mutual understanding that the time is right.

**What problems is Toptal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Through TopTal the freelancer has the reach to hundreds of different clients and projects, all aggregated in an easy-to-use dashboard. You pick and choose what you want to work on (given, of course, that you pass the interview with the client). Also being part of TopTal network improves your visibility outside the network through TopTal's outreach and gives you the clout of a "certified" professional in your field.

**What do you like best about Toptal?**

Using the Toptal platform is incredibly intuitive, and the customer service is second to none. The onboarding process is swift and efficient.

**What do you dislike about Toptal?**

The only thing I wish was a little different was more clarity for a short-term contract about having to give ten days' notice to end the engagement. I have ended up scheduling a long break until the end of the contract so I don't have to pay for when my contractor has finished the product.

Finding the right engineer at the right price fast. It has enabled us to build our product much faster and get it out to our customers.

The most helpful thing about toptal is just the client selection.

**What do you dislike about Toptal?**

How rates are communicated, there is more demand than supply when it comes to job offerings; because the network is more extensive, it's harder to start with a client. 2019 I landed a job because of the slow process, and there were few non-clients.

**What problems is Toptal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Just the client discovery process and the legal, however, I haven't used these services and hope not to use them, but know for some cases and this is a great bonus for freelancers

**What do you like best about Toptal?**

Toptal is an awesome platform where you can work directly with enterprise-level clients. 
Talent can easily grow here career-wise and also can update his skills through the learning portals and certification programs.

**What do you dislike about Toptal?**

There is nothing much that I would have disliked yet about the Toptal. 
If there is any flaw in the system, these guys keep putting their effort to make this platform the best of all.

Toptal is cutting out the middle man in the freelance industries and making talents work hand in hand with the client. 
The system is well organized and I have seen it only allows the clients to join who have a reasonable budget for their work.

A stringent and tough recruitment process that ensures ONLY the best are hired.
Professional jobs are advertised for their freelancers that require real experience and knowledge.
Payments are hassle free.

**What do you dislike about Toptal?**

Sometimes too few job opportunities for a particular skill-set.
Matchers are not always forthcoming with feedback as to why they never put you forward to a client for a job.

The number of available jobs is great. The quality of projects is pretty high too. Most of the jobs have great flexibility in work schedules. Payments are always on time.
Another great thing is the Toptal community, where you can discuss ideas, get help with technical problems, and also be able to develop professional skills.

Frequently changing project owners from Toptal's end makes freelancers have to explain the background of project/client history every time there is a need to adjust projects.
The vetting process is a bit debated, where sometimes very talented people are left out.

Reliability of remote work is a major problem every freelancer has to go through. Toptal solves this specific problem. You can find jobs of your desired length, I have worked on the same project for many years.
Another big problem in the freelance world is the ability to learn new skills when you freelance. I have seen people needing to do jobs with very specific skills to have a reliable income. But with Toptal, you can look for projects which are a good fit for your current skills, but also offer great learning opportunities.

There are several clients who do now know what they want. I faced some clients whose plans are not ready. In that case, it will be hard to work with them and plans change every time. I consider that one a waste of time for both developer and client.

The best part of Toptal is access to interesting jobs. It's also convenient that they handle all the billing. They also help iron out differences when the client and I have misunderstandings. Since my last review, they have added the possibility of getting guidance about setting rates; I previously mentioned that this would be a useful addition.

Working with well known companies, interesting projects, timely payments and great people from different parts of the world. Feel as a part of bigger and international family.

**What do you dislike about Toptal?**

Quite bureaucratic, even if you see you are a good fit to the client your profile is not introduced. Clients can terminate you without notice, no pipeline planning of projects is available.
