"Simple All-in-One Hub That Saves Agency Owners Time"
5/5
What do you like best about Timeliner?

I like that Timeliner is simple and easy to use, and keeps tools like Frame.io and Notion in one place. I use it for my client tasks and project management, and it keeps everything smooth and clean. I can send a video straight from my editor to the client without being the middle hand, which saves me a lot of time. There aren’t many glitches, and when one comes up, they solve it quickly. The setup was really easy: I can create new brands in about a minute, and there’s an intro that shows me how everything works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Timeliner?

I’ve noticed maybe one or two glitches, but they fix them quickly, so it hasn’t been an issue. The website on my phone is a little slow, and I’d appreciate a mobile app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Replaced Frame.io and Notion for our editing team"
5/5
What do you like best about Timeliner?

Timeliner replaced both Frame.io and Notion for us. It's a platform built specifically for video editors and the whole production team, so everything lives in one place. We save a lot of time not jumping between multiple apps, and projects stay really organised from brief to final delivery. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Timeliner?

It's still in its early stages, so a few parts of the UI could be tidied up. They're very minor issues though, and they don't get in the way of day to day use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Faster feedback with our editor"
5/5
What do you like best about Timeliner?

Frame-accurate comments straight on the timeline. Our editor sees exactly which second I mean, so feedback rounds went from three or four back-and-forths on WhatsApp to one clean pass. The approve/revise flow is simple enough that a freelancer picks it up without any explanation, and it's a lot lighter and cheaper than Frame.io, which is what a small team actually needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Timeliner?

Integrations are thin. I'd like a direct hook into Google Drive or Notion so approved cuts land where our workflow already lives instead of downloading and re-uploading. Storage on the base plan also fills up fast when you're reviewing a lot of ad variations, so you're managing old versions more than you'd want. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Interface, Fast Setup, and Outstanding Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Timeliner?

The functions and layout of the interface are extremely easy to understand and get to work quickly. I was able to set up my production company in just a couple of days. I can quickly see status of all projects at a glance which is exactly what I wanted. The integration with Google Drive and other apps is very helpful since that's how we're already working. The performance seems very good with little to no lag while navigating the interface. The support I received so far has been amazing including a welcome call only a few days after I started the trial. The AI chatbot assistant is probably the best I've used on an app so far! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Timeliner?

I haven't found anything that I dislike. At first I thought there might be some limitations as far as categories and project status stages but after the welcome call they set me straight about how to use those features and I like it better than what I initially thought I wanted. "Fast, Clean All-in-One Platform for Video Workflows with Outstanding Support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Timeliner?

I like how the platform combines at least 3 separate tools into 1, but not in a gimmicky way that isn't actually useful. This works and is perfect for video workflows and more.

I also like how it integrates with social platforms and they are still adding more. Plus I can connect my AI agent via MCP to help manage tasks. The interface is fast and clean and the organization of folders, brands, subfolders, and projects is intuitive.

They also worked with us on a custom plan as we needed something between the entry level and agency plan. We will absolutely upgrade as we flesh out our team. The onboarding and support calls have been outstanding and I love how they have taken my feedback seriously as they build out their product roadmap. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Timeliner?

The tasks are currently all focused around media or documents. The platform doesn't really work as a full task manager in the same way. Also, you can't customize columns just for that specific project, the custom column becomes a global value. Not a dealbreaker, just something good to know before you dive in. But also knowing the team, they may read this and make an update before long. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One-Stop Agency Hub, Though Storage and Learning Curve Remain"
4/5
What do you like best about Timeliner?

I love that Timeliner blocks additional revisions unless they’re approved. It helps me keep track of something that otherwise often gets overlooked. I also love having project management and uploads in one place. It was cheaper than using a mix of tools, and it’s better to have everything in one. There are a ton of explainer videos, which help with the learning curve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Timeliner?

I find the storage capacity quite tight, especially when I produce a lot of high-quality, long-form content. I’m also missing a Notion-like notes database where I can draft briefs, moodboards, storyboards, and ideas, so I can’t replace Notion just yet. Timeliner has a bit of a learning curve, and some things aren’t as self-explanatory as they first seem, though the explainer videos help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Your All-in-One Solution for Efficient Production"
5/5
What do you like best about Timeliner?

I love that Timeliner is a one-stop shop for our internal team workspace and a general CRM tool. It's great for our editing team to upload and review edits and has a brilliant comparison feature for revisions. I appreciate that all edits get supervisor approval before being sent to clients, making it a comprehensive platform. It eliminated our dependency on multiple Google Docs and Sheets by centralizing everything for pre-production and post-production needs. The platform saves us time from downloading and re-uploading into frame, keeping everything in one place and shareable with the client. It significantly boosts our organization and efficiency in getting videos client-ready. We find the UI extremely intuitive, and the tutorials, along with the AI chatbot feature, really enhance the experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Timeliner?

I think Timeliner could have more transparency when it comes to sharing approved links for client downloads. This would help streamline our process and improve the user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Boosts Video Production Collaboration Effortlessly"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Timeliner?

I appreciate that Timeliner makes collaborating with our employees, editors, and clients much easier. It simplifies understanding client revisions with visual guides compared to other production management tools online. This speeds up our deliverables and enhances remote work convenience. I love that Timeliner reaches out to us to see what they can improve, and the automation features help us get things done quicker. The initial setup was great because Timeliner provided instructions, making it easy for our team to adjust in about a week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Timeliner?

I find it challenging that creating an intake form from the client's perspective is not very visible or easy to see when we need to create a new order. I'd like it to be more visible on the client side. Also more accessibility for the client to have anyone in their workgroup access the intake form. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All-in-One Video Workflow: Time-Coded Feedback and Approvals Made Easy"
5/5
What do you like best about Timeliner?

Timeliner has made managing our video production workflow much easier. Before using it, we were constantly switching between WhatsApp, Google Drive, and different project management tools to keep track of clients, editors, revisions, and deadlines.

What I like most is having everything in one place. Clients can review videos, leave time-coded feedback, and approve content without endless back-and-forth messages. It also makes it much easier to keep track of projects and see what needs to be done.

The platform is very easy to understand and has saved us a lot of time and unnecessary communication. There are still a few areas that could be improved, especially around the overall smoothness of the platform, but considering how much easier it has made our workflow, I would definitely recommend Timeliner to video production and content agencies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Timeliner?

Learning curve: It takes a little time to understand all the features and set up your workflow properly.

Interface: Some areas could feel more polished and intuitive, especially when managing a large number of projects.

Notifications: The notification system could be more customizable so you can control exactly what you get alerted about.

Client experience: The client-facing side is good, but there could be more customization options for branding and how clients interact with projects.

Mobile experience: The mobile experience could be improved for people who need to manage projects while away from their computer.

Integrations: More integrations with other tools would make it easier to fit Timeliner into an existing production workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Game-Changer for Video Production Management"
5/5
What do you like best about Timeliner?

I use Timeliner for managing video projects and it has become an essential part of my video production company. It lets me send videos to clients and manage video projects effectively with my editors, ensuring quality and streamlining feedback and review processes with clients. The software centralizes all our workflows into one place, saving me a lot of time by allowing me to see all projects at a glance. It also helps me understand what clients want, adding a sense of professionalism to our approach in producing videos. Timeliner has all the features I can dream of, and whenever I think of a new feature, it's already available in the app. Their support team is really open and supportive. It provides solutions I didn't realize I needed and adds structure, which is crucial for scaling my business in the video industry. I appreciate its comprehensive tools for management, quality assurance, client expectations, briefings, thumbnails, and comments. It's got everything for client direction, client portal assets, and communication. I also like that it brings depth with its complexity and the various settings that allow me to manage notifications efficiently. The initial setup was pretty easy, and with the help of the support team, I became proficient within a week. I've given it a 10 out of 10 for recommendations and have already recommended Timeliner to many people. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Timeliner?

I find it more beta than an established software like Frame.io. Because they are adding new features and growing very fast, I'm staying with them. It's a web browser app, so until it's an actual app, it can be difficult to use on my phone or laptop, and I always have to log in. Managing everything with the many switches and toggles can get overwhelming at times, even though it offers a lot of depth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
