Tickin Reviews & Product Details

Tickin is a comprehensive human resources (HR) and workforce management platform designed to integrate seamlessly into the tools that teams already use daily, such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, and web browsers. By embedding HR functionalities directly into these platforms, Tickin eliminates the need for additional applications, streamlining processes like time tracking, attendance, leave management, and payroll. One of Tickin's core features is its time tracking and attendance system. Employees can clock in and out directly from Slack, the browser, or the optional desktop app. The platform allows organizations to set office hours, working days, and time zones, ensuring that sessions, hours, and daily breakdowns are tracked automatically without the need for manual timesheets. Breaks can be toggled with simple commands, and Tickin pauses the work timer accordingly, subtracting break time from worked hours to maintain accurate records. Additionally, the platform offers overtime detection; when an employee clocks out past the configured daily threshold, Tickin sends a direct message prompting the employee to either continue recording as overtime or cap the session. This ensures that overtime is intentional and properly documented. For leave management, Tickin provides a system where employees can request leave directly within Slack or Microsoft Teams. Managers receive these requests in context and can approve or decline them with a single tap. The platform automatically tracks leave balances and integrates them into attendance and payroll reports, reducing administrative overhead and minimizing errors associated with manual tracking. Payroll processing is another integral component of Tickin. The platform calculates salary, deductions, and overtime, allowing organizations to run payroll for a completed month with just a few clicks. Employers can preview every figure before sending itemized PDF salary slips to employees, ensuring transparency and accuracy in compensation. Tickin also offers project and task management features. Teams can organize work into projects and drag tasks across stages such as To Do, In Progress, and Done. Tasks can be enriched with priorities, due dates, multiple assignees, labels, and checklists. Time can be logged against any task, with a two-stage approval process involving the team lead and admin. This integration ensures that billable and accountable time is tied directly to the projects and tasks within the workspace. The platform emphasizes trust over surveillance. Productivity monitoring is optional and disabled by default. If enabled, it provides insights into app and website usage by category, day-by-day breakdowns, week-over-week trends, and CSV exports. Importantly, breaks and idle time are never captured, admins are never tracked, and on macOS, no screenshots are taken unless the employee grants permission. Tickin's Chat Command Center brings HR functionalities directly into Slack and Microsoft Teams. A single command allows employees to clock in and out, take breaks, request leave, and check their leave balance. Managers can approve leave and attendance corrections, view team dashboards, and receive scheduled reports, all without leaving their chat platform. This integration ensures that HR processes are embedded into the daily workflows of teams, enhancing adoption and reducing friction. For organizations that require on-site attendance verification, Tickin offers GPS attendance verification. By entering the office address, the platform geocodes it and draws a geofence around it. Clock-ins inside the radius are accepted, while those outside are blocked or flagged for review, ensuring that attendance records are accurate and reliable. In summary, Tickin provides a robust and integrated solution for HR and workforce management, embedding essential functionalities directly into the tools teams use daily. By focusing on seamless integration, automation, and trust, Tickin simplifies HR processes, enhances accuracy, and improves the overall employee experience.
