It gets very granular about things that run on the endpoint and provides great insight to what's happening in our environment. We use it as a way to blacklist unwanted applications from running and provide evidence that only approved applications run in our environment. It can help address multiple areas of the endpoint such as storage controls, network controls, and config controls. It is a light agent that deploys to machines and they have a large library of built in applications. The learning mode will catch most and then you just have to fine tune from there. The support for getting onboarded into the platform and ongoing has been excellent. The people I have worked with at Threat Locker have been super helpful and knowledgeable about the product. **What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?** The most frustrating thing for me using threat locker was actually working with the people in my company to use standardized naming conventions. Threat Locker gets really granular about applications and what runs. In a development environment where different developers name folders differently it made it more difficult to implement. We spent a longtime trying to create a bespoke Windows OS with all the rubbish locked down, but each time MS updated their ISO we would then need to spend more time. For a small UK non-profit this was a massive task and something we could not afford. WIth TL we can gather what is installed on our machines and either allow or deny based on the business need, therefore we can easily integrate Zero Trust into our enviroment. The agent takes very little resources and once the machines went through their 'learning' the implementation of rules was so easy. TL became a Firewall for apps and made it easy to stop the use of Windows Mail which a lot of users were using for the email instead of Outlook. The more use the better visability you have and I am often using the platform with a view to ensuring our business is a secure as possible. Using various features to permit RDP to certain users, from certain machines means that internally we have a level of security thats so granular. There have been times where I need support because something wasn't quite right and having the ability to talk to cyberheros (Threatlocker support) meant I was able to get a prompt resolution and quite often this was a configuration error that I had made. Almost instantly get a CyberHero to talk to and will also take over your machine if needed. **What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?** I personally do not see any downside to Threatlocker. **What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** Shadow IT is a big problem, where users download a solution on to their devices without fully understanding the risks involved, having ThreatLocker installed has meant we can stop this behaviour dead in its tracks, the users dont like this, but now we have a solution to stop or allow software and will instigate a change request so the users manager is aware of whats going on. ### 7. The fact that I'm able to sleep at night knowing my client's systems are completely locked down as well as my internal systems. Threatlocker is a no-brainer. You literally deploy it through your RMM with a simple script and viola! The support from the Cyber Heros is unmatched in our industry. It's probably better than the support I provide my own clients, to be honest. The amount of things you can control with this software is ridiculous. The team I have assigned to me has been nothing short of a blessing. Don't think about it, just get it. You'll thank me later. **What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?** Absolutely nothing! (There is a minimum character amount so I have to write this sentence) **What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** Threatlocker helps protect all of our endpoints internally and externally from threats internally and externally. We're able to keep unwanted programs off of the endpoints whether they're nefarious or not. This keeps things running efficiently and safely. So the ultimate problem that Threatlocker is solving for me is a peaceful night's sleep. And that is worth every penny. ### 32. You have to make sure you onboard this product the right way so that your user environment understands this way of thinking and the need for such an approach in this day and age. Not a dislike at all, just something you need to know when you are planning this project. **What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** Allowing for more robust protection for our endpoints so that programs are limited in what other resources they can initiate, only allowed software can run on our endpoints , removal of admin writes from our computers except for products we have approved, network control, and USB control with ability to whitelist in seconds. ### 38. Their response times and technical knowledge is unheard of in our industry. Second of all, the product is amazing. We all understand that there is money yet protection than white/allow listing but it is usually hard to implement and manage. With Threatlocker it become much easier. Besides that it has plenty of additional functionality like ring fencing, network control, storage control, etc. Thai is all managed by one single agent!!
