  ### 2. Threatlocker is how MSP's sleep at night.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dawn S. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2022

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

ZeroTrust isn't easy to architect. ThreatLocker takes the burden off and does the heavy lifting for you.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

You have to know what you're doing in the software to be effective.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ZeroTrust architecture is becoming a standard. ThreatLocker allows you to conform to the standard with one product inside your network and on your endpoints.

  ### 3. Pretty great software for security settings that aren't focused on regularly

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John W. | IT Support Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2022

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I like being able to elevate nonthreatening software or updates for non-admin users. I like the amount of control offered on a per-application basis, as well as the explanation and reasoning behind it that ThreatLocker offers. Their University site is very effective and has many guides and images to assist with instruction (not to mention the videos beneath each). Their support team is also incredibly fast to respond.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The differences between the Installation and Learning Modes are a bit harder to understand and distinguish between, and diving into the software initially is a bit of a challenge to overcome, but it seems like once you get the hang of it and set up your systems it gets easier to manage.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have several clients that aren't as excited about calling in for administrative credentials when they need to update software or deal with programs that have to run with admin rights. This software allows us to restrict user rights back to the required levels but still run software with elevated permissions. We can also use ThreatLocker to focus on limiting what will happen when a client is attacked rather than having to restore a complete system.

  ### 4. A Review of ThreatLocker

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Randy J. | Managing Member, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2022

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I am still getting to know and understand the product. Overall it seems to be good, with a few things that make it a little awkward. I like the sense of security that the program gives me, especially knowing that other people are less vigilant than I am, are protected from themselves. The approval process for new programs works quite well, and the support is excellent!

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I ran the program in audit mode for a couple of weeks, hoping to catch everything that I normally use, but a month later I couldn't get putty to run. I couldn't understand what was going on and then I remembered, Threatlocker! I was not getting the pop up, I had to go look at the icon in my taks bar and select it to see the notice. For most end-users this can be problematic or worrisome. I also get popups everytime I launch FireFox telling me about some add-in that I don't care about, but it does get annoying that it pops up everytime!

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, it is knowing that the computer is safe from illicit garbage that is so prevalent today. I am a very experienced computer user and IT professional, but every once in a while, I get surprised by something, and it is nice having a backstop like ThreatLocker!

  ### 5. Excellent Product -- Always Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Whit T. | Director of IT, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2022

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I love the storage policies that I've been able to create to enforce strict USB denial policies. The app whitelisting/blacklisting works beatifully

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I haven't found an abundance of use out the NAC, but it is in beta so I don't hold it against them

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Protecting my users from unwanted/malicious programs as well as protecting me from insider threats using USBs

  ### 6. Great addition to your security stack to help defend against the initial compromise.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh E. | IT Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2022

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Prevents end-users from randomly installing whatever they want. Works with browser extensions and Windows apps. Also, the ability to select grants elevated permissions to a single application like a security camera program.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

It can be a little confusing when a program is ringfenced on trying to figure out what you need to allow for it to work. When waiting for a change a min feels so long. Also, marketing may be a little bold which causes some pushback in the community.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps in preventing initial compromise by restricting the user. Gives me the ability to remove administrator rights from users the needed it for a specific application.

  ### 7. Unexpectedly Great Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dimitri R. | Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2022

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The weely audit review calls that we have scheduled help us tremendously. We have had help and advice every step of the way from the time we were evaluating ThreatLocker through today where we have it deployed to many, many clients and is a standard part of our security package offering.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

There are improvements to the interface that I feel could be made in order to make some things more clear. That said, with the level of support being offered by ThreatLocker, it doesn't really matter.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to stop people from running unknown and unauthorized software, we are able to take away local administrative permissions from users and utilize the elevation control, and we are better able to protect our clients systems!

  ### 8. Application control can be challenging and ThreatLocker made it surprisingly easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ian B. | Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 27, 2021

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

ThreatLocker makes it possible to centrally deploy and manage application control across many customers and many endpoints, and avoids the complexity we found with alternatives. Support has been responsive, and in most cases answers are available almost immediately via chat. They also have lots of great training videos, which really helps with getting administrators up to speed quickly. Best of all, there are ongoing improvements to the product, so it keeps getting better.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

As a relatively new solution, it is a diamond that still needs some polish, such as the interface and some improved reporting functionality, but there is a constant stream of improvements, so I am confident these things will be addressed.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a practical and affordable application control solution, and ThreatLocker was the only one that could deliver. ThreatLocker has greatly enhanced our Managed Security Services Provider offering, which has been the main benefit.

  ### 9. Providing piece of mind to the MSP

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** William H. | President & Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2022

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Threat Locker provides us a level of comfort knowing end-user devices are locked down. They are providing a ring-fence around potential threats not just by the EU but by vendor tools that may be a risk (i.e RMM Agents).

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Inherently it is a heavy lift to deploy. Threat Locker support has done all that they can to ease this burden through training and resources to us, but by nature, there is a lot of itnervention needed on our part to successfully launch to minimize user interruptions.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Risk mitigation of potential supply chain attacks via our MSP tools (i.e RMM). Additionally, providing managed EU restrictions to elevation requests and external devices.

  ### 10. ThreatLocker is the BEST solution for application control (app whitelisting) on Windows environments

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David B. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2022

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Fast and easy to deply via our RMM tool. The interface is fairly clean and easy to use. We love how we can completely secure a client... NOTHING can run that isn't on the approved list.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The web interface can slow down from time to time... perhaps to many people using the platform? Also, it only supports Windows, no support for Mac (thought I hear that's coming soon!).

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We simply needed a scalable way to shut down unauthorized apps in our client environment. This has been the best solution we've found. We've rolled it out to 40+ accounts with no headaches!

  ### 11. Access Control is Your Friend

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** DeShawn D. | Senior Network Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2022

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I like the visibility and control that the platform gives myself and other technicians in our organization. It enables us to see what an application or process is trying to do, why, and decide if it should or shouldn't be allowed.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I don't not like that I have to press the Apply Policy button after each change to a policy I have entered. Other than that, it has been great so far.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving problems with over-privileged apps. We have found that there are programs or processes that have had too much access to resources before Threatlocker.

  ### 12. Amazing Software package

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daryl C. | System Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2022

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The zero trust architecture that Threatlocker uses as their business model. It really helps lock down our critical environments while giving us much peace of mind.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The user interface could be more intuitive, but the benefits from using the product do outweigh those downsides, as I'm sure that a few dev cycles will implement newer UIs.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

IT has helped greatly in covering our ass in terms of security. We've moved from another product that worked amazing for the time, but for the sake of the business, had to move onward to the future of secuirty

  ### 13. Zero Trust Made Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Louis H. | NOC/Automation Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2022

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Threat locker makes it very easy to monitor requests and build policies off of them, whether it's just some remote vendor software you need to allow through for a day, or a tool your MSP uses you need to allow through on a 100 workstations.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The UI could use a little work. It has that "made in the early 2000s, generic winforms" feel to it. It doesn't necessary limit usability, but it does feel like I'm using dated software.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zero Trust covers a lot of holes that other security options leave open.

  ### 14. Game changer in the industy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian B. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2022

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Threatlocker eliminates the risk posed by any end-users with elevated privileges. We have seen amazing product advancement over the last 2 years. The product support team has been absolutely stellar.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

One item that I dont like is when a device is online but not reporting into the portal. This does not happen often but when it does takes some time to work with support to resolve. I strongly suggest that my team get alerted when something like this happens, rather than finding out a device has not been checking in for days/weeks or even months.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are minimizing risk and exposure to all of our clients. We know that when they are in secured mode, they are fully protected against any past or future potential threats.

  ### 15. Shows what is going on under the sheets!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Barb K. | Contract Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2022

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Reports, It blocks apps without approval

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Configuring our drones and the applications they integrate with has been a nightmare. When assigning a computer to a group I want to assort apply by group - does not let me sort, not sure if I can apply like an app ugrade across users.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our out of office project managers always working from job sites, logging in from mcdonalds, et cetera are our loose canon in the organization and has given much more control

  ### 16. Great Conference

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** William M. | Owner/President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2022

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Threatlocker makes security easier since it locks down anything that the user tries to install so that it can be reviewed first - this makes our job more straightforward since the bad stuff can't happen first, and we are trying to stop it second.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Threatlocker does take our techs more time to administer and also does cause a bit of kickback from the end user since they can't just install and go, but a little effort is better than the alternative.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our clients have users that come and go out of the company, and using threatlocker allows the CEO or controller to sleep better at night, knowing that the latest hire isn't destroying their company.

  ### 17. If you aren't using ThreatLocker you're either cheap, stupid, or both.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex L. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2020

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I like the fact that I feel that my client's systems and more specifically their data are adequately protected against any and all threats that might be caused by software.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The interface is a bit old school but it gets the job done.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving the problem of anti-virus not detecting a malicious application. We have the benefit of knowing that our client's are able to function without the risks of ransomware in their environment.

  ### 18. ThreatLocker is a breath of fresh air to Cyber Security

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Travis B. | CEO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2020

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The product actually works as advertised. It locks down the system, and you have full cloud control over it.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

There isn't much to dislike, but if there is anything - its that the system can be daunting when you first start to use it. But the engineers are especially helpful and they will have weekly calls until you off and running.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using ThreatLocker to do literally everything it offers. We've used it as a DNS white listing app, we have locked down computers to limit accidental installs of anything, we block external data sources, and more. The list is truly endless in how it is helpful.

  ### 19. One Year Experience with ThreatLocker

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel V. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2022

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I like ThreatLocker as a whole organization. They are tremendous at supporting and training their product. Additionally, the mindset of what the tool does is brilliant, and it works. This might be the best Systems Governance solution since I learned about my RMM solution.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I think at times, the portal is a bit clunky, for example, lacking the ability to sort or export information. I do believe they are working on it and I look forward to the new changes.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to know if any client is trying to install applications and governance around it. We have improved our security stack thanks to ThreatLocker.

  ### 20. Threatlocker makes it easier to sleep at night knowing my clients are protected with zero trust

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin B. | Chief Information Security Officer CISO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2022

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Rapid response support. A trusted partnership with MSPs.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

With zero trust, it is sometimes tough to get clients to buy in on the need to not be an admin at all times. That is not a defect or the product but additional training that we must do as MSPs to prepare our clients for the change.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unknown threats not caught by typical endpoint protection

  ### 21. I can sleep well at night

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt C. | Business Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2022

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Knowing that Threatlocker is installed on all my endpoints helps me sleep at night. Knowing the best in the business are working 24/7 is what keeps my company and my clients companies safe.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Nothing. There could be a few more reports.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Threatlocker solves all my issues with a lot of eyes watching my endpoints. I feel safer, my clients are safer.

  ### 22. Could be more intiuitive, but its the best platform so far

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark G. | Support Services Lead Technician, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2022

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I like the granularity on permissions and application policies. The approval process is straight forward, and the PAM is what we needed in our enviroment

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Its not intiuitive in that reviewing sub tenants is not always clear at the begining. Just a training issue.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Preventing my team from doing dumb things, and using a learning tool when they do.

  ### 23. Application Whitelisting that actually works and is easy to manage

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raffi J. | Chief Executive Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2020

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Complete visibility to the applications and libraries that are being run on every computer. Also the ability to control legitimate applications like powershell and MS office from connecting to places they shouldn't

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

A little learning curve to get people onboarded. And adjustment to users workflow, but its really a minor issue.

**Recommendations to others considering ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform:**

Give it a shot. Its worth going through the evaluation just to see whats running out there.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Preventing applications from running that shouldn't be there or aren't approved. Between EDR and Threatlocker we're confident we are doing the most we can technically to prevent malware or minimize its effectiveness.

  ### 24. A product that works and helps me sleep at night

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael S. | President/CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2022

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

From the start, what they say they do is what they do. I found that the Onboarding was fast, on point, and always ready to help. I have many techs that work on the implementation of this service, and they tell me the CEO how helpful ThreatLocker support is. That service, for me, helps my production, and that relates to cost.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I have not had any problems yet, and the support has been fantastic.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Security protection on a local level and having the ability to have visablity of the system.

  ### 25. Great application to protect our clients

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Blake S. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2022

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

We have real-life examples of it stopping malicious installs.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Waiting for it to do discovery - it is necessary, but I am impatient. A necessary challenge

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enabling our clients who need to be able to install software do it with much less risk.

  ### 26. Semi competent IT admin

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris S. | Partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2022

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

ThreatLocker is very easy to use. Most things are intuitive but when I need help the Cyber Heros send me a quick tutorial video that solves the problem easily.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Since it mostly runs on autopilot, I often go weeks without logging in. Then it can take a few minutes to remember how to allow users to install new or updated applications.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Absolute security not relying on users doing the right thing.

  ### 27. Game Changer for security

It can be a bit annoying with upgrades. However this is the price for security!

So many!! True security!

Amount of time it takes for the audit logs to populate

Security through limiting what applications can do, not allowing unknown software into the network.

  ### 30. Product is amazing, does what it says and

  ### 37. Game Changer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zachary K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2020

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I love that with ThreatLocker it puts you in 100% control of your applications and your storage, it's kind of like having an individual firewall or a ring around each one of your applications. This allows you to control everything this application/process has access to in your environment, it also enables you to block anything new and unrecognized. This is monumentally different than how traditional AV behaves because it does not rely on detection it simply is just set to not trust anything until you do. Allowing you to achieve a true Zero Trust architecture in your environment.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The thing we dislike is how it gets in the way of some of our tools but that's by design, and Threatlocker support has been fantastic at helping us solve any issues.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Threatlocker has allowed us to solve the issue of what if? What if we get hit with Ransomware/Malware/Banking trojans etc. By making the default position that we block everything and only allow what we trust it has substantially changed our ability to deliver endpoint centric security to our end users and has changed the game.

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The Cyber Heroes are incredibly knowledgeable and unreivled in their response time. I don't believe we've ever waited over a minute to get help when we've needed it.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

While I don't believe there are downsides to working with Threatlocker, I do want to point out your technicians and engineers must be trained on security threats. When they say Zero Trust, they mean it. The responsibility then falls on you to ensure what you allow SHOULD be allowed.

**Recommendations to others considering ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform:**

If you are a security-first mindset company, I would highly recommend you implement Threatlocker.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We love that we have a product that actually does what they say it does- that's rare in most industries. We have peace of mind knowing our endpoints are secured to only allow what we've approved.

  ### 48. Securely Control Applications & Access to Storage

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2020

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

This product blocks every program that is not whitelisted. While this proves to be very frustrating at first, when properly optimized this adds a very unique and powerful layer of security to your stack. While antivirus programs will block known threats, Threatlocker goes a step further and prevents attackers from using legitimate program executables to abuse other tools such as PowerShell and CMD. This technology is called Ringfencing and Threatlocker has done a great job in implementing it. Additionally, Threatlocker will often suggest recommended policy changes based on the ever-changing threat landscape. These suggestions can be added by the click of a button and pushed to all your devices. Threatlocker has always been very receptive to our feedback and has even added built-in trusted apps for some of our most used software at our request.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The dislikes I have are the fault of other software vendors rather than Threatlocker. Normally when a program is blocked, you have an option to add an exception by hash, file name, process name or certificate. Some vendors still operate with unsigned software so every time there is an update, we have to manually add the exceptions again since the hashes change. We have recently started adding exceptions based on file name AND process name to be as secure as possible in these cases, but this is still bad practice as malware can be renamed to match that of the trusted file name. These vendors need to start signing all their software so that Threatlocker can be used to its full potential.

**Recommendations to others considering ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform:**

Threatlocker should be used as a supplement to your existing antivirus software. Threatlocker is not meant to be a replacement for antivirus software.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Threatlocker in combination with our antivirus software to provide a layered security approach to our endpoints.

  ### 49. Next-gen Application/Storage Control: essential to any security stack!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Darrin S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2020

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Ease of use and customization are really good. There are lots of options, and you can get very granular with what an application is allowed to do. The ringfencing works really well, so even legitimate applications can't be hijacked. It can also be used as a way to log all running applications and keep records for PC's, a lot of information is available in the portal. The support is also fantastic, and easy to work with.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Nothing so far, the portal is fantastic and easy to use. Only annoyance is when a program is blocked and no prompt is given to the user to gain approval. This doesn't happen often, and the support team is constantly making improvements.

**Recommendations to others considering ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform:**

Make this a part of your security stack. Works great alongside EDR, SIEM, and MDR products.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Threatlocker has really made a drastic impact on our security. Everything I tested it stopped cold. Nothing unauthorized has a chance at running now, and only authorized programs can access storage. Really gives peace of mind, unlike with anti-virus where you hope it gets stopped. The storage control is going to stop ransomware, and application control is going to ensure nothing malicious can attack. Really impressed with the support as well, there are no long waits or transfers like with other security companies. Threatlocker makes zero-trust much easier to put in place.

  ### 50. Zero Trust is Needed - ThreatLocker Makes it Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Neal J. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2020

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

We like that ThreatLocker finally makes centralized zero trust (application white-listing) possible across many customers and many endpoints. Their team is VERY responsive to any support requests and they are constantly improving the product. Those two things factors weighed heavily into our decision to go with them.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I wish it was free, but you get what you pay for no doubt.

**Recommendations to others considering ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform:**

I would recommend you test ThreatLocker internally and see what it can do in your environment. Then rolling it out to customers is pretty easy with your RMM tool.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ThreatLocker has allowed us to add a critical piece to our security stack that can prevent zero day threats like nothing else. This is next level stuff when it comes to bringing real protection to our clients.
