**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dev S. | Network Security Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2026

**What do you like best about ThousandEyes?**

I really appreciate how clear the visibility with ThousandEyes is. I can see exactly where problems are happening in real time, which saves me a lot of time since I don't have to manually track logs to find issues. The dashboard is easy to read and understand, showing everything I need in one place, so I don't have to check multiple tools. This feature saves my team hours each week and keeps our network running smoothly for everyone.

**What do you dislike about ThousandEyes?**

The learning curve is steep when first starting to use it. It takes time to understand all the features and how to set everything up. The pricing is also quite high compared to other monitoring tools. Sometimes the interface is cluttered with too much information on one screen.

**What problems is ThousandEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ThousandEyes to track network performance, find issues quickly, and gain visibility into slowdowns and connection problems, which makes troubleshooting easier and faster.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin A. | Head of Customer Success, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2023

**What do you like best about ThousandEyes?**

The data and insight you see when monitoring your network and application availability using Thousand Eyes is truly unbelievable. As its agents are embedded into the network just like a client, the view is from the client's perspective.

**What do you dislike about ThousandEyes?**

The price is a little higher compared to other tools, and working out how many units you need to perform the tests you want can be a little confusing if you haven't dabbled with the product beforehand.

**What problems is ThousandEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Without using Thousand Eyes, you will always resort to the outside-in view to try and work out how a service is behaving or how a client experience is going. With Thousand Eyes, you get the opposite view of inside out, which immediately lets you know how the network is performing, whether cloud services are accessible and whether the overall digital experience for a user is what they should be getting.

  ### 15. ThousandEye Product Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2023

**What do you like best about ThousandEyes?**

Thousandeyes is a good product for any external monitoring needed. It has help us in many different situations for website issues/dns issues. Also it can be used for internal monitoring with enterprise agents.

**What do you dislike about ThousandEyes?**

The only downside I have is with the kubernetes dockers agent monitoring. The agents don't see to stay up and when you reboot the agent gets recreated causing agent to agent test problems.

**What problems is ThousandEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves issue with transaction test against API monitoring. It also helps with external DNS issues that may happen. It will help with an agent to agent test for cloud monitoring. There is a bunch more but these are the big highlights.

  ### 16. Excellent tool to early detect issues with network services

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mario Alfonso R. | Network Consulting engineer - Datacenter ACI, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2023

**What do you like best about ThousandEyes?**

The most helpful feature of ThousandEyes is the ability to locate failures in any part of the network side when applications fail. No matter if it's outside of the company's administrative control, it helps pinpoint where the issue is, so we can engage appropriate teams as needed (App support, Internet Providers, etc).

**What do you dislike about ThousandEyes?**

I would like more support of network enterprise agents for other vendors, (F5 loadbalancers) and also support for Catalyst 9600 products.

**What problems is ThousandEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps to reduce the time to detect and resolve failures in applications hosted in AWS cloud. It means, less operational overhead for my team, so we can take care of other activities in IT.

  ### 17. ThousandEyes Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Denis R. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2023

**What do you like best about ThousandEyes?**

I like that as a business I can pinpoint where outage occurs and investigate immediately. Additionally, having the ability to use metrics to view our endpoints is extremely useful.

**What do you dislike about ThousandEyes?**

Maybe it's our organization but whenever we try to change account groups, it's beyond laggy. Its nearly impossible to navigate the drip down menu of account groups because it seems to query all the data as it loads up the front end of the account group name

**What problems is ThousandEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping us monitor our internal applications throughout our organization. We can use this data to ensure no application is down unless requested by the owner of the application.

  ### 18. Perfect tool for our need

The ability to see uptime reporting across multiple clients and multiple client sites in real-time in a clear, concise dashboard. This product truly is the right tool for our needs and will continue to use it.

**What do you dislike about ThousandEyes?**

Thousandeyes could benefit from communicating new features and product updates to clients in a more accessible way. There have been times I stumble across new features that I would have been using earlier had I been aware.

**What problems is ThousandEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Uptime and uptime reporting for our clients is a top priority, Thousan Eyes helps us stay in the know about different ISP's uptime across our clients around the world.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akash S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2023

**What do you like best about ThousandEyes?**

I have been using ThousandEyes for some time now and love its interface. Monitoring targets and checking the connections for critical or major alerts is easy and efficient.

**What do you dislike about ThousandEyes?**

It still requires a lot of tasks to be simplified. If a new user is started working on ThousandEyes, it takes him a lot of time to familiarise with alerts and monitoring through it.

**What problems is ThousandEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem ThousandEyes is solving is monitoring the Cloud and Network interface. Our support engineer can only solve the problem if they know the exact situation, and with Alerts from TE, its benefiting us to do that.

  ### 20. Monitoring Tools of the Future

  ### 21. Thousand eyes for monitoring the alerts and link status

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Networking | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2023

**What do you like best about ThousandEyes?**

It a real time monitoring platform and is really easy to use. We used it to fetch the link status in our network. If there was any loss or error observed in our network, it helped us in notifying the same. The data was very apt and very could rely on it without logging into the device

**What do you dislike about ThousandEyes?**

The data showed up after a delay. We could move and drag to set up a particular time frame, but it was quite slow in showing data when asked for a specific time frame

**What problems is ThousandEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to look for delays and errors in our network using it. It also helped us in figuring out the current status of the interface and the transit links. It helped us in saving a lot of time as we dont have to login into the devices

  ### 22. Application experience monitoring at its best!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rafael M. | Customer Success Specialist for Wireless, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2023

**What do you like best about ThousandEyes?**

How digestible information is. It is very easy to pinpoint the root cause of an issue with application connectivity and/or performance. The ThousandEyes platform provides you with Alerts, Dashboards, graphs and logs about all of these things!

**What do you dislike about ThousandEyes?**

I think the team can do a better job with artificial intelligence and machine learning. The platform should be able to create baselines and set thresholds automatically for some tests. The goal is to be more proactive and avoid false positives.

**What problems is ThousandEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ThousandEyes allows us to take ownership and have visibility over environments that are not really managed by us, such as the internet and our cloud service provides. That allows for a more thorough and precise troubleshooting and faster reporting and resolution times for issues.

**What do you like best about ThousandEyes?**

TE can provide details about the network with great visual representation that would have been hard to figure out by just running commands and tracing outputs.

**What do you dislike about ThousandEyes?**

Thousand eyes is license based and each feature utilizes a few licenses, which may need some improvement.

**What problems is ThousandEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

trying to trace a path to understand why my team's video and voice calls are suffering, despite using industry standard applications like Zoom and Webex

  ### 24. ThousandEyes is a must have for running datacenter

ThousandEyes gives us insight into a very wide span of Internet reachability and performance. It allows us to be more proactive on our customer experience, rather than waiting for customers to complain about a connectivity problem.

  ### 25. Always helps me prove it is not the network!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Colton B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2023

**What do you like best about ThousandEyes?**

Being able to view traffic response time on each gateway and remote application to accurately troubleshooting and isolate an issue.

**What do you dislike about ThousandEyes?**

The one thing I ran into was not being able to clear alerts on the alert monitoring panel even after deleting the alert rule.

**What problems is ThousandEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps with notifying us about what network devices stop communicating. It also helps us isolate our network issues quickly and also tells us if it is a vendor issue.

  ### 26. Thousand Eyes gave us Insight we never had before

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom W. | Network Administrator at California Department of Tax and Fee Administration , Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2023

**What do you like best about ThousandEyes?**

Great visibility into network status of remote user endpoints

**What do you dislike about ThousandEyes?**

The only caveat is that sometimes alerts notifications do not clear as easily as you may want them to. Or there is no way to clear an alert by acknowledgement.

**What problems is ThousandEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We found instances of high CPU utilization on remote user endpoints. The product shows uptime to our mission-critical application websites. It is very helpful by showing path traces and latency issues.

  ### 27. ThousandEyes is extremely useful for network visibility.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tyler L. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2023

**What do you like best about ThousandEyes?**

The most useful thing we use ThousandEyes for is determining where the weak link is when a system is experiencing slowness whether that be online or within our own system.

**What do you dislike about ThousandEyes?**

I think the only down side I found was it was somewhat difficult to set up meaningful alerts, it required us to set up equipment one at a time rather than being able to apply a rule that covered all objects.

**What problems is ThousandEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it to determine whether an issue is a result our of our equipment, or somewhere else in the country potentially for some of our cloud based solutions that we use.

  ### 28. Simple and very effective tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Milivoje M. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2023

**What do you dislike about ThousandEyes?**

I do not have major remarks on the product.

**What problems is ThousandEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives me visibility on the network which my services are traversing.
We also use it to probe the service as well.
This all enables us to be more efficient in understanding where the outages occur.

  ### 29. some feature really useful and some need improvements

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lechao D. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2023

**What do you like best about ThousandEyes?**

The Path Visualization is really useful, it helped us find the network's root cause multiple times.
And the TE platform is stable.

**What do you dislike about ThousandEyes?**

The price is high.
I wish we could see the DNS query result for all the agents.

**What problems is ThousandEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TE can give us the most accurate result from outside. If TE says something is wrong, then something is for sure not working.
