They are actually the thought-leaders in the space (no pun intended). Not only are they excellent at their craft, but they taught my entire team best practices in product management, bug bashing, managing burnout of engineers, and more. They are of course expensive, but truly worth every penny if you're able to afford it, especially if you don't have any existing technical talent or leadership and need a team who can self-manage and you don't need to worry about whether they are handling your product with the true care it deserves -- I never had to worry about that with Thoughtbot. Recommendations to others considering thoughtbot: If you want a devshop to build something exactly to your specifications, Thoughtbot gets the job done, but if you want a devshop who is willing to intellectually spar with you, challenge your assumptions, and build you something better than you imagined -- go with Thoughtbot.
