**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Milos J. | Customer Care Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Things?**

A perfect to-do planner and organizer for life and reminders.

**What do you dislike about Things?**

The drawback that I cannot insert an image into the application — the application works exclusively with text.

**What problems is Things solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I literally organize my entire life through this application. From work tasks and reminders, to grocery shopping lists, reminders for when a certain document expires, and so on...

  ### 2. Perfect GTD App with Clean UI and Effortless Task Entry

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Things?**

What attracted me to Things 3 was it adheres to the GTD Methodology extremely well! It has a clean, minimalist UI. I love that I can reprioritize via drag and drop wherever I want. Getting tasks into Things is friction free as I can dictate tasks via Siri. I can use Quick Entry from any site as well.

**What do you dislike about Things?**

I would love to be able to control font sizes.

**What problems is Things solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool assists me in organizing both my week and my day. It also makes it easy to keep my top priorities visible at all times.

  ### 3. The best to-do app

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicolò D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Things?**

Minimal looks and is clearly integrated with a lot of useful tools. That makes me more productive than ever.
The most thing that I liked of Things is the one minute setup and you can use in every moment of your day.

**What do you dislike about Things?**

It's not supported by a platform like Make. That would be so great to allow me create an amazing productive workflow.

**What problems is Things solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Things allow me to be more productive using to-do lists. I've organized my entire work and private areas in Things. I've used the PARA Method and it's something that helps me a lot to drive my results.

  ### 4. Organise your tasks in a fashionable way

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anton K. | Senior SAP ECM Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Things?**

Things app comes with a beautiful clean UI and simple philosophy on how to organise your tasks. Just put anything that pops up into your head (even when on the go) into the Inbox and review later. Promised to do something but not sure when - put into Someday. Things will show you what you planned for today, what you have for upcoming days. Not a simple (one-step task)? - Take advantage of a Project setup. Things proves that it shouldn't be complicated (as long as you won't complicate it too much)

**What do you dislike about Things?**

The app is great, but there are some downsides. It comes at a separate price per device type - you have to pay for iOS and Mac app separately and you don't have Android / Windows version. Although the app is great - you can not share your lists / tasks with other persons (your partner / family) and you can't attach files to the tasks (URLs are OK as well as Finder references, but not the files themselves).

**What problems is Things solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Things to track my day-to-day tasks (not only personal, but also work) and save the list of books, articles I would like to read. I also have a template project that keeps the list of activities to perform when I setup a new Macbook (what steps to do, what apps to install, etc). And of course I use it a lot on the go - each time I have an idea of doing something - I enter it into Inbox (even if it is just an idea).

  ### 5. The best Get-things-done app in the world!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Auðbergur G. | Digital Product Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Things?**

I like the simplicity and beauty of the interface. It's extremely simple, intuitive and enjoyable to use Things. I love how it just works and helps me get things done every day. I work as a digital product designer and I find using the app such a joy. The design of the app is beautiful, intuitive and intelligent. I even love watching the introduction video for Things 3. I love being able to buy the software once instead of subscribing and paying way more.

**What do you dislike about Things?**

Honestly, I can't say I dislike anything about this app. If I should name one feature I would like, it would be a different kind of visual folder structure, but that's minimal and might even destroy the look of the app.

**Recommendations to others considering Things:**

Go on and get Things and never look back. It's the perfect way to manage your tasks in style. It's the most beautiful and user-friendly GTD app I've ever tried, and I've tried a lot of them. I've used apps like Todoist, Trello and more and I was never satisfied until I came across Things and I've been a happy customer ever since. I've even bought the app as a gift for a few friends and relatives that I knew would benefit from it.

**What problems is Things solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I live a pretty busy life and I'm always juggling a lot of projects at the same time. But after I got Things I've been able to have oversight over everything I need to do. It's made my life so much easier and my workflow so much more efficient.

  ### 6. Great Task Management Tool!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew-David J. | Engineering Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Things?**

The beautiful and streamlined native UI that Things brings to the table makes it incredibly easy to learn and use. Being able to group my tasks into projects and assigning them to today or someday makes my mornings very efficient. Syncing across multiple devices is very useful as well.

**What do you dislike about Things?**

To be honest, it is really difficult for me to find something to dislike about Things aside from the price point. The software is great, don't get me wrong, but I had a hard time justifying paying $70 CAD for the desktop app and then another $15 CAD for the iOS app.

**What problems is Things solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My morning and weekly task management routines are now much more efficient. The "Today" section reminds me what I have to do for the day and allows me to prioritize based on what I have planned and the remaining task categories are useful to keep my workflow optimized.

  ### 7. Best cross-platform to-do list

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vitaly M. | Startup Advisor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Things?**

Love the capability to have structure at very granular level from areas to projects down to buckets and checklists. Also there's a great way to for tagging and searching across entries, so there's always an easy way to find what you were looking for.

**What do you dislike about Things?**

There are too few integrations with existing browsers so that you could shoot links directly from browsers to app. For some reason, a quick entry with autofill feature doesn't work with some chromium-based browsers like Sidekick.

**Recommendations to others considering Things:**

I have also used Todoist, but I find Things to be more flexible and user-friendly

**What problems is Things solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently, I have a large backlog of Things to do. I used to keep all records across my projects that might be relevant at some point in the future. It's basically a database for me and a go-to system for organizing stuff.

Another way I use it is to organize and plan a project or initiative on-the-fly as needed. As an example, this could be an educational course, a product design sprint, a brainstorm session, or anything with more or less complex structure and several milestones.

  ### 8. Things runs my life!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew H. | Education Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Things?**

Areas help to organize lists and prioritize; Projects allow for lists within each area; Today shows only the items you want to accomplish, getting less urgent items out of the way; Upcoming allows for easy future planning at a glance; Calendar integration puts your day front and center; Seemless cloud syncing between iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch!

**What do you dislike about Things?**

The biggest downfall is the lack of Windows and Android compatibility. This means I can't sync between my personal Apple equipment and my work Windows equipment.

**What problems is Things solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I open Things first every morning. I am able to prioritize my list by reorganizing areas and projects. Then, I simply work down the list, checking off items as I go. If something changes, I just drag to rearrange. I have been able to feel less overwhelmed by keeping my "things" in order and moving less urgent items to a new day.

  ### 9. Complete task manager with a great interface.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Things?**

Easy to use, fast task capture, great interface.

**What do you dislike about Things?**

Cross-platform team collaboration is limited.

**What problems is Things solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quickly capturing things to do that come up so I can concentrate on current tasks.

  ### 10. Things is the best task management software which I've ever used!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shayan R. | Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Things?**

The user interface and design is excellent, I used dark mode which looks fantastic. The best feature for me is the quick entry. With a keyboard shortcut its very easy to activate. For example, if im on a Microsoft Teams or Zoom call and I am giving tasks to do, I simply use the quick entry shortcut so I can set up tasks easily to add to my to do list.

**What do you dislike about Things?**

When receiving notifications on the mac on the top right corner I wish we could customise the "Options" drop down list when hovering over the notification. Currently when you click on the "Options" drop down list it gives you the choice of selecting "Complete", "Snooze for 10 minutes", "Snooze for 30 minutes" and "Snooze for 1 hour" which are good but if we could add our own for example "Remind me tomorrow morning" or "Remind me in the afternoon" would be very useful.

**Recommendations to others considering Things:**

If you're looking for an excellent task management system, try out Things. For me its simply brilliant.

**What problems is Things solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before I discovered and started using Things, I was using just a word document to make a list to try and keep track of what tasks I needed to do. It was extremely difficult to track different tasks and deadlines etc as this word document just came a very long list.

Once I started using Things, this no longer was an issue for me. It became a lot easier to stay on top off my tasks and meet deadlines on time and more efficiently.

  ### 11. I liked it but didn't love it

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Things?**

easy integration between phone and computer. versatility to create many projects and tasks

**What do you dislike about Things?**

the inability to collaborate with others was the main reason i stopped using

**Recommendations to others considering Things:**

If you only need a personal task manager, this is a great product.

**What problems is Things solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I follow a lot of GTD principles for productivity and things has a good set up for that. especially that i can add anything to my inbox from my phone... that ensures that i don't forget tasks

  ### 12. Great app to manage tasks!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luke S. | Data Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Things?**

The ability to group tasks into areas and dynamically create tags.

**What do you dislike about Things?**

It only supports Apple devices, so sharing lists in a mixed OS household is not possible.

**Recommendations to others considering Things:**

If you are an Apple product user and feel like the reminders application is limited in scope, then Things is a great solution to manage your to-do list.

**What problems is Things solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I manage personal and work tasks in a single app and sync across my laptop and phone.

  ### 13. Great to-do list management!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Things?**

I love being able to group my tasks by area.

**What do you dislike about Things?**

You cannot see your task list on your calendar apps.

**What problems is Things solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing multiple areas with task within each area. I like being able to create and track repeating tasks.

  ### 14. It does a lot of things…

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark H. | Managing Partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2021

**What do you like best about Things?**

Things is for sure a powerful To Do list for sure.
It is ecstatically pleasing, has a clean and intuitive interface and synchronizes seamlessly with your devices in the Apple ecosystem.

**What do you dislike about Things?**

While all Things are fine when you use Apple devices, unfortunately other platforms are (currently?) not supported.
“To Do list” software should be represented on all (mayor) operating systems.

**Recommendations to others considering Things:**

If you consider Things (3), do have a look at Amazing Marvin.
It is “Things” on steroids. And yes, Mac, Windows and Linux are supported.

**What problems is Things solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Things keeps track of your To Do list. It does this task really well. Having found Amazing Marvin though, we realized it was time to switch things.

  ### 15. Best appointment app!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Things?**

I really like that it is easily organized and simple to find and categorize to-do lists.

**What do you dislike about Things?**

I just don’t like that I had to pay for it. It is a little expensive though it helped a lot. This is why I got rid of it.

**Recommendations to others considering Things:**

I currently don’t have any.

**What problems is Things solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Things helped me focus my brain at work when I usually have many students’ problems on my mind and am constantly distracted. It has reminders that I can set and allows me to share goals with others.

  ### 16. A nice Mac/iOS app for TODO lists

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anthonin C. | Développeur tweaks (iOS jailbreak), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2020

**What do you like best about Things?**

The synchronisation between iOS and Mac apps. It never failed once.

**What do you dislike about Things?**

No ability to upload files to tasks. I really enjoyed uploading images to my tasks in previous TODO list apps I've used in the past.

**What problems is Things solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping track of every thing I have to do, for work or in private life.

  ### 17. Visually flawless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David . | Co-Founder and CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Things?**

From the first moment I installed Things, what I liked most was its impressive design. If it wasn't because I bought the app, I'd think it was born from Apple's design department.
Of course, we must also mention its integration with other management apps, calendars, email, integration with Things Cloud...
Something that I also like very much are the ways to organize tasks into projects, and within each task, to be able to create lists.

**What do you dislike about Things?**

What I like least about Things is that it lacks a better reminder system, both for macOS and iOS.
Although it can be integrated with Apple reminders, I think a better integrated notification system would be convenient.
I can really say few things that I don't like about Things, but one would be the high price of the macOS version.

**Recommendations to others considering Things:**

If you have the need to organize projects in a clean and orderly way, without a doubt Things is the best alternative.
I just have to warn you that you have to buy the macOS, iOS and iPad versions separately, which can be an economic problem.

**What problems is Things solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems I solve with Things especially have to do with my lack of memory in the personal sphere. It helps me manage my agenda and tasks.
In the professional field, it helps me manage the tasks of meetings, calls, emails ...
It also helps me a lot to manage specific but urgent projects, of those that are not long term but need an urgent resolution.

  ### 18. I've recommended it before & I love it

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katy M. | Technology Chief of Staff, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Things?**

After reading Getting Things Done, I was determined to find a tool that could support my new productivity approach. I love how intuitive and easy the tool is. I really enjoy that the iOS app and Apple Watch version are super easy to use. I've set up my Shortcuts by Siri app to include swift additions to my to-do list

**What do you dislike about Things?**

I wish that there was more visualization of your to-do list, timelines, etc. I've actually suggested that they offer a tool that converts your projects and to-do items into a Gantt chart

**Recommendations to others considering Things:**

I recommend using Things if you understand the Getting Things Done framework. Things 3 creators actually made a guide for how to use it in conjunction with GTD.

**What problems is Things solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving the "Where do I start?" problem with projects, and I have found a general sense of momentum in my productivity. I start each day knowing exactly what to take action on.

  ### 19. Things Devotee

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Things?**

I love Things. It's super easy to use and install, and you only pay for it once. The user interface is super clean, its mobile functionality is superb, and I use it to organize my life.

**What do you dislike about Things?**

You can only use it with Apple products. I have a personal PC and can't use it or integrate it there, which is a tragedy. They have an apple watch extension for the app which I've never really found useful but I also don't care at all about not having that feature.

**Recommendations to others considering Things:**

I love it. It's best for personal use though, not great for using as a team.

**What problems is Things solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it for productivity and task management, both for personal stuff and for work items.

  ### 20. Simple and Effective - You won’t want to go back

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** António Miguel S. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Things?**

Overall everything feels smooth and right how it should be! Really the best feature for me, is being able to quickly note some thought (from the quick entry shortcut, with intelligent autofill!) while doing whatever thing on my Mac.
Calendar and Reminders integration it’s also very well synchronized and displayed on the Menu.
Cloud makes it a very good feature for the companion app on iPhone, it’s a breeze!

**What do you dislike about Things?**

I’ve run into a minor issue on Dark Mode, which was quickly fixed by the support.

**Recommendations to others considering Things:**

For most people, the price is worth it. But don't fear, support is there to help you and even refund you at no cost!

**What problems is Things solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organization both of my work and personal life has had a big improvement since using Things, no regrets buying this software at all! Also for those quickly vanishing thoughts, quick entry is amazing.

  ### 21. simple & easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Events Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2019

**What do you like best about Things?**

Love the simplicity, the uix is super intuitive and very clean look. I tried several apps and this one is the best I have tried. In the other ones, there was always something that was bugging me and I stopped using it.

**What do you dislike about Things?**

Nothing specific, maybe the fact that you actually need to purchase it separately for mac and iphone and that kind of sucks. I would rather have one package for all devices.

**What problems is Things solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can put everything in one place, cover different areas of my life, a different project at work, even different roles at my work.

  ### 22. Finally a task manager capable of keeping up with me

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Things?**

I like being able to drag just about anything into the interface and create a task that references back to the source. For example, I get an email that is essentially a task. I can drag it onto things and it creates a task that I can name and schedule. In the task itself is a link back to the email, so when its time to do the work, I can click the link and have the email pop right up. This completely eliminates my need to manage my inbox at all. The fact that this feature even works when syncing across two computers is fantastic.

**What do you dislike about Things?**

The interface is standard Mac, so it feels like home, very organized. But sometimes I wish I could break it apart see things in another manner rather than lists, or be able to create dependencies between items in different projects.

**What problems is Things solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall organization at the individual level. Nothing gets missed, which was a problem when I relied on my email inbox to be my organizer. Committing all tasks to Things makes it the only place I need to reference when I'm plowing through my workday.

  ### 23. A simple, elegant to do list to keep you on track.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danny S. | Realtor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2019

**What do you like best about Things?**

I like the interface. It is simple and clean. It keeps you organized and moving forward.

**What do you dislike about Things?**

I wish you could share a list with someone else and have it update in real time.

**What problems is Things solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping multiple to do lists organized. It helps to know what the next step is for every project I'm working on.

  ### 24. A good task tracker

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Things?**

I've tried every task manager or there and I pretty much bounce back and forth between various solutions every few months. Things is in my rotation if for no other reason than I paid for it. Honestly what I'm looking for is a solution that combines a diary like notebook with a to do list. Pagico comes close to that. But if you're looking for an affordable GTD solution things is pretty good.

**What do you dislike about Things?**

Lack of notes feature. My oh l own lack of ability to stay focused on even staying focused.

**What problems is Things solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracks to do lists.

  ### 25. The best way to organize your self and your team.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Things?**

Actually helps me get everything out of my brain so I'm not wasting energy remembering little things, while at the same time it let's me organize major projects and goals for myself and various teams I working with.

**What do you dislike about Things?**

Frustrating that you must purchase the iphone / ipad / mac editions separately.

**Recommendations to others considering Things:**

There is a bit of initial time required to get it set up and working for your needs, but this is entirely worthwhile.

**What problems is Things solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Project management; goal setting. Makes next steps evident to break down a complex project.

  ### 26. Looks Simple, does a lot!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Things?**

I love that it has a very user friendly layout and makes completing tasks fool-proof.

**What do you dislike about Things?**

I’m still trying to discover the ability to share to-do lists with multiple people

**Recommendations to others considering Things:**

Give yourself time to learn about Things before sharing with other team members

**What problems is Things solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest benefit is task management. It helps to see your day and evenings tasks right in front of you in an organized fashion.

  ### 27. Keeps you organized and productive

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Things?**

It's easy to input items and organize them in different views to ensure you don't miss anything.

**What do you dislike about Things?**

There could be more options to move items, connect them to projects, add timers and reminders or attach to a file

**What problems is Things solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Employers can not forget certain tasks because they will show up on the radar with Things

  ### 28. Scheduling made easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Things?**

I really love how it works especially on scheduling. It's so wonderful

**What do you dislike about Things?**

Nothing for now. Perhaps the pros has blinded me from seeing the cons.

**Recommendations to others considering Things:**

Use if you wish to make your managerial role simple.

**What problems is Things solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Task creation, to do list and event scheduling

  ### 29. Best to-do list ever

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2019

**What do you like best about Things?**

It's fast, native and simple. Also the design is beautiful

**What do you dislike about Things?**

You have to pay for the desktop verison and for the iOS/iPad, also there's no Android version of the app

**Recommendations to others considering Things:**

If you're crazy about your productivity you should definitely give it a try

**What problems is Things solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives me an ability to plan my day
