## Terminal Reviews
  ### 1. Exceeded Expectations in Engineer Sourcing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rion M. | Director of Platform (Capital Infrastructure), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Terminal?**

I was really pleased by what I saw on Terminal's website and platform. The Terminal experience really surpassed my expectations. Terminal is helping us address our sourcing challenges by finding a very high-quality talent who meet our technical requirements and cultural fit. They offer great ROI. I found their search platform, essentially an automated recommendation engine for candidates, to be of tremendous value. I also found the technical expertise of the recruiters I worked with to be of outstanding value for closing the process in a timely fashion. I really liked the personalized nature of their sourcing, their responsiveness, and attention to detail.

**What do you dislike about Terminal?**

Not applicable

**What problems is Terminal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Terminal helps with sourcing high-quality software engineers who fit technically and culturally. Their recommendation engine and recruiter expertise streamline the hiring process.

  ### 2. Strong candidate quality and seamless hiring experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Terminal?**

The responsiveness of the team and the quality of candidates stood out. Communication via Slack was seamless, scheduling was easy, and the first batch of candidates was highly aligned with our needs. We ended up hiring the very first candidate we interviewed, which speaks to the strength of their screening process.

We also had a good experience with their Talent Hub platform. It’s reliable and organized. I found the interview clips useful, and it’s good to know Terminal continues to improve it. Once we made our decision, the paperwork and onboarding process was simple.

**What do you dislike about Terminal?**

Some early candidate profiles leaned more on listing technologies they used and were familiar with rather than articulating project scope, impact and outcomes. This was more of a candidate level observation than an issue with Terminal, and the team was quick to take that feedback and pass it on to candidates.

**Recommendations to others considering Terminal:**

Recommend being clear about your requirements upfront and provide feedback early in the process. The team is very responsive and will quickly adapt to refine candidate quality and fit.

**What problems is Terminal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Terminal helps us efficiently source and hire high quality engineering talent without spending excessive time on recruiting, screening, and coordination. It significantly reduced our time to hire and improved the overall quality of candidates we reviewed. We were able to make our first hire in just 36 days, which is significantly faster than our typical hiring cycle.

  ### 3. Efficient Hiring with a Human Touch

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aaron L.

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Terminal?**

I appreciate Terminal's hands-on approach, which creates a very human connection in the midst of software and technology. Their technology hub allows us to interact with their process very efficiently and effectively. They have been excellent at delivering candidates for most roles we've collaborated on, providing solid candidates quickly and enabling us to hire swiftly. I also value their technology platform that enables us to engage efficiently and effectively, along with the human touch and approach that makes the process smooth and easy.

**What do you dislike about Terminal?**

Nothing meaningful. One opportunity to improve is deeper education on what their platform supported so we would have leveraged it even more than we did.

**What problems is Terminal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Terminal to find cost-efficient nearshore talent, streamlining our hiring by sourcing and pre-vetting candidates. Their hands-on, human approach and technology platform make the process smooth, delivering solid candidates quickly for most roles.

  ### 4. White-glove partnership

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachel K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Terminal?**

What stands out most is the partnership and service quality. Terminal feels like an extension of our own People Operations team rather than just a vendor. Their responsiveness, accuracy, and consultative approach give us confidence that we are making the best decisions for our employees. They consistently provide data, advice, and expertise to support our business needs. We also appreciate their ability to deliver rich benefit packages, support international expansion, and do so at a reasonable cost. The combination of white-glove customer support, strong compliance expertise, and employee-first benefits makes Terminal the best EOR partner we’ve worked with.

**What do you dislike about Terminal?**

Our only challenges have been around visibility. Since we do not have direct access into Terminal’s underlying systems (Dayforce, Concur, Notion), it can be harder for our team to impersonate employees or managers when troubleshooting issues. Similarly, we don’t have real-time visibility into hiring and compliance rosters, so we rely on Terminal to flag when a new hire has not completed a required step, such as signing an offer or completing onboarding paperwork. On occasion, we do need to escalate employee questions to Terminal, but they are highly responsive and integrated into our Slack, so escalations are typically resolved very quickly.

**What problems is Terminal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Terminal has solved a number of critical challenges we were experiencing with our previous EOR. We had consistent issues with inaccurate payrolls, limited benefit options, clunky systems, and slow response times. Terminal has delivered a complete turnaround. Their team ensures payroll accuracy, provides access to rich and customized benefit packages, and offers a responsive and knowledgeable support team. They have also helped us explore expanding into additional countries, introduced bespoke benefits our team needed, and connected us to tax credits and other cost-saving programs. By handling these complexities, Terminal has saved our U.S.-based HR team an estimated 50–100 hours of administrative work and given us peace of mind knowing our Canadian employees are supported with a compliant and smooth employment experience.

  ### 5. Trusted hiring partner delivering high-quality candidates fast

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ray G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Terminal?**

Terminal consistently delivers high-caliber candidates that we can move to interviews almost immediately. The speed and quality are unmatched — no other partner has given us candidates of this level.

**What do you dislike about Terminal?**

Because Terminal delivers so many strong candidates quickly, the real challenge is making sure we dedicate time to review and provide feedback. It is not a “set it and forget it” process — but the effort you put in directly translates into results.

**Recommendations to others considering Terminal:**

Be ready to engage in the process. Terminal will bring you excellent candidates quickly, but the more time you invest in reviewing and giving feedback, the stronger your outcomes will be.

**What problems is Terminal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a growing startup, hiring top talent quickly is critical to our success. Terminal saves us countless hours by sourcing and vetting strong candidates, letting us focus on building the business instead of grinding through recruiting.

  ### 6. Efficient sourcing, high quality candidates for your exact needs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Terminal?**

Quick sourcing, flexible partners that respond to requirements and feedback promptly (followed by immediate changes in the candidate pipeline)

**What do you dislike about Terminal?**

Slightly unintuitive UI to find candidate feedback from other interviewers, but easy enough to remember once you learn where to look.

**What problems is Terminal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Terminal was a great partner for us to quickly find a high quality SWE contractor that we needed for a very specific application. They paid close attention to our desired qualifications and quickly iterated as we began interviewing to dial in the candidate pool. Super easy to work with, they even handled the background check process for us. Finding a great candidate quickly was a key requirement and we were able to hire within just a few weeks!

  ### 7. Scaling hiring with flexibility and vetted candidates

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Terminal?**

Upstream sourcing and screening, interview clips to review, flexibility and an intuitive portal to manage candidates through.

**What do you dislike about Terminal?**

Fairly minor but; A lack of Principal and above engineering candidates.

**What problems is Terminal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scaling hiring and reducing fraud. Using LinkedIn was our previous play but in the age of AI the amount of fraud on the platform made this largely un-sustainable. We are hiring engineers to scale a startup and have reduced our hiring process to one interview because of the higher quality candidates and flexibility if things don'e work out.

  ### 8. Terminal Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Terminal?**

Terminal’s ability to provide seamless sourcing and payroll support for software engineers in LATAM and Canada has been invaluable. Their expertise in these regions and consistent, reliable service have made them a stellar partner during our rapid growth. We truly appreciate their commitment to helping us build and scale our teams.

**What do you dislike about Terminal?**

One limitation of Terminal is that they are not present in as many markets as some of the larger Employer of Record (EOR) providers. Additionally, they do not offer a service to help set up your own entity in-country, which can be challenging when expanding into new regions that are not covered.

**Recommendations to others considering Terminal:**

If your hiring needs align with Terminal’s market coverage, they are an excellent partner for sourcing and employing software engineers, especially across LATAM and Canada

**What problems is Terminal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Terminal has been an essential partner during periods of high-volume hiring, particularly when scaling our software engineering teams and expanding into new global markets. They have helped us efficiently source, place, and payroll software engineers across LATAM and Canada. This support has been crucial in meeting our recruitment goals and maintaining operational continuity.

  ### 9. Good experience. Solid candidates.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Terminal?**

Terminal send me good candidates, so it doesn't take a lot of time to hire.

**What do you dislike about Terminal?**

I don't really have anything that I disliked.

**Recommendations to others considering Terminal:**

Terminal has number of different ways to support companies with contractors and full time employees. Make sure to understand all the options, costs, pros and cons. It will help to streamline the process.

**What problems is Terminal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Terminal helps me to hire engineers by providing relevant high quality candidates.

  ### 10. Great Experience hiring developers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Terminal?**

The process is very easy. They are very hands on helping you through it. Responsive to our requests to tune the search criteria.

**What do you dislike about Terminal?**

Everything has been smooth. Nothing really.

**Recommendations to others considering Terminal:**

We've tried 8 different companies and have found Terminal to have the best quality and volume of candidates for software companies looking to scale.

**What problems is Terminal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping me find quality developers for our project

  ### 11. Surprisingly Quick

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Terminal?**

High quality top of funnel that they've built over time, makes it easy to pick up a search and fill roles quickly.

**What do you dislike about Terminal?**

I'm not sure there's a negative here to be honest.

**Recommendations to others considering Terminal:**

Have very tight bounds on scope and project and you'll find an amazing person.

**What problems is Terminal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick hires for contractors that are technically strong.

  ### 12. Great partner that helps us scale and source great talent

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ahmad H. | Engineering Manager

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Terminal?**

Our Terminal partners are very attentive and responsive. They are great to work with.

**What do you dislike about Terminal?**

Not much to say about dislikes. Our experience has been great so far.

**What problems is Terminal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a small company we don't have a fully fledged HR department, so Terminal helps us find talent and handles the pre-screening. They also handle all the payments and benefits in the markets they operate in, which is very useful for us as a remote company operating from the US.

  ### 13. Quick turnaround with strong candidates

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tristan B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Terminal?**

Fast turnaround with strong candidates. I was able to quickly schedule interviews.

**What do you dislike about Terminal?**

Most of the contractors are from the tech, finance, and medical tech fields, which made it hard to find someone with game engine experience.

**Recommendations to others considering Terminal:**

If you're looking for tech contractors at a good price with a fast response time, I would recommend Terminal.

**What problems is Terminal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Terminal helped me find a QA contractor to help my team meet our coverage goals.

  ### 14. Exceptional Talent From LatAm

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Terminal?**

Portal is great to use for reviewing candidates and leaving feedback.
The terminal team is super reactive in the hiring process.

**What do you dislike about Terminal?**

Screening candidates technical would be based on their skill set.

**Recommendations to others considering Terminal:**

Focus on the region and figure out a optimal way to filter our technical candidates.

**What problems is Terminal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We immediately need to hire LaTam engineering hires for our growth within a short period of time without in house TA. We also didn't have TMS to manage candidates as they are coming in. By using Terminal, we resolved that problem with a quick turn around time.

  ### 15. Great talent pool and easy onboarding process

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Terminal?**

I like how easy Terminal makes it to find good engineering talent. Terminal sources great candidates for us, and we can run them through our standard interview process.

**What do you dislike about Terminal?**

We haven't had any issues with Terminal.

**Recommendations to others considering Terminal:**

Terminal is a great fit for scaling companies looking to supplement their team with talented engineers. The engineers hired through terminal work alongside onshore team members. This is a great way to add hires with key skill sets or grow your team.

**What problems is Terminal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Terminal has helped us staff our company with great engineers.

  ### 16. Delivers great candidates

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Terminal?**

They've developed a great candidate pool and the client interface and service is fantastic.

**What do you dislike about Terminal?**

I have yet to experience any downside. Has been a seamless experience.

**Recommendations to others considering Terminal:**

I've found Terminal to have a stronger candidate pool and I appreciate the ability to see video interviews ahead of spending time personally vetting. The dashboard and customer experience is fantastic.

**What problems is Terminal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Terminal saves the hours otherwise spent recruiting and vetting qualified candidates.

  ### 17. An amazing partner for hiring top talent

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex M. | CEO, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Terminal?**

Terminal not only surfaces promising candidates, but also pre-vets their talent, and does so transparently (e.g. you can review their preliminary interviews with candidates and go deep on info about the candidate before meeting them). This saves hiring managers a ton of time. They've also been responsive to feedback to fine-tune their criteria and interviewing, leading to spot-on hiring for specific needs. The team there is also very client-oriented, which comes across in every interaction.

**What do you dislike about Terminal?**

I don't see any downsides, if you're considering them you should try them. I wish they helped hire in the US too.

**Recommendations to others considering Terminal:**

They were able to move as quickly with us as we were able to move, which is generally very fast. Make sure your candidate feedback cycle is fast to get the best value from working with them.

**What problems is Terminal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our bar for talent is high. We hire the best people who are experts at their craft. Terminal has helped us by surfacing pre-vetted, top technical talent.

  ### 18. Great Experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joe G. | VP of Engineering, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Terminal?**

Interviewers are able to leave feedback directly in the platform at each stage of the interview.

**What do you dislike about Terminal?**

It would be helpful if the tools provided by Terminal's EOR were integrated directly into the application.

**What problems is Terminal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've really enjoyed working with Terminal. They take our candidate feedback very seriously and work to improve our matches over time.

They have always been incredibly transparent with us throughout each process stage and meet us where we work best (Slack).

The platform is a game-changer. Most of the agencies we work with want to communicate via email, but some have platforms that offer far less information about candidates.

  ### 19. Terminal was instrumental in accelerating eng hiring and product velocity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordan T. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Terminal?**

Terminal has deep expertise in the regions they support, making it easy to get calibrated with their recruitment team on exactly what they're looking for. Additionally, once we onboard new engineers, Terminal's community resources make our engineers feel like they're part of a vibrant community and Terminal's model ensures engineers hired through Terminal truly feel like part of our team vs. being a contractor or embedded.

**What do you dislike about Terminal?**

The only downside I could see is if you're at a sufficient scale where you want to manage international hiring, comp, benefits on your own. In my opinion, this would be an unwise decision unless you are at a signficant scale and have the infrastructure and personnel already on your team to make this seamless and not a distraction. The ROI on Terminal is phenomonal.

**Recommendations to others considering Terminal:**

My biggest question mark was whether Terminal could help ensure we source A player engineers and whether those engineers would truly feel like they were on our team vs. being embedded. My advice would be to buy into Terminal's value prop on this, it works. Additionally, Terminal cannot guarantee great hires. That is a function of both Terminal's recruiting support but also your own team's ability to sell candidates that your company is a great place to work. You will get the most out of Terminal if you approach hiring collaboratively.

**What problems is Terminal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When you're building and scaling a company, you need to be focused on your customers and the things which will materially impact the probability of your businesses' success. Sourcing and hiring international engineers is not one of those things. Terminal creates a high quality top of the funnel for engineering candidates in different regions, takes a lot of the hiring logistics off our plate, and most importantly, has landed us with some of our top performing engineers who have been critical to shipping product at a high velocity.

  ### 20. Flawless service from an outstanding team

**Recommendations to others considering Terminal:**

Don't wait! Regardless of your team size or composition, they will take great care of you and get you up and running in unbelievable time.

I've gotten a ton of use out of their recruiting, HR, and payroll services, which I will continue to rely on very happily!

**What problems is Terminal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Terminal has been an amazing partner for helping me source amazing engineering talent in Canada and Latin America. They have placed some of the best engineers on the engineering teams I've been working with. They also serve as an employer of record for my remote teams and help with many of the HR related tasks.

  ### 22. High quality engineers, fast, and affordable

**Reviewed by:** Nat D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Terminal?**

The quality of the talent, speed at which we can hire, and cost compared to hiring locally.

Nothing, now that they've introduced a contractor product we have a lot of flexibility around our hiring with them.

**Recommendations to others considering Terminal:**

Contractor product is a great, easy way to test them out.

**What problems is Terminal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When we scale up a new company or product, Terminal helps us form the right engineering talent quickly and in a way that is flexible to our needs and budget.

  ### 23. Makes hiring out of country resources super easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Terminal?**

They handle all of the HR / admin work that I otherwise would need to figure out. Without them, working in Canada wouldn't be feasible.

**What do you dislike about Terminal?**

Wish we could hire roles other than engineering!

**What problems is Terminal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When bringing on employees from other countries, Terminal makes it really easy from an HR management perspective. Almost as easy as plug and play.

  ### 24. Fast hiring and great options

**Recommendations to others considering Terminal:**

it's great! Make sure you have realistic budget expectations

**What problems is Terminal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Need Engs fast that are affordable - and designers too!

  ### 25. Making you dreams come true withing your company

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Keleisha Grant G. | Regional Vendor Associate, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Terminal?**

It help to grow along with the people you work with and that's a plus for me.

**What do you dislike about Terminal?**

There is nothing to dislike. once you get the gang of it.

**Recommendations to others considering Terminal:**

Don't hesitate to get on board, you won't regret it.

**What problems is Terminal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

the issue I had with connecting with clients and recurting.

  ### 26. Downgraded Terminal.io

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlos C. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Terminal?**

Very comprehensive profiling of developers to match companies. They would really provide tests that would bring out if a developer is skillful or not so companies can decide well.

**What do you dislike about Terminal?**

They downgraded their range to a few countries only. They also limited viewing of companies to those who finish first their comprehensive profiling of developers

**Recommendations to others considering Terminal:**

If you are not within the companies they cater, it's not so useful. But if you do, they provide great service

**What problems is Terminal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Terminal.io helps companies connect to developers. It also helps developers reach multiple employers at once so the playing field is leveled as long as they are skilled and determined
