  ### 1. Top-Notch Security and Effortless Onboarding with Teleport

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zois P. | DevOps/Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

I appreciate Teleport's robust and fast onboarding process. The top-notch security features, including biometrics and 2FA, provide additional peace of mind. I find access to Kubernetes highly beneficial for my work. It effectively removes the operational and security friction associated with access management, making it invaluable for compliance through audits and session recordings. I also like that Teleport makes onboarding for new DevOps teams more straightforward by displaying a list of targets. Additionally, the product setup was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

Nothing in particular

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Teleport enhances compliance with audits, secures without exposed ports, eases onboarding for DevOps engineers, and removes operational and security friction in access management.

  ### 2. Unified Secure Access and Auditing in a single Consistent Workflow

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

unified access platform with single secure identity based approach. Audit is really good and engineers can access servicse and db in one consistent workflow

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

initial setup was quite hard and i found learning curve was quite heavy too

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

fragmentation of access across our servers, db and internal app. It benefts by reducing operational overhead and audit pain

  ### 3. Its nice and easy to use (some features)

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akash U. | Software Engineer 1, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

what i like most about teleport is how easy it makes secure access feel. i don’t have to deal with managing a bunch of ssh keys or jumping thru hoops just to get into servers or k8s clusters. it just works, and that saves me a lot of time and headache. also love the audit logs and how it works with sso. really solid tool tbh.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

sometimes the initial setup can feel a bit confusing if you're new to access mgmt tools. had to read the docs a couple times to really get it right.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

before teleport, managing ssh keys and access was kinda messy — like people would forget to revoke access or we’d have shared creds floating around. teleport fixes all that with role-based access, sso, and session logs. now access is way more secure and i don’t have to manually track who has what. it saves time and helps us stay compliant without the usual headache.

  ### 4. Powerful Access Management with a Bit of Complexity

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

I like that Teleport provides secure, certificate-based access to servers, databases, and Kubernetes clusters without needing a VPN. The session recording and audit logging features are incredibly useful for compliance and troubleshooting. It also integrates well with SSO providers and enforces strong identity-based access control, which helps simplify security across our infrastructure.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

The initial setup can be quite complex, especially for teams new to infrastructure-level access control. Some configuration options aren’t intuitive, and it can take time to understand how everything fits together—especially with self-hosted deployments. Also, while the documentation is detailed, it can feel overwhelming and sometimes lacks practical examples for specific use cases.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Teleport solves the problem of securely managing access to servers, databases, and Kubernetes without relying on VPNs or shared passwords. It uses certificate-based authentication and role-based access control to enhance security while simplifying user access. This improves our team’s productivity by enabling quick, secure connections and provides detailed audit logs for compliance and troubleshooting.

  ### 5. Very easy and secure access

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

I like how it uses single sign on and role based access, so permissions stay tight and traceable. It also records sessions automatically, which is great for audits and keeping things transparent. Overall, it simplifies infrastructure access while keeping security front and center.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

Setting it up initially was a bit complex, especially integrating with multiple cloud environments or SSO providers , it has a learning curve.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

What I really like about Teleport is how it uses Single Sign-On. Instead of managing separate passwords or SSH keys for every server, I can just log in once using my company account like through Google or Okta and get access to everything I need based on my role. It’s a lot more secure, and it also makes life easier when someone leaves the team because you don’t have to manually clean up access everywhere

  ### 6. Teleport allowed us to keep things simply, workable and traceable.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ricardo N. | Senior Cloud Support, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

Teleport allowed my organization to provide secure and manageable access (the only access) to a heterogenous group of resources. We have some k8s clusters, some cloud DB and some apps.
The very good SSO implementation (with roles mapping) was a decisive winner. It allow us to have team roles schema on our IDP and that was a highly sucessful and transformational change in our organization.
Our development and operations teams now have access to all they need and offboarding/onboardings within the teams are straightforward.

In addition, because roles can by highly configured, it allow us to have very good and proper security adequate resource access.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

What I believe that still need improvement is the DB setup. Each DB type with a diferenciate setup makes it difficult to add new DB types.
Also, some UI changes, were not liked by our guys.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had three main problems:
- Tecnhically: provide a unique way to access different types of resources. That was solved by Teleport by providing exactly what we were looking for.
- Security: provide a secure way that uses the team role based access that my organization is using
- Tracebility: have logs of what the users executed (specially the logins at the resources)

**Official Response from Lexi Todde:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Teleport! We're glad to hear that the SSO implementation and role-based access have been beneficial for your organization. We appreciate your feedback on the DB setup, and we will take it into consideration for future improvements. Out of curiosity, which UI changes were not liked?

  ### 7. Complete bait-and-switch vendor lock-in

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

The tool itself was great for access management.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

Teleport has decided to end support for its community edition after pushing users to adopt it and build their ecosystem. See: https://goteleport.com/blog/teleport-community-license/

Anyone self-hosting CE Teleport now just got completely screwed over as they have been locked into a surprise ~$70/seat bill for enterprise edition (plus implementation fee, even though you're already hosting it and just need a license key now)! Or, you could rebuild your entire network identiy management system on short notice instead!

This is a huge middle finger to anyone who adopted their solution early on and helped build their ecosystem. There's clearly immense revenue pressure at Gravitational right now and I would absolutely expect to be continuouly screwed over by them in any business relationship after this move.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It replaces SSH with a system that manages remote access with logging / auditing / user management / etc.

**Official Response from Ben Arent:**

> Teleport continues to support the Teleport Community edition, with updates, patches and feature releases.

Individuals are free to use Teleport Community Edition for personal and hobby use with no restrictions. Companies may use Teleport Community Edition on the condition they have less than 100 employees and less than $10MM in annual revenue (AR).

We are also committed to our open source community and are publishing the code for our open core under true open source AGPL v3. license available on our github.

Please read more information about community edition license changes in our announcement.

When it comes to our enterprise product pricing, it varies based on the product set and deployment scale.

  ### 8. Teleport is an access solution in an easy to use SaaS product

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David A. | Developer and sysadmin, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

Teleport allows us to control access to infrastructure in a secure and easy to use platform. It's very versatile as far as the variety of infrastructure it integrates with. The community Slack has been invaluable for finding solutions/assistance, and the Teleport team is quick to respond in Slack, patient, and willing to follow through with their support. We're using a self-hosted instance of the Community version.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

The documentation can be slightly lacking at times and some of the configuration must be done manually, even through the UI.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're using Teleport to manage SSH access for our developers rather than dealing with SSH keys. Additionally, it provides easier monitoring of SSH access.

**Official Response from Lexi Todde:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Teleport, David! We're glad to hear that Teleport has been valuable for controlling access to your infrastructure and that you find the community Slack and support team helpful. We appreciate your feedback on the documentation and configuration, and we're continuously working to improve these areas.

  ### 9. An amazing piece of kit

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

Over the many years of using Teleport, it's been an essential piece of my infrastructure to help secure access, and centralize my infrastructure into one dashboard, without having to jump around. I can also classify resources using custom labels (which can use the output of commands or be a static value) which can directly feed into ACL's, I'm not sure how I could go without it.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

Sometimes the UI doesn't show all the level of detail you'd expect, but on the other hand the docs are very detailed so more often than not, what I'm looking for is explained there, just means I need to do a bit of hunting around. Regrettably, I'm still stuck on the Community Edition as Enterprise edition is cost prohibitive for my use case.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Recorded sessions are extremely helpful to recall what's happened in the past.
Less complexity with server management.

**Official Response from Lexi Todde:**

> We're thrilled to hear that Teleport has been an essential part of your infrastructure, providing centralized access and resource classification! We appreciate your feedback on the UI and we're continuously working to improve the user experience. We appreciate your support and feedback :)

  ### 10. Privileged Access with Ease and delight!

**Reviewed by:** Mario K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

The whole philosophy of zero trust approach in combination with delightful user experience for both the security team auditing the perimeter and the end user the devops engineer who uses the tool on a regular basis

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

Nothing, the best option on the market for modern startups running cloud workload!

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Teleport helps us implement Privileged Access Management the way how it should be done by easily enforcing best practice of Zero-Trust principles in a modern UX for devops teams and fullfill all compliance needs for complex regulations and industry standards.

  ### 11. Teleport: A Comprehensive and User-Friendly Access Plane for Modern Infrastructure

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akshat J. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

- Unified access across all Infrastructure

- Zero trust Security Model

- Ease of Use

- Comprehensive Auditing and Logging

- Wide range of Integrations

- Customer Support

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

- Learning Curve

- Mobile Experience

- Customization

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Complexity: The current day technological infra-structure consists of very many types of resources and they are sourced from numerous vendors. This is much more work than controlling accesses to all these sources. With teleport, companies have one point where they can control all the infrastructure resources with lower risks of mistakes made by people.

Security: Modern infrastructure cannot be sufficiently protected using traditional access control methods like passwords. To this end, teleport offers several security functions like the one time passwords, restricted access, and constant surveillance that facilitate improvement in the quality of an organization’s IT infrastructure.

Compliance: There are numerous compliance requirements that organizations have to do regarding access controls. Teleport will assist organizations in fulfilling the stipulations by offering audit trails and logs, and compliance reports for demonstration purposes.

  ### 12. Teleport makes managing multiple Kubernetes Clusters a breeze

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

It is well thought out from a use and security standpoint. They have covered all teh baes. Of particular interest to us i steh Aadi capabiloities as we plan to have contractors monitor certain aspects of our production clusters. and can record and peer observe their activity, all bundled under a short lived access token.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

Very LIttle, the only issue for us is to figure out our OAuth integrations, we are unable to do this without deploying the enterprise version .. The OS version does allow github for oauth, however the roles do not map. Our user models will be very complex and managed via keycloak. To be able to test and try various scenarios with a limited dev team user base (say 10 members) before deploying enterprise woudl be a huge advantage to us .. Teleport has many options and we would want to try the best aporach that worked for us, as well as looking at how we can integrate all or tooling with the roles driven from Keycloak.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centrally Managed Access. We are OSS right now but will move to a Keycloak-based OIDC commercial teleport version in the future

  ### 13. Teleport makes supporting remote sites easier and more secure

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samuel H. | Data Center Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

Generally speaking, it just works. They are actively maintaining and developing new features.

It makes securely accessing systems and apps inside (many) private network sites WAY easier and with a really nice user interface ( not just the Web UI).

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

Documentation is sometimes a challenge to find, but their Slack channel is quite active and supportive (both official Teleport and the user community).

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Teleport is allowing us to implement easier access to resources inside (many) remote, private network locations with a better UI and no more VPN headaches.

**Official Response from Lexi Todde:**

> We're glad to hear that Teleport is working well for you and that you appreciate the active maintenance and development of new features. We're also happy to hear that our Slack channel has been supportive for you.

We understand the importance of documentation and are continuously working to improve it. Are there features or changes to the site would help make our docs more accessible?

Thank you for your feedback!

  ### 14. Powerful & elegant bastion solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

Once you assimilated the teleport learning curve, Teleport is quite easy to deploy and maintain.
It offers very efficient bastion solution to access your systems wherever they are, including demilitarized zones (as long as there is a gateway to go out of course).
The trusted cluster feature is also a killer feature in our use-case as it allows to connect different clusters and control them in an unified way.
Also, the ability to reverse-proxy web apps and access them through Teleport allow us to provide a fully secured, 0-trusted access to internal apps not necessarily designed with best-practices regarding cyber security (if you know what I mean...). It's even possible to delegate authn & authz to Teleport using JWT tokens and so on !

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

The role managment, which is a central feature in Teleport, can be touchy to manage, especially while roles and cluster size is growing. The WebUI also miss some customization features. For example I'd like to configure hwo much assets are displayed in a page, or some customized views with specific filters...

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Teleport offers us a 0-trusted platform to access our assets in a secure way.Somewhat a bastion, but nicer

  ### 15. Teleport saves me hours each day and makes things SO much more secure.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter N. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

I am running this self hosted. The setup is easy, the product is actively developed and just works.

The support forums are awsome and the help is always on the money.

I use the product daily and only use a fraction of its features at the moment but will be increasing that over time. It works so well with all of my infrastructure.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

The release cycles can be quick, but that's OK.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It removes the need for me to run a bastion server and punch holes in firewalls.

  ### 16. Rich security features and lots of convenience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

I've been using Teleport mainly for servers, applications, and databases. It's very easy to setup and I no longer need to explicitly add every user's ssh key into the servers for them to ssh into it. Now it's done through role access and permissions. The applications and databases feature is something I value as well since I no longer need to grant them direct access to the applications and dbs .. and now it all goes through Teleport with auditing enabled.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

Too many teleport instances could be hard to manage and I had some challenges trying to setup trusted clusters for various teleport instances.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- bulk user access to servers and applications
- not exposing internal dbs to end users directly
- all activities are audited and can be reviewed for security purposes

  ### 17. Amazing Experience, great infrastrucutral help for the resource managements and platform actions

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aryan P. | Tech Blogger, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

Networking Opportunities, Threat and cluster Security, Open Sorce as a result of which a lot of more students and technical writers as well liek me are coming forward to contribute in it and get to knwo more about its infrastructure, functionslity and future reliability & then the Slack Teleport Community breaks all the bridging gap of communication between the developer team and the suers, customers nad the students who want to learn more about it

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

Most of the folks and me myself is also very inpressed by its services and utilization but many of the folks sometimes find some problems related to the documentations and Update freequency, although i haven't find em much of the time but many of em' have said to find it sometimes otherwise for most of the time it runs smoothly

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By offering a centralized system for managing user identities, integrating with existing identity providers like for cloud-based identity services to leverage existing user management systems streamlining the onboarding and offboarding processes & ensuring that access is granted.

  ### 18. Works well for Kubernetes access at scale

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

The Proxy Applications is my favorite feautre. That and Kubernetes access would be second.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

The Operator SSO resources do not allow SecretRefs for "secrets"!

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allows granting access to Kubernetes clusters and web applications served from those clusters without directly granting access. It allows the cluster and applications be completely private.

**Official Response from Lexi Todde:**

> Thank you so much for your review! We're thrilled to hear that you appreciate the Proxy Applications feature and the benefits of Kubernetes access with Teleport. We've noted your feedback about the Operator SSO resources and will look into improving support for SecretRefs. It's great to know that Teleport is enabling you to securely manage access to private Kubernetes clusters and applications.

  ### 19. The golden standard for zero trust access

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lorenzo S. | Application Security Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

As a security researcher and consultant, I've reviewed countless platforms and solutions intended to address the evolving challenges of secure access. Gravitational Teleport stands out not only for its modern approach to the problem but also for the meticulous attention to detail evident in its design and implementation.
I also had the chance in the past to audit the Teleport codebase, and it revealed best-in-class software engineering practices.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

Teleport's comprehensive suite of features may introduce a layer of complexity that smaller teams might find overwhelming at first. While this could lead to underutilization of the platform's full capabilities, I personally witnessed some colleagues deploying Teleport even on their home network! With dedication and proper guidance it's entirely feasible for individual enthusiasts or small teams to harness its potential effectively.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I recently advised on and audited a Teleport cluster deployment for a very large organization. This saved the customer's team potentially months or even years of development time that would have been spent on a subpar internal tool. Addressing secure access problems requires a significant degree of security expertise, and many internal security teams often lack the necessary resources to handle these issues appropriately.

  ### 20. Teleport is enabling us to reach FedRAMP regulations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dave M. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

The environments we currently have the Teleport service deployed in, are heavily reliant on AWS resources. With this being said, the Teleport application has numerous AWS integration features, that have enabled automated process around infrastructure discovery, inventory, and interaction. Having these key features at our hands, has increased overall environment insight and productivity.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

There was a slight learning curve, when running the services in FIPs mode, and deploying the solution in a GovCloud environment. Seems theres limited documentation on doing this successfully.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Teleport has enabled us to check many of the boxes, in regards to FedRAMP readiness, regulation, and compliancy. Providing out of the boxes FIPs mode, has added an increase advantage for the team, and the Cisco Defense Orchestra Org.

  ### 21. Access management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

- The UI is clean and easy to use.
- The customer support is fast to response.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

Extensive documentation and sometime it feels like too much documentation and have to refer multiple pages.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy access to the clusters through ssh.

**Official Response from Lexi Todde:**

> Thank you so much for your review! We're glad to hear that you find our UI clean and easy to use, and that our customer support is fast to respond :)

We appreciate your feedback about the extensive documentation, and we are continuously working to make improvements. We're happy to hear that Teleport is providing you with easy access to clusters through SSH.

  ### 22. Efficient Identity solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abdurrachman M. | Software Engineer - Growth Pricing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

What I like best about Teleport is its Universal Connectivity feature and the robustness of its Audit Logs. Universal Connectivity enables access to remote devices across various networks, which is particularly valuable in today's distributed environments. This feature aligns well with the diverse nature of modern infrastructure. Additionally, the platform's Audit Logs provide a comprehensive record of security events and session activities, offering a crucial tool for monitoring and analyzing potential security incidents. The combination of these features underscores Teleport's commitment to both accessibility and security, making it a standout solution for managing infrastructure access.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

While Teleport offers numerous valuable features, one area that could be improved is the documentation regarding Ephemeral Certificates and Biometric Authentication. These innovative security measures are at the core of Teleport's enhanced access control, but if the documentation surrounding their implementation and usage is lacking, it might pose challenges for users who are trying to take full advantage of these features. Clear and comprehensive documentation would not only ensure that users can leverage these security enhancements effectively but also contribute to a smoother onboarding experience for new adopters.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Teleport addresses several critical challenges that organizations face in managing infrastructure access. One of the standout benefits for me is how it simplifies the implementation of Single Sign-On (SSO) with clients. By utilizing Teleport's capabilities, I've been able to streamline the SSO process, enhancing the security and efficiency of authentication for both myself and my clients. This not only reduces the complexity of managing access but also strengthens the overall security posture. Teleport's ability to tackle this challenge has been particularly advantageous, demonstrating its capacity to provide practical solutions for real-world access management scenarios.

  ### 23. Teleport replaced our custom Bastion server with many features

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rene S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

I like the option to a have a free version to start with. Single point of configuration for user accounts and access rights. It's easy to implement and start with. The audit option is easy to monitor and provide proof of work.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

I would like to have the option to buy a small license for homelab usage. Features like RDP into machines without domain connection could have a hugh value to the users. Even Azure Entra ID connection could be interesting in homelab, as Microsoft provides a free developer license to tinker with.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a one stop solution for manageing access rights was a hugh problem for us. We had a SSH bastion, a RDP Session host and a VPN solution to access these two systems. Teleport fixed all of this. One option for login, MFA and combined SSH, Windows and Application access are the most beneficial features for us.

  ### 24. Teleport eased access & management to our servers replacing our custom SSH bastion

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

We previously ran a custom SSH bastion that required manual intervention when adding new users & servers, but Teleport saved us by easily managing users and roles as well as the awesome security features it comes with - replacing SSH keys with robust SSH certificates that are short lived, which drastically improved our security posture.

When we started working with Kubernetes, access for developers to these clusters was simplified and strengthened with its support for Kubernetes clusters and PostgreSQL databases as well.

We also have some internal applications guarded by Teleport with its Application Access feature, where you can secure those applications behind Teleport's Auth server but securely access it over the public internet. It's truly amazing!

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

Honestly, I am yet to find any problem or fault with Teleport, no issues, perfectly works well for my organization.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Secure access to servers with short lived SSH certificates and mandatory 2FA.
- Secure access to Kubernetes clusters and PostgreSQL databases in our organization.
- Access requests.

  ### 25. Teleport has allowed us to streamline easy access to company infrastructure

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

What we (and our users) like best about Teleport is that it unifies discovery of resources and actual access to it in one unified platform that is cloud agnostic and works the same for all (supported) services.

In our regulated industry, being able to set review-based access policies, and being able to do session recording/replay are major strong points as well.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

We operate on Microsoft Azure, which until recently (Teleport release 14.x) got very little support compared to AWS and GCP. In addition, the Kubernetes operator and Helm chart for Teleport (when not using the hosted/cloud product), while not terribly bad, could be better, especially around how secrets are managed/injected.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It unifies discovery of resources and actual access to it in one unified platform that is cloud agnostic and works the same for all (supported) services.

In our regulated industry, being able to set review-based access policies, and being able to do session recording/replay are two other problems that Teleport helps us solve.

  ### 26. I would recommend teleport to anyone struggling to maintain authentication and app exposure issues.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

- Ease of use
- Upgrade process is smooth
- Provides useful audit information
- Greate UI for visualizing infrastructure

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

Nothing major to report, but I would say making it easier to refesh the local cert data the agents store would be nice in case we need to change Teleport cluster names or whatnot.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Have one proxy to expose and authenicate to all of our Applications and services.

**Official Response from Lexi Todde:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive feedback about Teleport! We're thrilled to hear that you find it easy to use, with a smooth upgrade process and useful audit information. We appreciate your suggestion about making it easier to refresh local cert data.

It's great to hear that Teleport is helping you with authentication and app exposure for all your applications and services. If you have any more suggestions or feedback in the future, please feel free to reach out. We're here to help and support you in any way we can.

  ### 27. Win-win of increased security and productivity

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexander C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

Teleport has rendered access to our internal resources significantly more secure. Also, the user experience has improved, leading to higher productivity for our developers.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

The configuration of access control lists can be tedious as we base it on groups that are set externally by our SSO and the labels on our internal resources. As they are both out of our direct control they sometimes become out of sync and require maintenance.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Teleport provides a system of access logs of our internal resources. These are then centralised in a log management tool for ease of analysis and record keeping. This helps us achieve certain compliance requirements that are set out in various security standards.

  ### 28. Excellent Access Control and Auditing Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bobby R. | Systems Administrator, Education Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

Ease of use with Okta integration, and it's a great interface to manage systems. I use it every day!

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

Wish we had more licenses to add more co-admins.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is allowing us to record sessions, control access, and encrypt the whole experience.

**Official Response from Lexi Todde:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Teleport easy to use and that the Okta integration is working well for you. Thank you for your review of Teleport :)

  ### 29. Overall amazing product that simplifies server access

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matic B. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

The UI. We are used to the Apache guacamole and this is far better. And the new server-adding feature (after we upgraded from v5 to the latest) is simply amazing too. The tool is intuitive and honestly, it just works.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

Some features could be available on the free/community plan since the enterprise version simply makes it unviable for smaller companies to upgrade. It's just too expensive. I would like to see all apart from truly enterprise features on the free plan or a new plan in the middle where we can pick features we need on top of the community and only pay for those.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems were manual adding of SSH keys and sharing passwords across all system administrators or outside contributors. With Teleport we can easily add users and give them access in an instant and revoke it too.

  ### 30. Best user experience, ease of implementation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

Extremely easy to deploy and manage (ease of implementation), provides almost all the features we need out-of-the-box, very good perfermance comparing to other products in the market, low infra cost, very good customer support, UI is sleek, end users love it!

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

1. If Teleport can expose some monitoring dashboards to customer admins (e.g. Total number of logins in a day/month/year, number of failed logins in a day/month/year, number of failed host/app/k8s/desktop connectivities in a day/month/year, user geography, connectivity latency based on user geography, etc.)
2. If Teleport can build in integration with 3rd party ticketing/workflow systems like ServiceNow for access request/approval

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Provide PAM solution in our Cloud environment for end users to securely access production and non-production systems with streamlined user experience while meets the rigorous multi-national security standards.

  ### 31. Using teleport for access to K8 clusters

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

I like that we can use it to broker access to our various Kubernetes clusters without having to open inbound access to the API servers. I also like that we can assign teleport roles to users and those groups are passed along to the Kubernetes API server and we can map them to Roles/ClusterRoles

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

Teleport doesnt currently have support for headless logins (no web browser) when working with kubernetes clusters. However I understand that headless logins work for accessing other types of resources (SSH) so I'm hopeful that this can be done for K8 in the future too

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Teleport gives users a single place to login (SSO) that supports MFA after which they can interact with our various kubernetes clusters. Developers only have access to preprod clusters while operations teams have full access to all clusters.

  ### 32. Perfect solution for zero trust access

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam S. | Senior Platform Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

Teleport has been quick to setup, while giving us confidence in improving security across our platform.
The Teleport customer service and community is often quick to assist, and they're generally always on top of feature requests and ensuring they're supporting the most recent technologies within their intergrations.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

OIDC is behind the enterprise tier, given the nature of the product, this should be something avaliable by default across all tiers.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A single secure dashboard that exposes various internal services that have no authentication. And allowing RBAC type permissions to various endpoints (such as RDBMS) with clear audit history.

  ### 33. Simple, secure and auditable server acess

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kenzi M. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

It's effortless to use. I am able to give access to remote desktops or other applications to end users who might not be so technically inclined. It works with pretty much everything I would want to secure, databases, ssh, remote desktops - I can monitor everyone's access to everything. Bringing on contracted developers or administrators is much easier knowing that everything they do is recorded and they only have access to what they need.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

There are a lot of moving parts. Set up on anything but Kubernetes is a chore if you want it on your own hardware. I would love to have a docker stack I can deploy for testing or smaller installations.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows users access to all our infrastructure without having to install multiple VPNs or other software. Management is simple and centralised in the teleport software. The skill level to use teleport is also very low, so anyone in a company can use it.

**Official Response from Lexi Todde:**

> Thank you so much for your review of Teleport, Kenzi! We're so glad this works with everything you've got in your infrastructure stack. We understand your frustration with setup, and we're always here to help. Thank you for your continued support :)

  ### 34. Teleport has upgraded our security

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt H. | Devops Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

Our organization greatly values the simplicity and effectiveness of Teleport's authentication and authorization system with RBAC, which seamlessly manages access to both our cloud and on-premises resources. Deploying Teleport on Kubernetes using the official helm chart is effortless, and the same can be said for setting up agents on both Kubernetes and regular Linux machines. The guided setup for resources like RDS is truly outstanding, simplifying the process even further. In short, Teleport makes everything remarkably easy.

One of the standout features we appreciate is the access to audit logs and the ability to control access to internal systems, particularly databases, without the need to modify firewalls or security groups. The user experience is fantastic, especially when utilizing Teleport Connect. It eliminates the complexities of generating and securing SSH keys, as well as the hassle of setting up a tunnel through a bastion host every time a business user wants to connect to internal resources.

Additionally, Teleport impresses us with the frequency of meaningful updates, demonstrating the Teleport team's commitment to staying on top of security concerns associated with such a platform. We also find it commendable that the Teleport web UI promptly notifies us when a new version is available, ensuring that we are aware of essential security updates.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

The YAML files can be tricky to maintain as they become verbose for all user groups. We did some custom automation but wished Teleport would have something in-house.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Teleport assists in achieving compliance and enhances control over break-glass scenarios. The recording and auditing capabilities provided by Teleport are valuable not only for investigations but also for troubleshooting complex issues. Short-lived certificates offered by Teleport eliminate the need for passwords in most cases.

  ### 35. Teleport is the pragmatic access management solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Codin M. | Sr. Cloud Operations Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

Self Hosted
Support for a large array of endpoints (PostgreSQL, Oracle, Mongo, Redis, cloud or self hosted ones, Applications, Windows VMs, Linux boxes, K8S, MacOS, etc.)
Ready to Go in 10 minutes
Session Recording, Audit Logs, "Over The Shoulder" feature for access, to supervise the occasional access
Extremely flexible user/role management
Nothing major locked behind the Enterprise version

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

The project is moving fast, so sometimes documentation might not be up to date, luckily it's easy enough for any tech person to figure it out, or contact the support fellows.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a PAM solution that can be implemented very fast to cover some gaps, Teleport fits in that gap nicely, providing all the functionality we need in terms of user provisioning, access management and passwordless authentication. Users can now use tsh to login to servers they're authorized, we have logging of session and actions, all that and more for the price of nothing!

  ### 36. Comprehensive authentication and access control solution with some administrative challenges

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tyler R. | Director Of Global Support, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

Teleport is a well-rounded solution, with specific high points in the number and type of resources it can manage, the product's scalability, the vast number of plugins it can use for user access control, and the product's modularity.

The CLI experience is fantastic, and the UI - including the http server, the access control rules, and the simple configuration files, make the initial setup simple.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

When using the on-prem solution - which is ideal from an end compliance perspective - It works best when you have a team with a dedicated resource or resources to manage the teleport infrastructure and user access. While this is well documented, the solution's modularity means it's also a bit complicated to get up and running. Maintenance requires someone at least familiar with the product, and there's a steep learning curve.

The OSS product has also gotten less powerful as Teleport has reduced its scope to add more value to the enterprise product. This is understandable, but my team has slowly reduced our Teleport footprint as we don't want to invest the money in the enterprise solution for small-scale solutions more efficiently served by in-house solutions or VPN based access control.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Teleport to restrict and manage access to internal resources in our cloud product with easy and scalable provisioning for automated deployment. The included audit log and CLI access mean we don't need a secondary auditing solution.

  ### 37. Easy, efficient, and secure

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh V. | Senior Software Engineer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

My organization really appreciates that we can have very straightforward authn/authz with RBAC in front of our cloud and on-prem resources using Teleport. Deployment on Kubernetes using the official helm chart is a breeze. Setting up agents on Kubernetes using the helm chart is a breeze. Setting up agents on ordinary Linux machines is a breeze. The guided setup for resources like RDS is phenomenal. It's all so easy!

We love having access to the audit logs and controlling access to internal systems, especially databases, without needing to poke holes in firewalls/security groups. The user experience is pretty fantastic when Teleport Connect is used. It's much more straightforward than having a business user generate an SSH key, keep it secure, and remember to set up a tunnel through a bastion host whenever they want to connect to internal resources.

The frequency of meaningful updates to Teleport is excellent. The Teleport team works diligently to stay on top of the security concerns around a platform such as this. I also appreciate that the Teleport web UI indicates when a new version is available, making security updates particularly noticeable.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

Honestly, I don't have anything bad to say about Teleport. We have been using the self-hosted open-source version for a few months on Kubernetes, and it has been rock solid. We don't have it configured for high availability, so when we apply updates, our users can experience a brief interruption in access. However, that is certainly not a problem with Teleport itself. We haven't taken the time to meet the requirements for a proper highly available cluster.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Teleport secures access to specific resources for specific users with short-lived access credentials. We can see who performed what action against which resource and when they did it. It's glorious!

  ### 38. A safety net for your business

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simon H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

The ability to shield our infra through a single, secure jump box is a great feature. Having the option to audit users in such a precise way has the greatest potential benefits for our business. The documentation is really well put together and I am confident the team at Teleport will continue to develop new useful features in the future.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

The platform requires tremendous buy-in from your stakeholders. This can't really be helped, but some supporting literature to help nudge key people would be great.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Teleport provides a broad, safe bastion to control user access and control. The ability to review other developers changes is the most exciting ability. We are looking at deployment in the near future.

  ### 39. One of the best access control tools of the market

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

- Access Request Mechanisms
- Infra as coded roles management
- Multiple targets support

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

- Not being plugged to AWS SSO directly to manage AWS Access Request

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Provide short access for super administrator roles for various targets (AWS, Databases, Kubernetes clusters)

**Official Response from Lexi Todde:**

> We're thrilled to hear that you find Teleport's access control tools to be one of the best on the market! Thank you for highlighting the features you like best, such as the access request mechanisms, infra as coded roles management, and multiple targets support.

  ### 40. Easy and efficient access management

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ravindra J. | Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

Teleport helped me to connect from anywhere and one can connect to remote devices on different networks. it also helped me to identify any security incidents and threats with the help of audit logs. great tool for access management.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

We haven't faced any issues with Teleport and we only used their community /freemium version. We found the price on the higher side and thats why we couldn't continue. Hopefully, they will keep updating the tool which would eliminate any downsides and keeps on improving it.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basically we have been looking for a tool for identity and access management. We thought of giving Teleport a try and got the freemium version. We used to have different passwords for different applications and accessing those application was a lot of hassle but with teleport, it became easy to manage those password for different applications

  ### 41. Easy and convenient way to secure your resources

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

The best in teleport is its easy use—no need to do any workshops for your co-workers, whether an application or a node. The second thing I like is the excellent, responsive support willing to help. What is also remarkable is that users don't store any keys and passwords on their disk, just short-lived certificates.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

The documentation may be more organized; sometimes, it needs to visit a few pages until I find what I need. The information is in the docs, but I must search for it.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Teleport solves user management problems on the endpoints. No need to create a user on a machine or expose it to the internet. It's way more secure than before when I had to tell any machine, redirect some ports, or attach to the public interface. Just run teleport and grant the role to the user.

  ### 42. Has been overall positive.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Corey W. | Communications Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

The number of integrations and resources I can manage with teleport.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

Missing SSO and access request in the community version.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can now manage local resources with one tool. Also I am able to use Telport as a proxy for my local services that I do not want fully publically facing.

  ### 43. Very user friendly and easy to manage

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hariharan C. | Software Engineer-Site Reliability, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

The easy integrations and easy maintenance

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

Constant upgrades maybe that's major it in our environment

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We solved the issue of slate pem keys and moved to a completely keyless authentication

**Official Response from Lexi Todde:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Teleport user-friendly and easy to manage. Our goal is to make integrations and maintenance as seamless as possible. We understand that constant upgrades can be disruptive, and we're continuously working to minimize any impact on your environment. It's great to hear that Teleport has helped you transition to keyless authentication! Is there something we could do to make your upgrading experience easier?

  ### 44. Secure workflow, easy setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher J. | Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

It was Super easy to get started with teleport. We followed their guide and got our bastion host set up in a day. We added the ability to sign in with github which makes our workflow for securing our hosts super easy. We now only have to remove access to github and the ability for someone to deploy has been removed. Really cool for an open source project.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

Setting up github actions didn't work for us. Everything in the guide worked when we started a brand new repo, but in the end we had to bail on using this feature because there was no way we could figure out how to debug teleport on the bastian host. That being said, I think it would have worked if we had started from scratch on a brand new repo.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Teleport removes the need for us to pass around ssh keys or adding them to our AWS account unnecessarily. But it does it so well. It fixed the next problems we didn't know we would have by making it super easy to manage people as they come and go from our organization.

  ### 45. Easy and Convenient Access Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pete N. | Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

The product has good flexibility with regards to the control and creation of users, roles, etc.
It helps the access of resources in the infrastructure and has the ability to automate which is really good
It is easy to configure, maintain and debug with a good audit log capability.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

We do not have anyhting bad to say about it, we are not long using it but it works well for us so far

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The product is solving our user management problems, meaning there is no need to expose the machines to the internet.

  ### 46. love the versatility

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

Teleport Connect - its easy to use, handy and replaces some of the tools that I use day to day

Setup and upgrade is also easy and the HA implementation works great.

keeps getting better every version upgrades and customer support is responsive

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

implementation requires some patience and digging around to get it up and going but once it is setup, its easy to manage. Docs could be better with more diverse examples

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralized and audited access . replaces 1 or more tools used when accessing a resource. Secured access to resources

  ### 47. Most Secure way to access your infrastructure

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

The best thing I like about Teleport is it's main feature, Zero Tust Security. Using Teleport I can access my infratructure (like Virtual Machines, clusters, etc.) securely using their Multifactor authentication.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

What I disklike about it is their prerequisites required for initial setup. Though they also give the reason for why they need it, i still find it bit ununsual. Like they require you setup as specific subdomain on you main domain, and on that subdomain, another variable subdomain should be setup too!

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Teleport, we used VPN to allow users to connect to infrastructure like Databases, VMs, Clusters, etc. But we came to know that many ISPs blocked the VPN, and in India, VPNs are even hard to use, whether it is public or Private. So, our employees were facing frequent connection issues. To fix that we needed some solution other than VPNs and Teleport came to help us. It helped us connect to infrastructure securely without using VPN.

  ### 48. Teleport is an easy way to control and audit server access

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

We use teleport to control and monitor access to our fleet of servers. It was extremely easy to set up and instantly gave us fine grained control over who could access various servers in the fleet, as well as an audit trail of who logged in and what was run, which we needed for soc2 compliance.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

When using the GitHub connector, I've found that users in the UI aren't always synced, which results in teleport only showing a subset of users (I assume those who have logged in recently). It's not a huge issue but can be confusing.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Teleport allows us to give systems administrators and developers access to our infrastructure without complex account creation processes. It also makes it easy to track who has access to which systems, and when they were accessed which we required for SOC2 certification.

  ### 49. Very flexible cloud access control system

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Håkon S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

Flexibility with regards to the composition of users, roles, etc., easy to understand, configure and debug and a very good audit log for debugging or troubleshooting. "Role merging" is a key component for us, where users with different permissions get a single user which they can use instead of having to change contexts to access different parts.

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

YAML can be tedious to maintain and work with, especially with many user groups and very "ABAC/RBAC-focused" permission sets. It's simple to automate with some scripts, though.

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're using AWS and having separate roles and/or accounts for each domain our developers are working on is a pain, having to assume-role and/or log in to a new session to view other resources. Teleport can merge all these accesses into one profile so we can access all resources without having to change scope.

  ### 50. Easy Access

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel B. | Head Of Service Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Teleport?**

Integrating with SSO allows us to easily manage access to resources and database

**What do you dislike about Teleport?**

The auditing functions could do with some enhacements

**What problems is Teleport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With a complicate architecture and varying levels of environment access, Teleport lets us clearly define access.
