Tekmetric has been a total game-changer for managing our shop workflow. Its intuitive, modern interface makes it easy to write up estimates, create detailed job templates, and build inspection reports without a lot of extra steps. A few standout features make a massive difference in our day-to-day operations. Job and estimate creation is especially streamlined: the layout is clean and fast, and writing jobs, searching parts, and organizing labor times takes a fraction of the time compared to legacy management systems. The digital vehicle inspections (DVIs) are also seamless. Being able to send clear inspections directly to customers via text or email, complete with photos and notes, builds trust quickly and has noticeably improved sales approvals. Workflow management is another strong point. Moving repair orders through the shop pipeline keeps advisers and technicians on the same page, which helps cut down on bottlenecks and miscommunication. On top of that, the cloud-based access is genuinely convenient. We can pull up shop data, review reports, or track productivity from anywhere on a tablet or computer, which gives us a lot of flexibility. I like how all-inclusive the platform is. It is very user friendly and easy to learn how to use. Visually it looks nice and is easy to navigate. The customer support is helpful and quick to answer. We use PartsTech for most every part order so having that integration along with Back Office, has made this process so much simpler. One thing we were concerned about coming into using Tekmetric was the performance consistence because we have used other shop management software that crashed often, but that has not been the case with Tekmetric. Even when there have been technical issues, the tracker to see how resolution is coming along was a welcomed surprise. You don't have to guess if something is being done about it, you can see when they are working on it and at what times the issue at hand has been affecting shops. We have only used the AI function for quick questions (the chatbot) but it was helpful and quick to resolve the question so that was nice. Also the pricing is competitive. As a small shop, this is one of the biggest investments we have but for the things offered and the set up and support, we honestly cant imagine not having it. I am not originally from the automotive industry, my husband is and I have come in through our business. As of right now, the only thing I am not a fan of is how many steps there are that feel repetitive to do returns and things of that nature. I assume that many steps make more sense for full blow physical shops, whereas we are currently a mobile mechanic. It is probable just a user issue but with how many steps there are, sometimes I forget to run returns all the way through because they are on so many pages. Also, Im not sure if this is really for here but Back Office is NOT user friendly at all. I understand you get with the Back Office Rep to do mapping but it still feels like we have minimal control when it goes through that integration. For inventory purposes, it would be helpful to track the cost and the specific parts we used to build it, without generating a huge parts list for the customer. I love how Tekmetric's inventory feature helps us by ensuring we don't order more parts than necessary and redirects us to a part that is in stock when building an invoice. The canned jobs feature is huge for us because it enables us to build invoices quickly and efficiently, cutting the invoice-making time in half since we do many of the same jobs. Tekmetric helps solve communication issues by clearly showing what work is completed and what needs to be done. It keeps all our records in one easy place, eliminating the need for paper and simplifying data storage. I also like that using Tekmetric is simple and straightforward, especially compared to our previous software, Reesa. The setup was quick, taking about 15 minutes, and there are plenty of videos explaining how to use the platform. I like how Tekmetric really takes care of a lot of the communication for me, which is a big thing since I'm a one-man shop the automations of the user interface such as completion of work and parts notifications make is super easy to follow process. The automated features that handle communication with my customers, like when the car is done or sending off an estimate, are super helpful to me. I also appreciate how easy it was to initially set up Tekmetric for my shop. The pricing is moderate but the features and ease of use make it more then worth the price.
