## About TechNews
The most powerful platform for promoting tech companies.

## TechNews Reviews
  ### 1. Simple and concise

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2020

**What do you like best about TechNews?**

I like that TechNews is very straightforward to use with their navigation, their UI is easy to understand how to navigate, and that they have a great deal of functions/search options we can use to streamline our searches. Analytics are also great, and we can track a great deal of things like traffic and hot topics.

**What do you dislike about TechNews?**

It's better than other similar sites so I don't have much complaint about it!

**Recommendations to others considering TechNews:**

Simple and effective, learning curve to use TechNews is basically zero

**What problems is TechNews solving and how is that benefiting you?**

How to better reach out to those with the relevant information I need in terms of media coverage. Properly sourcing and finding the right people definitely saves a lot of time in the long run, and gets me what I need ASAP.

  ### 2. TechNews helps find untapped media

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2019

**What do you like best about TechNews?**

TechNews is great at finding untapped media resources. It's very easy to enter a topic you'd like to find a journalist under and locate a group of people - this would take hours to do otherwise.

**What do you dislike about TechNews?**

There's not much I don't like about TechNews. It's very easy and user-friendly -- you can save lists, too, which is a great capability. It's a really intuitive platform that makes searching and creating media lists very easy for the user.

**Recommendations to others considering TechNews:**

TechNews is a great resource for finding media in certain categories or locations. It's been a fantastic product for my company to find and build relationships with media that was previously unknown to us.

**What problems is TechNews solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TechNews helps us find media previously unknown to us. This way, we can begin building new relationships with journalists who we would have never been able to reach out to without the tool.

  ### 3. Useful for targeted pitching

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2018

**What do you like best about TechNews?**

I LOVE that TechNews pulls up articles written with certain search terms. This feature is so helpful for targeted outreach. For example, when I'm looking to build a media list on a specific topic, say "data aggregation" or "uber" I can find relevant and recent stories (and therefore reporters). This is a feature that they do 100x better than Cision. With Cision it is impossible to get really narrow and specific coverage areas, and you can't see recent articles of each reporter or link to their coverage on their site. TechNews is great that way. They also show you how many articles each reporter and publication has written on the topic at the top of every search, so you can quickly see if it's something they regularly cover or may just have been a one-time thing.

**What do you dislike about TechNews?**

TechNews can be a little janky sometimes and it could use an update. They also only really have tech reporters in their database, I'd love for them to expand it because sometimes I can't find relevant reporters. For example if I'm pitching a tech app update but it's for personal finance. They won't have personal finance reporters.

**What problems is TechNews solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TechNews helps find really targeted and relevant articles for various terms at a much faster rate than crawling through GoogleSearch. It helps us build media lists faster and with more relevant contacts.

  ### 4. Indispensable PR Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2019

**What do you like best about TechNews?**

Saves countless person hours by letting you figure out exactly who to pitch, right now. Don't waste your time and the reporters'. Works great in pitches and reports too, given it's a gorgeous interface. The events listing is another giant time saver.

**What do you dislike about TechNews?**

Nothing can see 100% of influencers out there, but TechNews comes close. Morning monitoring and measurement type features would be interesting to consider incorporating.

**What problems is TechNews solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding influencers (editors, reporters, analysts, bloggers) writing most often, and impactfully, about any topic, instantly.

**What do you like best about TechNews?**

The platform is awesome... So easy to use and so beneficial.

**What do you dislike about TechNews?**

There is nothing to dislike! Like everything!

**What problems is TechNews solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 12. Great way to search keywords used in the news

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Georgia J. | Account Executive, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2017

**What do you like best about TechNews?**

Being able to search specific keywords in the news, and the way that ITdatabase organizes coverage into categories of reporters and publications.

**What do you dislike about TechNews?**

There isn't always full information for how to contact a reporter.

**Recommendations to others considering TechNews:**

Use as many specific keywords as you can! When finding a reporter, check their Twitter page as well for more information on how to contact them best.

**What problems is TechNews solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating media distribution lists for PR pitching purposes.

  ### 13. Great interface, very useful

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2016

**What do you like best about TechNews?**

The clean, no-nonsense interface. It gets me the information I need quickly without distracting design features or hard to find buttons. I also love the focus on tech reporters. Last, it gives you a list of all the publications and articles in one accessible place. Great tool, overall.

**What do you dislike about TechNews?**

Nothing comes to mind, honestly. This tool has always been nothing but reliable. I do worry that journalist contact information is out of date, but I have always found ITDatabase to me more current than Cision or something along those lines.

**Recommendations to others considering TechNews:**

I would definitely recommend to all. They also have a very useful service called "EventTrak," which has everything I have ever wanted when it comes to client event programs.

**What problems is TechNews solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I want to know everything I can about the reporters I am working with. ITDatabase lets me have real, productive relationships with the media. They love that, I love that, my clients love that.

  ### 14. IT Database's EventTrak plug-in great for event management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2016

**What do you like best about TechNews?**

I love IT Database's EventTrak plug-in. So much so that I convinced my boss to purchase the tool after my two-week trial. The tool is very easy to use and I like that I can organize events and speaking opportunities by deadline to easily keep track of what's coming up.

**What do you dislike about TechNews?**

I would like for there to be differentiation in events, speaking opportunities, and awards. Where I can organize them by section and deadline myself, rather than the automatic sorting.

**What problems is TechNews solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I manage events for four clients and use EventTrak at least once a week to stay up-to-date with upcoming deadlines in order to position our clients as thought leaders (through speaking opportunities at industry events).
