## Tabby.sh Reviews
  ### 1. Perfect alternative for terminal

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Krunal A. | Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Tabby.sh?**

I have used this software a long time, and this is very good looking and give very minimal experience for using this; I truly like its theme, which provides a nice look of our terminal, and I think if you are not very familiar with the terminal, then its is an excellent option for the user of windows because windows not have proper terminal I use this in ubuntu and also in windows, it is incredible to experience about it, for use multiple tabs at once is still confusing is terminal where tabby is given you more helpful view in just one window, so you do not need to go again and again at different tab

**What do you dislike about Tabby.sh?**

i think there are not any bad thing about so i can say that this is very perfect software that give you very good expiriunce for using terminal in windows and definetly you can go for this

**What problems is Tabby.sh solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The majority time, I have bad experiences using a terminal in windows, but it gives an excellent chance to make your work good, and I think it is a problem solver for using a terminal or command line tool

  ### 2. Convenient terminal that saves the state

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2022

**What do you like best about Tabby.sh?**

A colleague referred tabby.sh to me, and I'm using it on my work Mac. I like the most that it saves my sessions and my windows/tabs. I often have to connect to the same VMs/server, so it's a great time saver for me to have all sessions (in the same setup open just by opening the terminal).

**What do you dislike about Tabby.sh?**

I haven't found anything I really dislike, but I haven't shopped around for alternatives either. So far, I'm a happy user of tabby.sh. Maybe a suggestion for improvement would be to have something like "Tip of the Day". I still find a number of new features that I didn't know were there before (e.g., I recently found the color highlighting of the tabs). I know there are readme files to list new features in the updates and so on, but maybe a tip-of-the-day would remind me more often of the powerfulness of the terminal.

**What problems is Tabby.sh solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I need to connect to various servers and virtual machines on a regular base. This tool allows me to open these connections and color code the various connections, so I know what I'm doing on what server (which are often called the same since they are clones of each other). This way, I can make comparisons between the machines or repeat steps on all the machines without mixing up which one is which. I can also quickly open the sessions with just basically one click.

  ### 3. Customizable Terminal App

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sharon J. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Tabby.sh?**

The best thing is that we can easily customize the Terminal App depend on our needs, also it's really easy to use, and importantly it's open source, so we can use and support for the development. Really like the easiness of the product.

**What do you dislike about Tabby.sh?**

Even if it's easy to use, sometimes it has connectivity issues, and connections are automatically disconnected after few minutes. So, we have to reconnect everytime, but it only happens sometimes, otherwise it's good.

**What problems is Tabby.sh solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Tabby as our SSH client, and connect with different shells. All of our teammates are started using Tabby, and it's good so far. Also, it's has many other options that other competitors don't have

  ### 4. One of the best multiplatform terminal

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Tabby.sh?**

Tabby.sh is the only terminal app worth using. I've tried and discarded all other terminal apps but Tabby's endless customization options are what keeps me coming back to it over and over again. With Tabby, I can create the perfect terminal environment, one that suits my needs perfectly and there's practically no limits to what you can do with it!

**What do you dislike about Tabby.sh?**

It literally does not have any disadvantages so there is nothing that I dislike about tabby.sh. I use it every day on all of my netbooks!

**What problems is Tabby.sh solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's incredibly customizable, so I can set up my most used commands in a way that suits me best. Plus, it has all of the features I need built-in, like quick system management and control of network connections. Honestly, it's the perfect terminal app for Linux and Windows users alike!

  ### 5. Had no idea a software like this existed!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael T. | Project Management Intern, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Tabby.sh?**

I absolutely love this software. I just checked it out recently from the G2 review page and i am shocked at how good it is. Fast, easy, good ui, and a web browser version? Everything you need from a line console. You can make scripts, save profiles. Gem of a software for free!

**What do you dislike about Tabby.sh?**

There are some small stability issues, it jittered once in my test run but no other issues!

**What problems is Tabby.sh solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I occasionally need to SSH into a VPN for work and I found that this is a fast and easy way to do so!

  ### 6. Good for Windows users but not for linux

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Munir K. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Tabby.sh?**

It is far better than windows command prompt and powershell. It gives you look and feel of Unix terminals. It is made by use of typescript so easy to do modification/customization if you know the source files.

**What do you dislike about Tabby.sh?**

it is using Electron. So, it is resource hog. They mentioned on GitHub that Alacrity or Kitty or other Unix terminal are lightweight comprare to this. So, I will not prefer that on Linux

**What problems is Tabby.sh solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Windows powershell or command prompt are still like 20's era. They haven't improved that much with time. Most of developers are now working with servers. So, they need to do ssh, they have to deal with docker and many more thing. Tabby have all those thing either inbuilt or as plugin. So, it is saving your time of initial configuration.
