However, to use Superside effectively, you really need someone internally who can translate ideas into a clear brief that they can work from. If the person coordinating hasn’t worked with design teams previously, or is coming from a non-marketing part of the organization, there can be a bit of a learning curve. We don't think it works well for us to give a truly broad idea and just say come back to us. Very, very difficult to iterated on anything because so much inconsistency on who was working on the project. My very, very basic project was too challenging for them to understand **Recommendations to others considering Superside:** They are fine for VERY basic things - PPT presentations, social medial posting. **What problems is Superside solving and how is that benefiting you?** HORRIBLE experience with Superside. Very disorganized, too many cooks in the kitchen so nobody really understood what was going on. Spent a ridiculous amount of time on meetings and never were they able to understand my brand. Every time we got on a status call there were 2-3 people on I had never seen before. They had no idea what was going on so there was never a time where the right hand knew what the left was doing. Wasted not only a lot of my money but also a lot of my time. Steer clear. ### 44. I also admired the attention to detail and the account team the constantly bent over backwards to help us find ways to help us meet our goals. **What do you dislike about Superside?** My only complaint about Superside was sometimes we would have timing difficulties with team members being in differant parts of the world. Once we changed up our expectations around communication windows it worked fine. **Recommendations to others considering Superside:** If you are considering Superside, know that it will be an investment and that the thing that Superside can provide for you over a single employee is a range of experts to make your vision come true. They will go the extra mile to understand and to scope your project before you move into production. There wasn't a time that we didn't have an idea and they didn't have a way to help us get it done! **What problems is Superside solving and how is that benefiting you?** We started working with Superside at a critcal point in our startup journey. We had been in business for about a year and we were gaining enough traction where we were deciding whether to hire a marketing person or work with an agency. I am so glad we went with Superside. The range of experts we had access to let us completely rebrand, build a brand guideline and tonal guide, refresh our website, create videos, intiate an email marketing strategy, make ads, create branded email signatures, feature announcements, and so much more! ### 45. There is literally nothing to like about Superside. **What do you dislike about Superside?** Everything! They have predatory agreements that don't allow unhappy customers to cancel and all of their work is incredibly low quality. You can get better quality from the average creator on Fiverr. **Recommendations to others considering Superside:** Just don't. Do you speak English? Great, they will not staff your account with native English speaking professionals. Do you like the beautiful creative they show off in their sales presentations? Great, you will not get the team that produced that work and everything submitted to you will look like it was created by a freshman design student. Do you have brand standards? Congrats, those will be ignored and you'll have to constantly remind them to use your brand standards... and they'll bill you for every minute of it. Want to cancel because they didn't create anything you could actually use? Great, they will now sue you for tens of thousands of dollars. **What problems is Superside solving and how is that benefiting you?** Beware—Superside sues clients who cancel after poor service. I signed up for their design subscription, but the work was low quality, off-brief, and nothing like what they advertised. After virtually no usable work was delivered, I canceled per the contract—only to be sued two years later. If you expect quality or fair business practices, stay far away from Superside. ### 46. They appear to be the work of amateurs, not seasoned designers. Technical Proficiency: The organization and use of Figma features are subpar, indicating a lack of expertise with the tool. This has resulted in poorly structured layers and inefficient workflows. Turnaround Time and Originality: We are extremely disappointed with the turnaround time for minimal changes. More concerning is the lack of originality and innovation in these designs. Simple adjustments, like changing bullet point colors, do not justify the time taken. Design and Aesthetics: The inconsistent layouts and poor spacing demonstrate a fundamental lack of design acumen. This inconsistency is not only unprofessional but also impacts the user experience adversely. Self-Service Over Feedback: The quality is so lacking that I find myself preferring to make changes directly rather than providing feedback, which is a significant red flag. Pricing vs. Quality: The hours billed for these projects are exorbitant, especially given the substandard quality of work delivered. This discrepancy is unacceptable. Misrepresentation of Expertise: We were promised senior designer involvement, but the work received suggests reliance on AI and inexperienced designers. This is not what we agreed upon. Resource Allocation: It appears that a disproportionate amount of our budget is being spent on project management and communication, rather than on the actual design work. This is not only inefficient but also ineffective. Overall Experience and Contractual Concerns: The entire experience has been frustrating, to say the least.
