SundaySky democratrises video for people that would otherwise not know where or how to begin. It's very easy to use. If video is foreign to you, their AI chat bot does an impressive job trying to understanding your use case, brand voice, audience, etc...,and prepares a script and a video all on its own (after a short conversation with you of course). It's not perfect out of the box but it's a great starting place. Their packages include access to Videoblocks music and Getty Images and B-Roll. You cant take these assets outside of SundaySky but it's great to literally have everything you need to create video included with your package. My background is in video production and the quality and speed to get to a finished video in SundaySky makes it a compelling option versus hiring an agency which is expensive and slow. SundaySky videos are rendered in real time, at the moment a user clicks play. This means you can embed a video into a landing page for instance, when you make changes or updates to the video in SundaySky and hit publish, the changes are reflected live on your landing page and anywhere else the videos are embedded. This cuts out video hosting platforms serving as middle men. Their staff is really responsive and their product team is very active in collecting user feedback. **What do you dislike about SundaySky?** Platform Transparancy: The product itself is polished, but the way they structure the platform and premium features is not. Since becoming customers, SundaySky developed and released data connectors for Salesforce, Hubspot, Google Sheets etc... We received market communication celebrating the release so we logged into the platform and hooked up the data connectors without issue. In future conversations with our representative, we learned that there is a cost associated with using data connectors yet there were no indications, warnings, that these were premium features. They were understanding about the situation and we came to an agreement. However it was a strange experience as a customer. Personalization: While it's easy to build a video with personalization tokens, the process of embedding videos into a landing page came with a steep learning curve. If you are a Hubspot user and familiar with personalization tokens and url parameters then this is probably a non-issue for you. Voice Over Limitations: SundaySky offers AI Voice Over artists complete with a pronunciation library to correct misproniunciation of names or words. This is great but there is no inflection tool. This can lead to having to rewrite phrases in a scene to get a natural delivery of your script. You can create default voice over statements or deault text on screen to be shown when data tokens are not available ("Hello there" versus "Hello Paul") but you can't define conditions or logic to pivot to a default state if the pronunciation is incorrect or wrong. Because of this, we are only using personalization for text on screen. Not for voice over. I would love to see a logic system in place where users, we can define a confidence rating on name/word pronunciation. If confidence drops below 80% then pivot to default state. At the time of this writing, there is no such feature. **What problems is SundaySky solving and how is that benefiting you?** For our specific use-case, we are using these videos on event landing pages. This allows us to build some excitment and intrigue for particpants. Especially because we are a B2B organization. Particpants of our events are oftentimes employees inside our client organization. Our landing pages with SundaySky videos allow us address attendees directly and help them understand what the day will look like. We have many different kinds of events and Sunday Sky has allowed us to create a similar experience for our most popular events without having to rely on vendors, hiring additional people, or creating a ton of process. We set the pages up, designed the video for our use case and now its pretty effortless! Changes and updates are equally easy to manage, as changes to the video in the platform are reflected live on the landing pages where they are embedded. ### 5. We've been able to quickly onboard and train new employees, who are able to typically attend a quick training meeting and then begin creating videos the same day. Whenever we do have questions, the SundaySky resource and help center is easy to access and usually as the information we're seeking. If not, we've found their support team to be responsive and helpful. Additionally, we've been able to quickly scale our video marketing because of the ease of use and because SundaySky's templates and text-to-voice narration enable shorter production time. We've also appreciated how dedicated SundaySky is to continuous improvement. Most pain points that we've experienced that we've communicated to SundaySky have since been addressed or are on the road map. **What do you dislike about SundaySky?** Because we've created so many videos with SundaySky, we're now trying to push the limits of the templates to customize videos to avoid them all looking too similar. Of course, we recognize that the templates are what have allowed us to create videos so quickly and efficiently, but we worry we now run the risk of producing videos that feel repetitive. I do know that SundaySky is working on creating more flexibility within the templates to help solve for this pain point. **What problems is SundaySky solving and how is that benefiting you?** I work in product marketing, so SundaySky is making it easier for me to produce various types of videos for the product teams I support, including explainer videos, demo videos, and teaser videos. Our sales reps have been excited to begin incorporating video into their sales efforts, and we've even started producing more videos for presentations to make those more engaging, as well. ### 6. The themes are also fairly easy to customize with brand colors. **What do you dislike about SundaySky?** SundaySky proclaimed to have readily-available VO artists on hand if you needed something more personalized than an AI voice, but they are late in reponse time and delivery. There could also be more detailed customizations for text placement and animation, as well as control of timing/length of a scene. Finally, my least favorite aspect is the export quality; it is always pixelated, unless you use the SundaySky player, which my team cannot due to website limitations. **What problems is SundaySky solving and how is that benefiting you?** Allows for easy storyboarding, rebuilding/editing, quicker effects available rather than building everything from scratch, aspects work fairly well in conjunction with Adobe video products (can export a SundaySky video and overlay more personalized animations after). In order to maximize the platform's potential, you need to be able to effectively source the information and data that is being used to personalized the videos. This isn't necessarily a fault of the platform, but a hurdle that many clients will face, given the often decentralized nature of customer data in many organizations. **Recommendations to others considering SundaySky:** When considering the Sunday Sky platform, make sure that you have clear objectives that you would like to meet and that you have access to the data that will allow you to personalize your videos. The Sunday Sky team is helpful in co-creation, and will help guide you through the setup experience. **What problems is SundaySky solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use the Sunday Sky video platform in two ways - first, we run a video that provides new account customers an on-boarding experience to understand their card benefits, and to take action to activate their card. The customer is able to navigate the video to see the benefits of their card, based on how they plan to use their card. The second way we use the video platform is to run a video that explains the features of our account management website, where customers can go to set their card preferences, such as eliminating paper statements, adding card alerts and setting up their card in our app so they can use their account digitally. We have seen a majority of our viewers indicate that the video experience helped better explain their card benefits and the setup features of our site, and have shown that they are more likely to activate their card and take actions on the site to manage their card. ### 23. It is well liked by end customers and generally meets the needs of the companies that deploy the solution. **What do you dislike about SundaySky?** SundaySky is difficult to do business with. They are not flexible in how the contracts are structured. There are also changes made to their platform that sometimes require additional expense that I would not expect from a SaaS solution. **Recommendations to others considering SundaySky:** SundaySky has an excellent product. As a reseller it is sometimes difficult to position the solution where both organizations are working together. There is often overlap in how and to whom the solution is presented, which makes it difficult as a reseller. **What problems is SundaySky solving and how is that benefiting you?** Customers who have questions about their bills often times call into a call center to get their questions answered. I think the explanations are very helpful. It breaks down a complicated scenario into easily consume bites. It's also adaptable since not every scenario is the same. I love the graphics and the idea behind using a video to explain something. For some pockets they do, but it's not a golden bullet. I think people are strapped for time and the length may be causing people to not complete the video.
