This is very helpful for my interns to receive shift notifications and/or have the quick ability to check their work schedules. **What do you dislike about SubItUp?** I think the look and feel could use a little facelift. It looks almost exactly how it did when I started using it in March 2016. It seems that most other software that I use have undergone rebranding in 2-4 years. SubitUp could use a little help with making their software more user friendly (administrator end). **What problems is SubItUp solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm solving the issues that would always come up of interns saying "well, I didn't know I was scheduled for today". Less tardiness by workforce and able to schedule shifts further out. ### 2. You have a tab to view your own schedule which is less cluttered and full schedule which seems a bit cluttered but everything is in one place. Also, it allows you to swap your shifts with others, submit a leave request, add more shifts to your calendar, etc. which makes it an overall great tool. Ther shift swap option allows you to switch your shift with other people and everyone can view the swap notification raised and you have the choice to select the best shift from the offers you receive this way. You also get a notification via email before the start of every shift. **What do you dislike about SubItUp?** Past schedules not visible. When you want to check the past shifts to calculate the time completed in a week in the past, I cannot check the previous shifts completed by me. Thus, I have to update myself before completing the shift. Also, there is no customization available for the time you receive the mail before the shift starts. **Recommendations to others considering SubItUp:** Great software for your scheduling needs. **What problems is SubItUp solving and how is that benefiting you?** Setting up shifts for the front desk. The shifts are assigned for 5 hours and divided among the employees. It is a one-stop place for all the scheduling for the employer as well as employees. The shifts can be as granularized as required so you can have shifts that may be as short as 2.5 hours or as long as 10 hours at a stretch. This gives the software flexibility to use it in a wide range of places. ### 3. Subitup gives a quick platform to use if there is a very flexible work environment. **What do you dislike about SubItUp?** Often I ran into problems with being able to use the app on my phone. I did not like that I had to find a desktop at work when I needed to see something differently that wasn’t showing on my mobile device. **What problems is SubItUp solving and how is that benefiting you?** Shift changes were able to be approved by management which was able to be done quickly. The app was sleek for the most part. This gave shifts more organization given there were 9 shifts each day with 3 people per shift. ### 4. You can also communicate with employees regarding shift changes and general messages. It also helps you manage payroll pretty simply. Overall it is great software with some great functions. The best feature is employees can remote login from mobile devices pr swipe in instead of paper timekeeping. They can also track their own hours and swap shifts. **What do you dislike about SubItUp?** It takes some time even with the tutorials to learn functions of Subitup. **What problems is SubItUp solving and how is that benefiting you?** No manual input of employee hours Convenient click in system Easy to manage lots of employees scheduling ### 6. There are also great features that allow you to easily swap, drop, or pickup shifts. From an employee's perspective, I feel like I have a lot of freedom to determine my schedule. **What do you dislike about SubItUp?** The mobile app could use some work by having in-app notifications of shift drops and swaps. This would allow me to not get bogged down with the emails but still have the ability to stay notified of the schedule. **What problems is SubItUp solving and how is that benefiting you?** Subitup solves the problem of effectively planning schedules of over 200 employees at one time. It also betters the problem of shift call outs because it is so easy for employees to find a shift cover quickly. Overall it's main benefit is its ability to automize the shift scheduling process. ### 7. I can see my full schedule a month in advance and plan accordingly. Easy to use and helpful when in a pinch! **What do you dislike about SubItUp?** The app version does not have all the features of the website version. I would love to see everyone’s schedule in the app just like on the website **What problems is SubItUp solving and how is that benefiting you?** We as students, have very busy lives . SubItUp helps us make sure that there is always someone to work at any given time. We can exchange shifts and cover others. It’s amazing ! ### 8. This system does the contact, reaching out, and sub confirmation for you. **What problems is SubItUp solving and how is that benefiting you?** When a sub is needed, this system works great by reaching out to multiple employees at once to fill this spot. Also all open shifts are visible for others to pick up and shows a current schedule for whoever is logged in. ### 9. I think on the user side it's easy to use especially with students. **What do you dislike about SubItUp?** That the app isn't great from a manager's prospective. It has different views for employee vs employer. I've also had some issues with timesheets - they are quick to fix it, but still very time consuming. **Recommendations to others considering SubItUp:** Its easy on scheduling especially for student employees. Some set backs, but they are great at fixing problems or listening to feedback. **What problems is SubItUp solving and how is that benefiting you?** Using it to schedule over 100 student employees - its easy to pull reports or for other areas to see who is working and in which area. Clock in / out data is helpful too - allows for accurate reporting. ### 12. Locating and making sure it is in there properly takes some time. **Recommendations to others considering SubItUp:** I work at two different places and I prefer SubitUp against the other program used at my other job. **What problems is SubItUp solving and how is that benefiting you?** Through subitup we are able to solve when people work. A benefit is that it is an easy to use program. There are a lot of student workers to get their availability in on time and this helps with that! ### 13.
