"Easy-to-Use Takeoff Tools and Real-Time Estimating That Streamline Work"
5/5
What do you like best about STACK Takeoff & Estimate?

I like the ease of use and takeoff tools that help reduce the time spent on takeoffs. The estimate feature has great potential for our company we are creating assemblies and pricing to streamline our estimating process. I enjoy the real time view added recently that shows updates to the estimate as you progress through the takeoff. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about STACK Takeoff & Estimate?

The trainings, I would find more value if there were industry related trainings on conducting takeoffs, building assemblies, and estimates. The cost is slightly high and would find more value if we were able to pay for a license that covered multiple users. Another pain/dislike is the linear with drop feature specifically when your ending your measurement the double click adds the drop and when you try to correct it most of the time you will delete the entire measurement and have to start over. Very frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Stack Streamlines Takeoffs and Document Organization, Saving Us Tons of Time"
4/5
What do you like best about STACK Takeoff & Estimate?

Stack makes the Organization of Project Documents & the Takeoff process a breeze. Coming from paper takeoffs by hand Stack has increased our project productivity by over 75%. By eliminating the need to go from paper, to Excel, to Software then back to Excel it has saved us tons of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about STACK Takeoff & Estimate?

I do wish for our Electrical trade the Items and Assemblies were more built out. For the price we pay I feel like this is where they are lacking however I still have an overall positive outlook on the program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Snappy, Feature-Rich Estimating Platform Built for High-Volume Takeoffs"
5/5
What do you like best about STACK Takeoff & Estimate?

It is a snappy takeoff and estimating SAAS platform that handles large volumes of information handily. It is feature-rich and enables estimating teams to dive as deep as they need to or stay on the surface for ITB triage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about STACK Takeoff & Estimate?

Sometimes the zoom-in feature doesn't go far enough for some details. And I wish there was a more nimble way to view other plan sheets; the two-tab method works well enough, but sometimes I'll need to reference more than 2 drawings at a time to chain references back to a certain section of the building. "Fast Blueprint-to-Takeoff with Quick Aerial Images"
4/5
What do you like best about STACK Takeoff & Estimate?

My main use is being able to quickly turn blueprints into a material takeoff. We also use the aerial images you can request through Stack. Within minutes, you get the images back along with a square-foot takeoff. My only wish is that it covered more than just major cities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about STACK Takeoff & Estimate?

Updating our pricing in our material library is a real pain. There just isn’t a good way to do it, at least not that I’ve found. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Takeoffs with Impressive Built-In Tools"
5/5
What do you like best about STACK Takeoff & Estimate?

I really like the variety of built-in tools and how easy it is to complete material count takeoffs, whether it’s for small homes or 360-unit buildings. These tools help speed up takeoffs while keeping them accurate, and they also make it easier to find and flag crucial information needed for quotes and for after the project is won. I’ve loved how straightforward STACK Takeoff & Estimate has been since our trial, and we now have 15 memberships. The initial setup was simple and went smoothly. What do you dislike about STACK Takeoff & Estimate?

I honestly don't have any complaints, I like it a lot. The only thing I would like is if there was an app we could use on our phone that had offline capabilities when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive, User-Friendly STACK That Listens and Improves"
5/5
What do you like best about STACK Takeoff & Estimate?

STACK is very intuitive & user friendly. The various functions are easy to learn & easy to use. I especially like the page that shows you all of the drawing sheets. It allows me to navigate quickly through the sheets I need to work on. I use STACK every day and like it far better than other software I've used. I like that STACK listens to their subscribers suggestions. They've implemented a couple of my suggested tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about STACK Takeoff & Estimate?

I'm not very familiar with the estimate function in STACK. I have always used an Excel spreadsheet for my estimate. I find it hard to figure some general condition items like lift rental and travel, per diem & lodging for out of town projects. To me it seems easier to do that portion in my Excel spreadsheet. I would very much like to see the "Multiplier" on the "measure" page to be able to use decimal figures like 2.5 or 3.75. Now we are only allowed to use whole numbers. "Helpful customer service, easy to use, has everything you need... and then some."
4.5/5
What do you like best about STACK Takeoff & Estimate?

The customizability at the TAKEOFF level is the best. Creating our own items, assemblies, and being able to change how measurements calculate costs is super easy and helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about STACK Takeoff & Estimate?

Lack of customizability at the ESTIMATES level. There's certain things we have to manually input every time we do an estimate, and it'd be nice to have a place to say "add an extra X% to the costs of MATERIALS for taxes" for example. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Online Access for Field Teams, Backed by Responsive Support"
4/5
What do you like best about STACK Takeoff & Estimate?

It’s an online platform, which makes it much easier to access than having to sit at a desk and log in on a desktop. That also means it’s accessible for the guys in the field who need to view the takeoffs. I’ve also appreciated how responsive customer support is when I run into issues, and how they take my suggestions on board to help make the app better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about STACK Takeoff & Estimate?

There are a few things that can be frustrating because it’s still a fairly new platform and doesn’t yet have some of the features other estimating software has. I try my best to submit suggestions through the STACK request a feature when I remember, but I don’t really get any feedback on whether it’s something they plan to implement or not. Some of these include: Copying Cutouts for repetitive items like windows or doors SF, Having the option to organize the project list into folders, Notes section automatically saving instead of having to click save, ability to copy takeoffs from one project to another, ability to hide specific dimension lines, ability to edit description & Title of takeoff from the reports tab, ability to link/hyperlink a set of takeoffs to a specific detail sheet (i.e. If i have a flashing on my window elevation, click on the link and it takes me to the sheet with that detail.).
