# What are the top-rated restaurant reservation platforms for restaurant managers based on ease of use and technical requirements?

Ease of use came through much more clearly than heavy technical requirements.

Here’s how the leading options compare:

OpenTable for Restaurants, G2 Score 88: Managers repeatedly describe it as user-friendly, with straightforward reservation management, seating controls, and integrations. Some say first-time onboarding can still take adjustment.

SevenRooms, G2 Score 55: Restaurant and operations managers praise its clear interface, fast navigation, and easy setup. The breadth of features can make more advanced workflows harder to learn.

Eat App, G2 Score 49: Managers highlight simple booking management, guest tracking, and live support. Most reviewers describe setup as approachable without requiring much technical expertise.

Tock, G2 Score 28: Restaurant managers like its straightforward booking tools and event functionality, although several reviewers say back-end navigation takes longer to master.

OpenTable has the strongest Grid position and the deepest review base here. SevenRooms and Eat App also get strong usability feedback, while Tock seems more dependent on how complex the restaurant’s booking and event setup is.

For restaurant managers who’ve onboarded new staff onto these systems, which required the least training? And did integrations or initial configuration create more work than the day-to-day reservation workflow?

Oh SevenRooms is the standout on pure rating here, very highly regarded and built specifically with restaurant operations in mind, table management, guest profiles and marketing all in one, so managers get more than just a booking calendar. Eat App is another very highly rated, well-reviewed option, known for being approachable to set up without heavy technical lift, good for independent restaurants without an IT team. OpenTable for Restaurants is the most widely reviewed and recognized name, its tradeoff is that reviewers note it can feel like more of a marketplace (diners find you through OpenTable) than a pure ops tool, and the covers fee structure matters to some managers. To be real, ease of use should be judged by your host stand staff, not just the manager, so I'd get a frontline host to try the actual walk-in and waitlist flow in a demo. How many covers a night, and do you want the marketplace discovery OpenTable offers, or just a booking tool for guests who already know you?
