The best part of SPS Commerce Analytics is that it gives suppliers and brands clear, decision‑ready visibility into retail performance, turning fragmented POS and inventory data into something you can actually act on. The platform stands out because it reduces manual analysis time, speeds up insight generation, and supports more confident forecasting and collaboration across retailers.

Limited customization — Dashboards and reports are mostly pre‑built. Great for consistency, but frustrating if you want to build highly tailored views or complex calculated fields.

Slow performance during peak loads — Large datasets or multi‑retailer queries can feel sluggish, especially compared to modern BI tools.

**What do you like best about SPS Commerce Analytics?**

I like how the SPS Commerce Analytics team has been incredibly helpful during our project's implementation. They've been on top of the project, regularly checking in with us to ensure that files from our distributors are passed along correctly as expected. The initial setup was very easy because the team at SPS did most of the work to ensure things were set up smoothly and easily.

**What do you dislike about SPS Commerce Analytics?**

We've had issues with SPS Commerce Analytics falsely charging/invoicing us for things that are supposed to be on billing holds. We need more accurate billing and quicker responses regarding correcting the billing.

**What problems is SPS Commerce Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SPS Commerce Analytics to normalize and process point-of-sale data from multiple distributors, solving the problem of handling diverse file formats.

I love that it has the capabilities to connect with NetSuite.

**What do you dislike about SPS Commerce Analytics?**

It is not always user friendly when errors occur- I will try and correct the error but it will not show specifically what is wrong with an entry.

**What problems is SPS Commerce Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SPS Commerce has a very quick response time for assistance, and this is a huge help.

I can see how products are actually selling in stores, compare performance across different locations, and get a clearer sense of what’s working where.

The add-ons for analytics can sometimes be a bit expensive.

Using analytics, we can see which products are selling best and where they’re selling best. It also helps us make internal decisions about removing certain products or improving them, especially when we notice higher return rates coming back from specific stores.

We’re able to gain valuable insight into the industry as a whole, as well as track how our market share moves over time.  It is well worth the cost and easy to use.

The customer scope seems limited to larger stores and doesn’t include many independent stores.

Different data can be easily imported into this software and various analyzed data and reports can be received according to various filters.  SPS Commerce Analytics  has helped us a lot in sales and marketing development.

**What do you dislike about SPS Commerce Analytics?**

I'm really  happy with SPS Commerce Analytics and it solved any sales issues. I don't need analayse all customers and regions data anymore.

SPS Commerce Analytics is smart and c great  platform for any disturbuter and companies in any size.

**What problems is SPS Commerce Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For Receive more sales, different customers in different geographical areas should be identified according to the type of taste, behavior and purchasing power of that region.  SPS easily analyzes all these cases according to the submitted data, and this way we can have a better view of the market situation as well as a higher level than the competitors.  This platform has reduced our costs and increased our sales.

The amount of data - the map - the automated reports - the fact that I can view multiple companies' data - the trainings provided!

**What do you dislike about SPS Commerce Analytics?**

The abbreviations are not very self-explanatory. The fact that I can't control the time periods and it only shows last week is frustrating. I would like to see data from the previous day.

Giving easy store and product recaps, can get multiple weeks at a time (month to date, season to date etc...)

**What do you dislike about SPS Commerce Analytics?**

the timing of getting the reports is atrocious! as a company, we are required to have our data in by 11am on Monday mornings. Week after week the data is not uploaded into SPS until Wednesday! It is insanely delayed.

**What problems is SPS Commerce Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SPS allows me to look at selling of styles and doors to see where I am overstocked/what styles are selling best that we may need a reorder into.

**What do you like best about SPS Commerce Analytics?**

The SPS team is very engaged in ensuring we are getting the most value from the service and the relationship.  They truly function in a way that encourages continued engagement and adoption.  We not only have easier access to our data; we have a group of professionals with industry experience helping us turn data into insights and actions.  This will elevate the skill set of our sales organization.

**What do you dislike about SPS Commerce Analytics?**

I’d simply like more comprehensive data.  The current data allows us to do robust sales and inventory analysis.  If retailers provided more robust data, we could do truly comprehensive financial planning as well as assortment/sales and inventory planning.  If there is a way to leverage retailer partnerships to encourage greater collaboration on the sharing of metrics, it would be wonderful.

**What problems is SPS Commerce Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

First, improved turn around time on traditional selling reports.  Next, we have used it extensively to identify white space/ recapture opportunities for existing retailers based on other retailer bankruptcy.

Embrace the ability to have speedy, relevant data in order to make quick, insightful decisions to grow business.  Dashboard insights provide tools to dig deep, deeper, and deepest into root cause and opportunities.


**What do you dislike about SPS Commerce Analytics?**

Learning curve to build out reports and dashboards...but, once you’ve done one, you’re a pro.

**What problems is SPS Commerce Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Speed!  SPS has allowed me time back to focus on additional areas of my business.  SPS reporting replaced what could take a full day to download and analyze data from vendor portals to a 5 min refresh.  Thank you.

Provides comprehensive POS information for important accounts. Sales Managers are receiving most up to date sell through using custom reports and dashboards sent by email subscriptions weekly. This provides a healthy pulse on how their accounts are performing.

**What do you dislike about SPS Commerce Analytics?**

System sometimes can cause delays and that can be frustrating for the end users expectatins. The implementation of new accounts does take a while. Fees are high for this service.

Many good information is coming across for the field. Sales is confident with the way this is presented will help better plan for the future. This is very impressive and important tools for everyone.

This is the only source of pos data that my company has so it is extremly beneficial for us

SPS is a place to create and export a spreadsheet. The report creation is done by the user in excel.

I would prefer more access points for my business partners along with a complete list of those partners who are currently providing data thru SPS Commerce
