Spotfire Analytics Reviews & Product Details

An easy way to connect different sources of data to create dynamic info and visuals with a high data integrity. The end product looks appealing to all end users because of it's ease to use. Spotfire is getting more and more the standard for all analysis and reports within our company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The navigation between all features is something different. Where a lot of applications adapted the microsoft way of menu organisation, Spotfire had more and different ways to get to the features. This takes some time to master, but in the end it's more than worth it. The loading of infolinks takes some time. Of course this is due to the large amounts of data that needs to be processed. But during a build a lot of time is spent waiting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Its much better than doing manual analytical work on excel. You are able to create dashboards pretty easily Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The UI of the software is quite dated, and the platform can feel old at times. Definitely not as modern as other top solutions Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Great one to display and manage really big volumes of data. Better between 2 million and 50 millions rows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Lack of sexy visualizations. If you compare it with other market software. Also lack of source code to manage stuff faster on some cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Easy to use, many types of graphs can be plotted easily. Allows to export the images & data results. Ability of handling huge file size Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Loading time for larger file is very slow, speed of loading of the data has to be improved. Tool will hang if we try to do any changes in larger file once it uploaded. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ease of graph generation, automation of daily report generated for management Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

we are new in this software, haven't encountered yet Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ease of use and it is a very flexible tool. Great to have multiple services. Find it to be a reliable platform. Ability to add Iron Python scripts and include snippets of code is very useful. Like the style of the visualizations created. Produces good dashboard layouts. Recommendations of most interesting IDs in the data is very useful. I find it to be more customizable than other visualization tools and software. Excellent Geo Analytics software - highly useful. Tool is good for handling large volumes of data and large collections of datasets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Additional tutorials within the software would be very useful to have. Advertising of further uses of the tool during use would allow for expanding personal use of the software. No major downsides to the tool - once familiar with it, it is excellent to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The ability to import data from different databases and customize automation is the best. Dashboards are easy to load and operate. Cache time is less compared to previous old versions. The dashboard migration process is quick. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Nothing as of now, but the patching process is time-consuming. It should be easy and specific. The Spotfire upgrade process requires all servers to shut down. It affects the business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It gives a nice visualization experience with no server lag. Also, I like the on-demand feature as it provides a dataset for the graph (like barchart) used in user data view. So even the end users are able to view the data as per the design of the chart and they can select a particular month of data and get all records associated in that month in table set as well. For designing the dashboards, we can use the charts available and also use HTML and Python to design the dashboard. It accepts data from any server and images can be imported (without keeping a backup also in any server) into the analysis (a particular page or dashboard) and make it reusable. As you go also and create/develop a few number of dashboards/analysis reports and keep them in the server, if you don't have equivalent free space on the local PC that you are working on then it takes a lot of time to open the report. P.S. This is only relevant to development or support people, end users or customers won't experience this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It has great build in charts available and it is easy to learn and use. Short development to deployment time. It can handle large data set and make analysis easy by following simple steps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is very difficult to configure for complex data set or requirements. Most of the in build charts don't work with big data. Need to rely on external tool for ETL. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Great tool to use to create dashboards and reports that are user-friendly for non-technical audiences. Team members enjoy using this tool and downloading reports that the analytics team has created. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Nothing negative to say about the Spotfire tool, I enjoy using, and end-users enjoy using reports and dashboards generated using Spotfire Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
