## Spike.sh Reviews
  ### 1. Spike.sh collaborating tools make incidents easy to manage.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** kriti g. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Spike.sh?**

I personally like Spike. Setting up integrations takes no time. Setting alerts is so easy with Spike. We love their On-call alerts.
Spike integration with other collaborating platforms such as LINEAR, JIRA, ZENDESK which is great. Earlier we used to switch between the apps to create tickets on linear but with spike dashboard and with only one click we can create tickets on Linear, Zendesk, JIRA Etc.

**What do you dislike about Spike.sh?**

Nothing. It’s really great for our use case

**What problems is Spike.sh solving and how is that benefiting you?**

During our work, we often need to switch between different platforms support tickets during the incidents. It took a little time to do it manually which got sometimes annoying to our team members as we need to resolve the incident at the same time.
Spike has collaborated with such platforms and made it easier for engineers to switch on the tabs to create tickets on different platforms. This has brought a major relief to our team.

  ### 2. Setting modes on spike.sh helps in maintaining Work-Life Balance

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yuvraj S. | Full Stack Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Spike.sh?**

Our internal team was looking for a platform from which we could get alerts in real-time with multiple integrations and automation. As we were tired of getting our work done manually.
We discovered Spike.sh after a couple of months of searching for a good incident management platform that provides some customized services.
Our Engineering team really likes the features of setting a mode: mainly out-of-office mode. Just as Slack has a feature to inform the other team members that they are on leave, Spike.sh has a feature of out-of-office.
I went on vacation a few days ago, I could easily delegate my on-call duties to others. No hassle- just maintaining the work-life balance. As my on-call duties were override by my other team members. I can say that Spike has introduced a great work-life balance in our team.

**What do you dislike about Spike.sh?**

Nothing at all. It’s great for our use case!

**What problems is Spike.sh solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Usually, when we are on holiday or out of the office, it is cumbersome to manage incidents and alerts. Delegating and accountability is a major problem. But Spike allows us to set their status to vacation mode and transfer on-call duties and alerts to other team members. This makes a more peaceful and hassle-free vacation experience for me!

  ### 3. Incident management is simple and affordable with spike.sh

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sakthi b. | QA Automation Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Spike.sh?**

Our Engineering team likes how it is so convenient to acknowledge and resolve the incident directly on Phone, SMS, WhatsApp, MS Teams, Telegram and Discord without going to their dashboard.
They also have acknowledged timeout which I personally like, for the low-severity incidents. If my team currently working on some critical incidents then we use acknowledge timeout and after some time we get an alert to resolve this low severity incident.
I feel this brings work undisturbed when low-severity incidents occur.

**What do you dislike about Spike.sh?**

Nothing as of now, I personally like Spike a lot.

**What problems is Spike.sh solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working and managing incidents manually was quite a difficult task. Our team faced such challenges where critical incidents occurred and there were some non-critical incidents that occurred at the same time. There were non-stop alert notifications for non-critical incidents.
Spike had a solution for our problem, they had an acknowledge time out which helped us to maintain our team workflow during the critical incidents.
Our team loves Spike for this, as it helps them to maintain their workflow balanced during such incidents.

  ### 4. Spike.sh brought transparency within our teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kartik M. | SDE 3, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Spike.sh?**

I like to use their private status pages so that my team knows the status of all things going on in our streaming service.
My team likes one thing the most, whenever we have scheduled planned maintenance for 5 minutes or 30 minutes, we use the status pages to notify all our users about it.

**What do you dislike about Spike.sh?**

There is no such thing that I dislike about spike. Everything is quite smooth when we use spike.

**What problems is Spike.sh solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We initially faced a challenge when to communicate to our users about the maintenance of our website.
With spike, it was easy to communicate to all our users about the maintenance, as we informed all our users beforehand that we had scheduled maintenance.
Spike honestly has brought a lot of transparency and clarity to our team as well as to our users.

  ### 5. Best incident platform. I highly recommend spike.sh for receiving the alerts.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Spike.sh?**

Spike.sh has a great UI/UX. Our team really likes how spike.sh is easy to understand and use.
We found alerting rules very interesting. Routing alerts to the right person by severity and simple regex
Our team mainly uses Slack for all the notifications as it is easy to use. The ease of creating different channels for critical Incidents makes our team work collaboratively and maintains transparency.

**What do you dislike about Spike.sh?**

Nothing as of now. It’s great for our organization.

**What problems is Spike.sh solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Spike.sh has been a game-changer for our team in addressing recurring incidents. The platform's timely alerts and automations have improved our incident response.
We have gained a lot of appreciation from our users for our better transparency.

  ### 6. Spike is a must-have tool for alerts and on-call

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shubham P. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Spike.sh?**

I just like that Spike is so easy to use and it’s also so affordable!
Setting up integrations takes no time. They also integrate with JIRA which is great !

I also like their on-call alerts. We get alerts on Slack when on-call rotates which is neat!

During critical incidents, we setup war-rooms directly within Spike

**What do you dislike about Spike.sh?**

I would like to have an inbox on spike to track all the comment mentions.

**What problems is Spike.sh solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ensuring stability is incredibly important to us and support millions of our users. The internal queueing systems are monitored all on AWS. A direct integration with Spike means we get alerts on Teams as and when there are issues. Without proper health of our queueing systems sending users push notifications for critical alerts gets tricky. With spike, we have gained a ton of confidence in shipping and maintaining our systems.

  ### 7. We rely on Spike to alert us on incidents automatically

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kushal K. | Principal Product Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Spike.sh?**

Spike beats other tools by a mile with great UI/UX. Our engineering team loves it!

We connected Spike with Microsoft Azure, Dynatrace, and Splunk. It automatically reads the priority and severity of incidents from the payloads and routes alerts accordingly. It also suppresses alert noise during office hours or when I am on holiday. Somehow, they also suppress incidents intelligently for efficient alert noise reduction, which was a big problem before.

All the alerts have links to our Dynatrace and Splunk dashboards so we don’t have to keep digging into find the issue. I personally use this a lot !!

When an incident is resolved, our responders leave notes on how they resolved it making it easier for the next responders to take action and reduce MTTR.

Spike’s on-call management is incredibly helpful. At any point, we can refer to a page which shows who is on-call and contact them directly. This has helped us bring a lot of transparency. Plus, the on-call scheduling syncs with our Google calendar.

**What do you dislike about Spike.sh?**

Nothing really but it would be nice to have services connected to each other.

**What problems is Spike.sh solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We ship fast. With Spike’s easy integrations, it has given our engineering and product teams the confidence to deploy reliably. This has resulted in an uptick in productivity.

Using it’s API, we have managed to automate all incident processes and also integrated it on Backstage dashboards for the engineering team.

All of our incident processes are now automated, and many of the incidents are now self-healing as well. We run our own scripts, which spike runs after it sees an incident.

  ### 8. The best incident management tool. Bang for buck!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prashasti S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Spike.sh?**

getting alerts on our microsoft teams channels is awesome. Our compliance dashboards were always facing issues but we used spike to get alerts and instantly know about them

Escalation policies, alerting, and status page was very very useful

**What do you dislike about Spike.sh?**

Nothing really. we know the statuses of our dashboard and get emails and teams alerts. one thing is I would like to see links on teams because their slack app has it but I like using it on teams

**What problems is Spike.sh solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The compliance dashboard always faced issues. I was on client side and it was difficult to use it. The team told us they integrated with spike to get alerts and that made it easy for them.

I could see all the alerts with issues coming in on our teams channels. I also used our status page and let our LATAM and AMEA team know the status when there were any issues.

Helped us solve all the communication problems between multiple divisions and clients.

  ### 9. Powerful and impactful alerting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nishchay P. | Customer Success Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Spike.sh?**

Their alerting is awesome. I did not even know this sort of product exists.

1. Automatic escalations
2. On-call management
3. Slack app
4. Phone call and Telegram alerts
5. Audit trail for admins
6. Outbound webhook scripts

**What do you dislike about Spike.sh?**

I think their audit trail is helpful but can be improved. I would like to add filters, audit each integration, and see if anyone has changed anything.

Right now, I have to scroll through the entire trail and it's not that intuitive.

**What problems is Spike.sh solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a CSM, I work closely with customers to ensure they can utilise our products properly. Every time they face any issue, we were always unaware and that caused communication gaps.

I worked with our engineering team who integrated Spike.sh, and now we know instantly when my customers face any issues and the reason behind it because we get alerts on Slack and Phone calls.

So now, we knwo what's happening even before customers inform us of their issue. This has helped us hit our targets efficiently!!

  ### 10. Very useful, super informative incident alerts that helped us stabilise our systems

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sachin K. | Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Spike.sh?**

The prompt alerts. We use their Phone call alerts, Whatsapp alerts, and Slack.

Our team can easily acknowledge, resolve incidents directly on Phone, Whatsapp, and Slack without going to their dashboard.

Their API has allowed us to automate tons of things for an incident.

We also use their private status pages so team knows the status of all things going on in our streaming service

**What do you dislike about Spike.sh?**

Everything works out quite smoothly for us. If I had to pick, we would like to automate more on their Status Page.

**What problems is Spike.sh solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The alerting amazes me. Across millions of Trueview CCTV cameras installed, we provide software to directly video stream on users' apps.

Streaming is hard, and thanks to Spike.we could set up processes to get alerts within a second of incident occurrence. We integrated Spike.sh across Datadog, Grafana, error monitoring software, basic uptimes, and so on.

Before Spike.sh, all issues alerting would end up in inbox only to be ignored.

We also use their on-call management across software teams and offline manufacturing, making our lives easier. No more roster cards!

  ### 11. Incredibly useful alerts and Spike.sh bought transparency in our team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shruti P. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Spike.sh?**

Before Spike.sh, we were getting all of our alerts via email and these emails always got lost in our inbox.

With Spike.sh, we get alerts on phone, WhatsApp, and our Slack channels allowing us to instantly know of any issue happening across our dashboard and internal systems

**What do you dislike about Spike.sh?**

Commenting is not rich, I would love it more if it would support markdown

**What problems is Spike.sh solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our internal dashboarding product that lists all the compliances has lately been slow and we keep facing issues with it. Our enterprise is spread across multiple countries and lawyers (and consultants) are always using it.

Not knowing what the issues were meant we couldn't fix it at the right time. Our team was responsible for all the consultants NOT being able to work due to issues in Dashboard.

Thanks to Spike.sh, we now instantly get notified with details about what the issue could be.

Now, when an incident occurs, we get alerts on Slack on weekdays, and Phone call + WhatsApp alerts over the weekend. Spike.sh also helped us bring accountability on who is looking after an incident.

As of today, when an incident occurs, using Spike.sh outbound webhooks and automation, we trigger scripts which try and resolve the incident.

This automated process has bought a lot of relief for our team

  ### 12. Powerful incident management and responder flexibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Madhu S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Spike.sh?**

I like that it’s easy to setup on-call rotation. Super flexible and you get alerts everytime your
shift starts/ends. During on-call, I can also add an override for another person to take over in
case of emergency and I am not available. Work-life balance ftw!

**What do you dislike about Spike.sh?**

I have personally had no problems with spike. It’s intuitive and great to use!

**What problems is Spike.sh solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our quality assurance team also work closely with customer teams and helpdesk teams. With a direct integration to Zendesk and status page, it has reduced a huge amount of back and forth among our teams. The automation updates status page automatically and other teams can easily access them and stay updated as our quality assurance teams dig and fix issues !

  ### 13. Incident management for all our customers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** NIKHIL B. | Regional Sales Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Spike.sh?**

Integration with Spike.sh is great. Adding and removing responder flexibility is great. Creating escalation policies by choosing Teams, Telegram, Email is very easy. It’s clear who gets alerts and when for an incident. Spike.sh' s on-call policies sync with calendar which is great.

**What do you dislike about Spike.sh?**

Nothing as of now. It’s great for our use case

**What problems is Spike.sh solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting all monitoring alerts helps us understand if our customers are in compliance with given SLAs. Spike.sh has been critical in sending alerts so we can help our customers stay compliant. Our team has 24/7 on-call rotation so it’s easy to automate who gets an alert and automatically escalate it too.

  ### 14. Incident Management using Spike.sh

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Divyansh K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Spike.sh?**

Spike.sh is a simple platform to use for incident management. The UI is clean and its simple to navigate around.
One of the best things about Spike is that it cuts out a lot of incident noise.

**What do you dislike about Spike.sh?**

One thing that could be improved in spike is the root cause discovery. Getting data that can derive the RCA of an incident would be very helpful in incident management

**What problems is Spike.sh solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Spike.sh platform solves incident management and on-call management. It helps us collate incident data from around 5-7 integrations like datadog, grafana, sentry, AWS etc in one place.
We use spike for incident management for multiple teams, services, and environments.

  ### 15. Reliable and timely alerts from Spike

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chitra K. | Vice President, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Spike.sh?**

Flexibility and easy to use. We can resolve incidents directly from phone, email and Teams too. Managing on-call scheduling across multiple offices and timezones is very easy.

**What do you dislike about Spike.sh?**

I guess deeper incident reports would be nice. Like how many times alerts were sent in the past and who got the alerts.

**What problems is Spike.sh solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting alerts for flagging transactions in my work is important. My team analyses using spike about transaction details and works on fixing them in real time. Transactions are mission critical for us so instant alerts are a great help for on-call members.
